I was given a share in The Mullet as a Christmas gift and I was over the moon with it. I have since brought 2 more shares in other horses, and one of those has won me a little bit of money to go towards my renewal.
It is the best gift that anyone could have whether you win or not, it’s the thought of having your own horse.

Born in Pontefract opposite the race course as the crow flew, race days were the highlights, seeing the horses and Price Monolu. Flat racing of course, now at 86 can and have indulged in buying shares in OGR horses,the weekly updates and the friendly office staff are amazing ambassador for newcomers to the real racing world giving me pleasure and a warm feeling of being a part of a family other than my own.

We have always wanted a share in a race horse but could never afford it, however when Old Gold Racing popped up on social media, we couldn't resist. They keep you informed by weekly round ups and specific emails about your horse. There are also events (stables open day, visits to courses, etc). My daughter and I attended Uttoxeter as owners of Akimos and had an amazing experience. We regularly attend flat and National hunt races but this elevated our experience. We loved entering the paddock, talking to the jockey and trainer and enjoying food from the owners and trainers bar. Fantastic!

I wouldn't dream of looking for shares in any other racing club.

I initially bought shares for my wifes birthday and was really impressed by the beautiful box set that arrived. My wife was very happy with her first horse who gave us joy to watch. We both now have shares in horses and have been able to attend as owners/trainers at Perth for my wifes horse and we had a lovely day at the races!

Old Gold Racing offer a low cost way into racehorse ownership. There are good communications and the opportunity for stable visits and to enter ballots for the Owners and Trainers experience at the races. Their main competitor Owners Group are probably a little more professional, especially their videos but Old Gold do seem to have sourced some very promising young horses recently. Highly recommended.
