If it wasn't so serious id say it was hilarious. Faulty from the minute it arrived and after exchanging emails with a variety of idiotic instructions, the real hilarity appears. My final email on the matter "Lee. Thanks for your email. 

I think irrespective of the direction it faces, and what time zone i may be in, or whether there is a roof overhang or any other factor you want to throw my way, I will simply say its not fit for purpose which is the simple deciding factor under the sale of goods act. Nowhere do you stipulate as a requirement of purchase that it was to be placed specifically, let's face it, most houses where they want the number .... is the front of the house, and they can't control the sun.

So to that end sir, the service overall is poor, the product is poor and my reviews will cover that. I will buy another product but encourage you to reconsider either your approach to sales or customer service.

Worst experience sent me faulty lights which they tried to refuse to refund me so I had to go through a CHARGEBACK with the bank.

They send you drawings trying to say it's winter and no sunlight Bla Bla.

Really they already have these charts made to try scare the customer to not do a charge back. Don't fall for it.

Great sign, really helpful staff, when I called for a custom layout of a sign. We definitely recommend and if you want something a little different or just to clarify anything. Give them a call or email.

I’m really disappointed with my experience. The sign has not worked properly since receiving it. I’ve tried troubleshooting multiple times - including fully recharging it and repositioning it (both north and south facing as advised) - but it still does not turn on.

The sign was not simply “left in shade.” I specifically removed it and left it in full direct sunlight for two full days to ensure it was completely charged. Even after doing this, it still does not illuminate at night unless I physically cover the sensor with my hand. That indicates a fault with the product itself, not just placement.

I followed the troubleshooting advice given, repositioned it as suggested (including testing both north and south-facing), and ensured it had adequate charge. Despite this, the issue continued.

The seller offered to have the sign returned for testing, which I agreed to. However, after it was sent back, it was simply returned to me without any clear communication about what had actually been tested, what the findings were, or why the issue I was experiencing was not addressed.

The communication became defensive rather than solution-focused, and no clear resolution was provided. I was told the product had been tested, yet no detailed follow-up or explanation was shared when the issue persisted.

I understand this is a small business, but customers still deserve a product that works as described and fair resolution when it doesn’t.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend based on my experience. Having had a look at their reviews I should have known. In the end, I had to go through my bank to recover my money. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

I love my sign, looks great and works well. Really adds a smart look to the property.

We’ve had one of these solar house signs for a while now and it’s a solid, well made product. The design is genuinely different and looks far better than the generic signs you see everywhere. It feels sturdy and well finished, not flimsy or mass produced.

It’s worth noting that it’s solar powered, so placement matters. Ours works exactly as it should because we followed the instructions and installed it where it actually gets daylight. If it’s fitted in a shaded area, it won’t charge properly, which isn’t a fault of the sign, just how solar lighting works.

Once installed correctly, it charges well and lights up reliably. A good quality product that does what it says, as long as it’s fitted as intended.

Solar signs work only for 2 hours. Cells are unobstructed. Company unhelpful. Tell me it’s winter so less efficient. Refusing refunds. Offering hard wired at a discount. But we already paid for solar that are non functional. Lots of excuses.

Avoid, pay a bit more and get something that works Very disappointed with product and company

Sadly the solar signs aren’t fit for purpose in the uk. You need them for winter light illumination. They are not in shadow or covered but last 2 hours only. The company say they are south facing and read terms and conditions blah blah. I want a solar sign that works. These don’t. Company just say it’s winter. You don’t need signs in summer when light. Don’t bother with solar signs from here. They are no good

Further to your rude response, the signs ARE ABSOLUTELY in direct sunlight, and have nothing at all obstructing the sunlight hitting the solar panel. Congratulations on your appalling customer relations, as impressive as your product. You talk of lack of brightness. It’s lack of functionality that is the problem.

Useless. Bought a battery operated house sign. Worked for a few days then stopped. After reading a few other reviews it became clear why, unless you have 7 solid hours of direct sunlight on the unit then it will not charge up.

Ordered a hard wired illuminated sign and was delivered within 10 days of order. Had an issue with the spelling of our house name and contacted them expalining the issue. I had a response within 2 hours and new sign again delivered with 10 days. Makes a massive difference at the front of the house both as a daytime sign and especially night time when illuminated

First hard wired house sign stopped working after a month and replacement one has now stopped working

Got a solar house sign with back light, had it 2 days lights up for about a hour in the dark then runs out. Wish I read these reviews first what a waste of money

I placed an order with this company for a door sign & door mat. I had a slight issue with the door mat so I reached out via email. A replacement was sent, the problem was resolved promptly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends & family. The products sold are of high quality at a very good price with really clear fitting instructions too.

Ordered a fantastic door sign and not only was it on sale, but the shipping was very inexpensive too! I am very pleased with my purchase. Excellent quality and very sturdy. I'll be back there to shop again soon.

The main issue is how long it stays illuminated for and how long and how strong the sun needs to be for it to work.

In winter, forget this being illuminated for any length of useful time. On a very cloudy day, it won't come on at all. If there has been sun most of the day, it will come on for a few hours but as couriers work up until 9.00pm, you can forget this being of any use to them.

I would never have purchased this if I had known that.

Purchased solar powered backlit house sign, the website states it will stay illuminated for 8-10 hours. The battery only lasts for a couple of hours. Customer services terrible, after I complained they explained that the unit requires 6 hours sunlight to achieve the advertised performance. These units are absolutely useless. The customer service advisor (Lee) explained that basically winter is adverse weather, so this unit wont work when you need it the most. The website does not make this clear and to suggest ‘winter’ is adverse weather is ridiculous.

Purchased backlit house sign, but the battery only lasts 1.5-2.0 hours when its dark as the unit requires 6 hours DIRECT sunlight to work for 8 hours. So unlike all other solar products that charge in daylight, not sunlight, these units are useless. We are now in winter so this unit wont work when you need them most.

Fantastic customer service. I ordered my postbox from here because it was the only place that sold a Matt black postbox for a reasonable price! First one arrived and was damaged, Lee handled the replacement exceptionally! I emailed on Friday and this must have been replaced and sent on Saturday. New postbox arrived Monday! Would definitely use again

So far, very pleased with the design and look of the product. Discrete solar battery, not a large thing taking over half the space on the sign.
I note the comments about sunlight and battery time. My box stated it works and will charge on cloudy days, so I will see. So far, so good.
