what a bullshit company I am 63 and I can't ass an age verification with my high vis phone? not enough light in the sunshine FU! boycott now!

Garbage selfie process. Unable to pass this step because I have to spend so much time on 'hold steady', 'move closer', etc. and then after 10 minutes it ends in failure for reasons unknown. Literally unable to use a service because I'm locked out due to Ondato's awful selfie process. Perhaps there's a racial component and they're discriminating against non-white people? It wouldn't surprise me. I spent 2 hours on this stupid thing and I still can't get age verification.

Worst of these face scan apps, i’ve used most of them and others recognize i’ve got a face. Ondato keeps me taking selfies for hours and just ain’t gonna let me pass. It might be because of the tattoos

I would give 0 stars if I could because selfie verification is not working, even changed browser, cleared browser, restarted browser, taking selfie in different places where even a niddle in a bush is visible and still selfie verification failed, cant verify myself on Fansly and Fanvue, I hope they will start using something else... Who ever use Ondato will make a mistake, they also buy 5 star rating on TrustPilot.

Ondato positions itself as a turnkey compliance solution, and the core concept is solid, but the product creates a lot of unnecessary friction during onboarding. The onboarding form is brittle (very low file-size limits, single upload fields, and structural quirks) and has caused workflow-stopping errors for many customers. Those UX problems repeatedly block progress and require manual intervention.

If Ondato wants to live up to its “final piece of compliance” claim, it should prioritize: increase upload limits and allow multiple file fields; harden server-side validation so the workflow never halts on a small error; improve error messaging and retry logic; and provide a stronger support model with named owners, SLAs, and genuine product ownership. There’s a lot of potential here.

Es klappt keine einzige Verifizierung! Problem dabei ist, das die Anbieter die den Dienst nutzen, einem keine weitere Chance geben sich zu verifizieren. Absoluter Müll und nicht nutzbar! Ein Frechheit obendrein. Ich kann nichts nutzen weil Ondato so schlecht ist!

Horrible. The service fails for me for any offical document or any selfie I have to take wherever Ondato is involved. Not too long ago I failed again for their KYC so-called "experience" and then on the same day I used a different service to authorize myself (using the same documents) for the German Finance authorities, which worked like a charm and on the first try. The only way I can explain why companies work with Ondato is very likely because they are cheap compared to technical more advanced solutions. As a person who is leading a European customer success team, I can only say: companies stay away from this. And if you are already working with them, you might want to reconsider your partnership.

Terrible experience trying to use this service. The "Take a selfie" won't tell me whats wrong, after following all instructions. Been trying to use their service for an hour with it not working.

Maybe if they hired real people instead of using AI as a cop out, there wouldn't be a literal list of people having the exact same issue that's left unfixed. Like many others I'm stuck on "take a selfie" as it finds every excuse to reject it. I'm sure an actual person would be better for this, but that would cost too much apparently

After 30 attempts to capture a "workable" selfie, it simply fails then gives another error after continued fails that waiting period is too long. Not functional s/w. Shouldn't be overly complicated. A selfie and an ID. Should take less than 30 seconds.

Stuck trying to "Take a selfie". It just keeps activating and deactivating the camera (which BTW only works if you do not allow temporary access only, which isn't mentioned anywhere). Stuck on a spinner, and then it just goes back to the "Take a selfie" screen. Tried in multiple browsers. Utterly broken crap.

Customer Safety Control is the main motto of Ondato, and they are trustworthy enough to collaborate. My company has taken their services for customer verification. What we get in return is really mesmerizing. From identity verification to due diligence processes, they offer the best and do their best to satisfy us. I like their customization part the most. It entirely fits my business needs and all.

Their "service" sucks - it is not available for all major browsers, but is for some known for being hacker-friendly.
Their "service" sucks - even after going through multiple attempts to use it, they are unable to take a simple picture.
Their "service" sucks - if they manage, on gazillionth attempt to take a picture with the result, they're unhappy, but not clear about reason and the pain of using their "service" starts from scratch.
