From an initial idea to a complete county-wide tennis platform
We approached Nullshift with an initial concept for how we could transform the way the Suffolk Tennis player pathway operates. What impressed us from the outset was that they didn’t simply take a brief and build what we asked for - they helped us develop the idea, scope what was possible and turn it into something far more ambitious.
The team met with us and the other key stakeholders face-to-face, took the time to understand how county tennis actually operates and helped us shape the proposal that ultimately won the bid with Suffolk Tennis LTA.
From there, they moved incredibly quickly to develop a completely bespoke platform. The system now brings together bookings, monthly subscriptions and annual payments, player registrations, live registers, coaching reports and individual player feedback, as well as helping connect the different clubs and feeder clubs involved in the Suffolk pathway.
One of the most important aspects for us was creating something that Suffolk Tennis actually controls. Rather than relying on a hosted prototype, Nullshift helped move the entire pathway onto a system built around our requirements, with ownership and control of the technology and data.
The ambition has always been bigger than simply creating another booking system. We want Suffolk to become a premium destination for junior county tennis and to create a model that could ultimately be adopted by other counties.

We now can't wait to see it in action, with many youth county tennis players benefiting from the coaching system, so we can focus on what matters most: getting kids onto court and creating the new Andy Murrays.
