Nationwide Windows Avis 

Today 31/07/26 we had windows replaced. We live at flat 23 Hazelwood Stonehouse in Stroud District Councils Independent scheme for the elderly.
The two lads that carried out the work were Dave & Rhys, not only were they two great but very pleasant hard working men.

They arrived a little earlier than we expected but that pleased us. They were two very proficient workers who had respect for ourselves and our home.

The two gentlemen that came replaced our side door was polite and well mannered , very professional had our door sorted in no time at all. Would most definitely recommend this company to everyone. We are really pleased with it and thank you

Top fast great service before fitting office kept me up to date with all info I needed Pryor to my new front door being fitted then on the day workers Ben and Aron were so friendly and took great pride in fitting door cleaned up so well and came back a few mins later to check door was all working as should deffo recommend

Fantastic value, Fantastic quality, Gordon helped us out so well. And they even sent out there best engineer to put Saftey catches on our windows. Highly recommend.

Aaron and Leighton replaced all my windows yesterday and I couldn’t fault them. Very professional however very easy going and made me feel at ease. Highly recommend!

This company replaced all our windows in the property earlier in the year and once again the team did a great job on fitting the new front door which is far better.

Absolutely wonderful installation and very helpful installers cleaned away all the mess and amazing windows thank you.

John and Sam have just been to fit our new windows and doors, they have made an excellent job today! They have put dust sheets all down on the carpets, cleaned every little bit of mess, and even our mess away, they was very friendly and polite, nothing was too much hassle for them, I would 100% recommend them, great work John and Sam

Positive note: The two workmen were polite and friendly and their type of work involves a lot of hard work. Having to manually handle those very heavy doors is causing them back and shoulder injuries.
I was very happy with the type of door fitted, very clean, solid and the two window panels actually make a big difference in the hallway making it so much brighter. And wow thank you so much for five sets of keys especially the cost to cut a key now is very expensive!
Negative note:
They didn't lay on the ground a large covering to prevent the carpet from getting dirty.
I was very disappointed in all the mess and debris and all the thick dust that they made. When I realised how much mess they were making I said to them that if they had put a protective covering it wouldn't be like this, they didn't seem quite bothered both of them.
It took me ages to clean up all the mess. It's being respectful of the customers home.
I wouldn't want future customers to go through what I did, so they need to be spoken to in a good way, to avoid this being repeated.

On a really hot day the two men from Nationwide Windows and Doors fitted 10 windows and 1 door in my house in 5 3/4 hours. They were amazing. No mess and so efficient. Really pleasant and just got on with it despite the heat. Fantastic service. Thank you.

I had 4 windows fitted by Andy today at my house in Gosport

Andy was fantastic, clean and tidy and did a super job. Unfortunately I'm disappointed due to the factory making one of the bathroom glazing sections too small so Andy had to fit a white upvc blank until new glazing unit is manufactured.
Also kitchen window stay hinge bent so needs replacing. Not a great experience from nationwide to be honest apart from Andy the fitter of course.
So now they have to come back.in a few weeks to rectify.

This company was contracted by the local council to fix in new windows and doors. Initially the experience was ok and they fitted the windows on the first floor badly (leaving rubbish on the floor, working quickly and leaving large gaps at the top of the windows with no insulation, with cracks around the windows, and some windows not aligned correctly). They also fit in the new garden door. They weren't too friendly to start with because we kept following them around our house (for our protection and to protect our belongings). We also gave them some refreshments. However when they got to the ground floor that is when they became very rude and aggressive.

We had previously told the council that we did not want anyone using our toilets, since we had a very bad experience with the previous contractors, and the council said that that was fine and they would let the contractors know (the council even send us a confirmation message).

However, when we were asked by the one called Jack if he could use the toilet, we explained to him about the previous experience and that there was a pub 1 minute walk away they could use and get refreshments too. After that they became very aggressive and rude, even though we apologized for the inconvenience, and said that they would then leave. Then we asked for a number 1 or 2 and the man said “Doesn’t matter, for whatever I want!” very aggressively.

Then they went to the van to call someone and then quickly and without care finished the window in the kitchen and started getting their belongings and then knocked on the door. The older man said that they were leaving (with 1 door, and 3 windows left to do). We tried explaining again and the man said rudely that he didn’t care and then threatened us that he “would make sure that no other contractor would come and finish the windows and doors.” When I said that they were being rude the man aggressively started coming towards me and I had to back away and change the subject to ask if he needed me to move my car so that their van could go through.

Then they quickly left with 1 door, and 3 windows left to do, the keys to the windows that they did (which we needed), and a threat that our windows and door would never be finished.

I don’t know what someone expects from a contractor like this but I doubt it is this rude and aggressive experience. They also did not complete the job they were paid to do. It was not necessary, there was a pub 1 minute walk away they could have a break at.

I don’t want anyone else to have this experience which is why I am writing this review. My advise would be to hire a different contractor especially if you live alone. For others who don’t know contractors do not legal access to use strangers toilets, that would be absurd, they should have an alternative like a portable toilet (which is why the council asked us beforehand).

Very happy with my new door, very quick and efficient turnaround and installation date. Installation was quick and straight forward. Would use again for future work. Highly recommend.

Brilliant work done by Aaron and Ben in Warwick front door and windows

We recently had 7 windows replaced in our flat. We would like to thank our fitters Aaron and Ben. They did an excellent job. They worked very hard and were thoughtful to our needs, as we have two pet birds. They were friendly, efficient and tidied up both inside and out. We would recommend the excellent service.

Just had my windows fitted by Ade and Matt what a team very good at their job polite cosciencous and above hardly any mess no mess but never stopped tea😇 Nationwide are very lucky to have men of their elk Basingstoke

A lovely, happy and polite gentleman called Rich turned up to refit all our windows, he turned up at a reasonable time in the morning and what he thought would be an easy job took him all day, not only did he do a perfect job he was extremely professional and comical, in mine and my husband's opinion Rich went above and beyond, thank you Rich.

Because of the issues I had, I removed stars, they did finally have the decency to apologise for the late appointment, the fitters themselves did a good job.
