Oh Sew Crafty Avis 

I had seen the reviews here but they had a pattern I really wanted so I decided to take a chance - even if the wait might be long etc. However immediately after ordering the ‘in stock’ pattern I was then emailed that it was back ordered. Followed by another email that it was delayed. And another that it was discontinued. They then offered me an exchange - which I declined and asked for a refund. To which I was offered a credit note - which I declined and asked for a refund.
Left frustrated at all the back and forth and disappointed at them not actually having what they claimed was ‘in stock’.
They did send another pattern I ordered very quickly - so I guess that merits a star.

I posted this review to their website - but it wasn’t approved, despite being factual. They only seem to approve 5 star reviews - giving themselves 5/5 stars. Pointless. Will avoid in the future!

Wish I'd of read the reviews , ordered here , didnt mind the wait as it's a pandemic after all, items arrived today , 2 of them were fine but I order a 1kg bag of of cuts etc which I knew wasnt going to be perfect but nowhere did it state that the remnants were going to have dirty Mark's and some are bad Mark's and phone numbers and name and other numbers printed all over half of , one cut of opened up and it had a disgusting yellow huge mark in the middle , unfortunately I wont return to buy from there again, judging by these comments and the fact it's a non refundable item I've had to come and write this , it's a case of order and take a chance .
Shame as the other 2 items were fab .wouldve gotten a 5 star if the remnants hadnt been so marked and written on .

I ordered some fine cord dress making fabric. Spent hours pinning the pattern and cutting it all out only to discover that there is a flaw throughout the fabric, looks like a non-dyed patch. I contacted the company with no doubt that they would rectify the situation. Despite many emails and photos, they have totally refused to accept responsibility for selling me faulty goods and are refusing to replace or refund. Really shocking, can't believe I have totally wasted my money. Can't afford to buy another piece of fabric. Don't buy from here is my advice.

I am appalled at this company. I ordered dress fabric which I spent an afternoon laying out and carefully cutting my pattern. The next day I started to sew and noticed a flaw. On closer inspection this was a repeated flaw that runs the length of the fabric. Despite repeated patient attempts emailing them, they are completely refusing to replace or refund the fabric. I therefore am going to have to throw it away at my own expense!! There was a little fabric left uncut and they say they will give me a refund for that - hardly worth it! I am so furious about this - they have sold me faulty goods and should do the right thing and replace. I will not be shopping with them again. Only positive is that the person who responded to my emails has been very polite.

i ordered the fabric tuesday morning and it came 1pm on wednesday! shipping was unbelievably fast and fabric was cut perfectly, couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend!!

Really bad service.
Take your money then don’t deliver your items.
Quality of care not good.
Ordered fabric in November it arrived, wasn’t impressed with the cutting of fabric. Ordered quite a few in Half a metre. None of them were cut straight.
Poor care.
Ordered again just before Christmas items did not arrive had to chase them to get replacements sent.
Told me I had to contact Royal Mail.
When you are a business and you used delivery services it is down to them to chase and find out what has happened to it not the customer.
Do Not Use

I ordered quite late, not giving myself time for the order to be made up I kept my 🤞 as I was leaving the area for some months.
I had a quick helpful response and my click and collect was ready in time.

Excellent service, ordered my items one morning and they arrived the next day.
I had a question to ask the company and I emailed them in the evening, they replied the very next morning with an answer.
I would certainly use this company again.

Faulty items received, no customer service at all. No refund/replacement offered. Stay away.

I ordered two sewing patterns 3 weeks ago and they‘re still not even dispatched. I wrote them on facebook and as well tried it with email, no help whatsoever. Nightmare!

Fantastic customer service, nothing is too much trouble. The quality and price of the fabric is excellent. What more does anyone need.

I have ordered from oh sew crafty before with no problems BUT this time was told a certain fabric had been despatched twice!!! Then today I got a refund!! I don’t appreciate being lied to. If you haven’t got it just say so instead of lying to customers and then just refunding with no explanation, customer service = 0

I buy lots of fabric from ohsewcrafty. Really good fabric. Quick delivery. A few times It didn't arrive, but they sent more. Excellent service.

Brilliant Service! Ordered on the weekend and order was dispatched by Monday, Order arrived the next day. Happy with the product, will order again!

I have used this firm twice and recommend them.
The first order was a bit late and one item was omitted, however when I contacted them they replied promptly and sent out the missing fabric immediately.
I have found them courteous and helpful. Will use again. Good range of fabrics and helpful staff.

I too have ordered twice now from OhSewCrafty.co.uk. And echoing another customer "KE" recent comments back in Sep 2019 and must stress that situation has not improved much since either. Here's what you can expect:
- VERY LATE & incomplete delivery around 10 days on both of the orders;
- Both times emailed me a few days later into the orders that some items were "Out of stock" and offered alternatives (though at the time of ordering online, there was stock available) One would have thought their stock level matches between their online computer as well as physical stock;
- even when alternatives were suggested with an immediate reply, it still took them another 2-3 days to respond to you (if you are so lucky);
- Required repeated emails reminding the outstanding orders or queries that need addressing. The usual response "Due to working with skeleton staff, and an overwhelming volume of orders..." ;
- Cut the wrong colour fabric, but refused to accept responsibility and denied incorrect packing, even after being shown requested photographic proof (between White and Ivory - from previous order) & insisting "Our currently stock of Ivory is quite light..." The new delivered fabric is blatantly WHITE!;
- Insisted on the "correct" fabric being picked and because of that, I have to pay for the return postage for a full refund.

I have given them the opportunity to make amend on what I firmly believe is their mistake in picking the wrong fabric. Yet they insisted that the "white" they sent is the new "Ivory" (with the lame excuse that it is lighter) What a total nonsense if I am being honest. A simple apology, perhaps offer the opportunity to keep the fabric with a discount as gesture of goodwill would not hurt their wallet at all. It appears to me that they are NOT interested in an amicable solution nor encourage returning customer. Bad decision. So stay away from "Oh Sew Crafty" at all cost!

I don't recommend Oh Sew Crafty.. I lost my time and my money.

I placed an order on 21 May. Today is 12 June. I didn't received my items.
I tried to contact them few times and after few days of waiting I get an aswer :"oh.. the items should reached you by now" ...
The order wasn't marked at Dispached..

Shameeee Oh sew crafty. ( if you are not able to manage everything, limit your order.. but dont take people's money and after that you never answer)

A great selection of fabrics at reasonable prices.
I've been making masks to keep busy in lockdown and have placed multiple orders, all of which have arrived promptly, usually before the expected date. Zoe dealt with the confusion over an incorrect colour being sent quickly and easily. A great shopping experience.

I cannot rate this company highly enough. I have been using them for a few years now and my order has arrived within days. Yes sometime they contact you to say fabric is out of stock and give choice of a refund, credit or pick an alternative fabric. I have always found the fabric to be excellent quality and cheaper than elsewhere.
Re the other comments about out of stock fabric: surely you have to appreciate that with on line ordering this is going to be inevitable at times, not just with this company but others as well.

Absolutely shocking service.

I ordered two pieces of fabric, but received an email saying that one was not in stock. I agreed just to accept what they did have & purchased the other fabric elsewhere.

However, the material actually sent was what they had told me was out of stock & not what I now required. It was also 1 metre shorter than I had paid for.

On phoning the company, they accepted that they had made mistakes & I asked to be sent the correct material. Even though at this stage I had overpaid for what had been delivered & now have material, which was of no use to me, they were unwilling to rectify their mistakes without first being in possession of the incorrect material, thereby creating further delays. So their policy was for the customer to be further inconvenienced, even though it was their mistakes.

Most disconcerting was speaking to someone who was said to be a manger. He was good at talking, but not listening. I asked several times if I could be given the opportunity to speak without constant interruptions, but to no avail – he just talked over me & then very rudely put the phone down.

The conclusion is that I have overpaid for a product that I no longer have a use for. Given the managers attitude, it gives me little confidence that the matter will be resolved, even if I do return the incorrect fabric. I have leaned from my experience not to deal with this business again.
