****UPDATE***Replying to Olukai’s poor response; Return so far has been easy. Still waiting for refund. Since I liked the quality, I ordered from your store on Amazon. I ordered one size up on your Hiapo sandal AND Mekila in a size 14 AND THEY ARE STILL TOO SMALL! That’s 2 SIZES too small! What are the odds that I’m the only customer experiencing this gross variance in size?!? Why didn’t OluKai address your deceptive marketing conveys the idea that your products are made in Hawaii when they’re in fact made CHINA, AND charging a price as if they were made in America?!?! ****
I ordered a size 13 of one of their mariner shoes end of July for a trip to Italy in August and the fit was near perfect. I also ordered a pair of men’s slides for my son, size 9. They fit fine. No complaints as of yet.
I’m going on trip to Costa Rica this Saturday and needed a new pair of Sandals. I called customer service to help pick the right sandals for the trip sharing that I’ll be in and out of the ocean, my shoe size of 13, and she helped me pick out 2 pair and gave me expedited shipping. I received them yesterday and although the inside confirms size 13 they are both 1 size too small.
I scrambled to try and find the same sandals sold elsewhere, and landed on Amazon. It was there that I learned that the Mea Ola dark Java runs a size small! A size small!?! That info was not shared by the customer service rep at Olukai. The Ohana reviews of this same product in Amazon also reports that they run small, even though the product description shows True to Size. This data really needs to be in bold print on the Olukai website—that they run a whole size to small. why make them a size smaller in the first place?!?!
One last thing, the marketing and advertising for Olukai gives the impression that they are a Hawaii made product, made in the USA, that the benefit the Hawaiian community—but that’s not true. They are made in CHINA! Which kind of explains why there are so many inconsistent reviews in Amazon and the low score on Trust Pilot.
Both sandals looked great, but they are not advertisers right…now I have to scramble to find some sandals for my trip. What a disappointment!

Order returned by post on the same day as received due to Poor fit.
Email received 18th of August advising 5 business to days process and issue a refund. 20 days later & still no refund.
48 hours to respond or I’ll contact my bank and chargeback the full amount in dispute.

AMAZING quality and certified B Corp too. I had a technical issue with a promotion they were running with Strava and their customer service team was clearly human and helpful.
These shoes are the best I've ever owned and I would hands down recommend them.

BEWARE OF PURCHASING OLUKAI's ON AMAZON. OLUKAI REQUIRES AN OLUKAI ORDER NUMBER FOR WARRANTY RETURNS, BLOCKING AMAZON RETURNS. THEY EVEN TOOK DOWN THEIR WARRANTY PAGE ON THEIR WEBSITE.

Following a breakdown in communication I felt the need to take to the page of reviews. I cannot thank Olukai customer services for taking a relentless ethos to get to understand what had gone wrong with my brief encounter with customer services. Olukai not only pride themselves in the delivery of premium footwear they also have an equal focus on understanding the customers needs to understand what has gone wrong with a purchase. I am overwhelmed by the steps taken by the customer care team to resolve any shortfalls. To this effect I have purchased another pair of footwear thus buying with confidence. Thank you to the Olukai customer care team for going the extra mile !👍

I paid $200 for a pair of leather sandals and assumed I was buying quality. Bought them at end of summer last year and left them in the box until this year. Wore them a 2 months on a few weekends. Sole pad is coming loose and curling on both sandals. Not worth the money and just out of year warranty even though they were in their box 95% of that year.

The side of my left flip flop ripped out of the sole after the middle of their second summer. Summers are pretty short where I live. Bummed because I paid a premium for them.

My husband and I have purchased MANY pairs of your Flip flops. The men’s version holds up great. The women’s version however, gets slick on the bottom of the sole after about 6 months of wear. I’m not sure why they are made so differently . Very frustrating considering how much these cost. As much as I love them, I will never buy them again.
Very stiff plank like feel. Sizes are to big. Returns not excepted. Stay away. Going back to Tevas for a third of the price. Oh and in the water the dye comes out so they turn gray.
Sandals/flops (Uleli) failed after 3 months. Regular outdoor use. Very comfortable sandals. BUT they stood by warranty and replaced. Great sandals
Amazing experience when a pair of shoes I ordered came with a small scratch on them when I initially just unboxed them. Customer service was called and they offered to just expedite a new (hopefully perfect pair) and then because the first pair was damaged told me just to go ahead and keep them. No return needed. Very rarely have I had customer service like that anywhere in my 51 years!
Long delivery time and impossible to get in contact with live customer service. received bot generated email after 48 hours with useless information. Online stated 3 day shipping. I will not purchase again.
The shoes are awful made i.e. stitching came loose rather quickly, the dye in the shoes will turn your feet black (the ones I bought were obviously black) if they get wet and overall they are not all that comfortable. For all the hype I got sucked in but for the price I would never purchase another pair again.
I purchased shoes over 5 weeks ago. They never arrived. I tried to contact customer support with multiple emails. They responded once apologising saying that they obviously went astray in the post. They promised to resend them. They have not but they have kept the money and made no offer to refund it
A truly terrible experience and clearly a company that borders on a scam
Do not use them unless you enjoy throwing money away.

I received the incorrect pair of flip flops and have been unable to get in contact. I've emailed every day for the past week and got a reply between 10pm and 2am so there was 24 hours between email replies. No contact number and online chat doesn’t work.
Edit: Olukai have finally confimed they will send a replacement out and I can keep the incorrect pair which is nice. Got there eventually 😊
Agree with everybody else. Terrible company as far as customer service. Will never deal with them again. An example of a company that got too big and doesn’t care about customers anymore.
If you want crap made in China and customer service that will ignore you or laugh in your face when you call. This is your shoe and your company. They are awful.
BUYER BEWARE! Offers free returns but hides the minimum 8% restocking fee in the small print, which costs about double price of paying for your own return. Dishonest practice.
