We had our Starlink installed today, the Technician was polite, professional and quick. I often see negative reviews about "your technician did not clean my floor after installation." 1. Their job is not housekeeping, their job is installing the service you purchased. 2. When you invite others to your house, under no circumstances your guests are responsible for the well-being of your house. In this case, you invited the technician to come to your house at the time of purchase. You should be prepared prior to technician's arrival.

Starlink may be a scam

Ordered starlink on March 3 received order March 11. The tech from onteck didn't show up for installation on March 14. Rescheduled for March 18 tech still did not show up. Rescheduled for March 20. Starlink has charged us two times and we still don't have service.

Impossible to get a refund or return…

Impossible to get a refund or return any defective hardware. I bought an AirTV Anywhere and it would not connect to my fiber optics network. Have been on the phone with Ontechsmartservices three times over 5 days. Calls go for 30 minutes including being on hold and then NO RETURN AUTHORIZATION label ever arrives in email.

Overcharged me - Installation tech was good

Installation tech was great and did a great job explaining. The issue is he arrived and told me I ordered the wrong installation package and I needed to agree to the additional charge or he would leave and I would have to reschedule. It turns out I was overbilled by over $100 and Ontech would do nothing to help me even though they acknowleded the installation should have been a different price.
Working with my credit card to dispute.
I will never use Ontech again.

Absolutely the biggest rip off company…

Absolutely the biggest rip off company out there. Do not waste your time and money.
I was charge $159.99 to upgrade my simply safe security system that was existing in my home already.
The next day my credit card was charged an additional $174.06, Because the technician said he was here for two hours, and he was here for exactly 58minutes. I am unable even to get the address of the company to make a complaint. Customer service is laughable. The technician Bruce Was a total ConMan.
Don’t trust them with your credit card or in your home.

Technician says he could not fix our nest doorbell that they had previously installed. He didn't even try. A TOTAL WASTE of our money. Doorbell was working fine until we got new internet service and is less than 2 yrs old. Lousy service!!!!!

Absolute worst customer service

Worst customer service. Didn't install a part and refused to reimburse claming we never told them about it and they didn't see it. Ok, but it was sitting on the box of the item that they did install. I spent months trying to resolve it but only got reply when I filed a complain with the BBB. Find another company to use. They have so many negative reviews on multiple platforms.

Buyer beware

My mom thought she was calling ring but got this company instead. They charged her $160 to come out and diagnose her issues. The guy was there about 25 minutes. We have cameras around the entire house. All you see him do was walk around and look at the areas my mom must have told him she wanted the items to go. He told my mom it was going to cost $434 to install a doorbell, a flood light and a wifi router. He told her he was going to come back. Had her sign something and never came back. What he had her sign was a a receipt of sale saying the items were installed and she was satisfied and charged her. I tried calling the company they refused to refund the money stating the services were complete while I have tangible proof nothing was done. I've tried filing disputes through the credit card and currently we are still out nearly $600 for absolutely no work being done. I would caution anyone to stay away. My mom is 67 with dementia, this company took advantage of her.

Everything is wrong with this company!

Everything is wrong with this company!! First off two guys show up and neither of them had anything to show identification from OnTech. They had no clue what they were doing. Not sure why two guys showed up. Something felt off. They said one guy was new and in training and this was only his second install. His boss or trainer spent 98% of his time outside arguing with his wife who called every two mins if he hung up with her. The new guy apologized and said he was sorry that he was new and didn’t know what he was doing. My entire Simply safe system was installed incorrectly. It shows all my entry sensors are opened. This is frightening since they can come back and rob me.

They took my phone and kept it the entire time they were here. I have a screen lock on my phone and only two times in the 5 hours they were here and had my phone did my screen code need put in. This is totally wrong and I knew at that point they had done something to my phone. I feel like my phone was compromised. I only wanted them to install the things I couldn’t and wasn’t ready to set up my system that day but they insisted it was how it had to be done. They got my router and modem passcode,could have gotten anything they wanted off my phone. This is just not right and when I used them in the past they didn’t do this. I feel like I need to get a new phone now and calling my phone co to report how they took the phone for 5 hrs. It was so odd the head guy who was training the guy wasn’t training him at all and spent most of his time outside on the phone. It was all bizarre.

They installed my entry sensor on my garage door wrong and when I opened the garage door after they left because I immediately had to call simply safe cause everything was just wrong they said my garage door was showing opened. When I opened it the sensor went flying off into the driveway and broke.

The sensor on my bedroom window was not installed correctly at all(how scary is this ladies??) It actually showed opened to simply safe and on my keypad. I saw the new guy looking up how to install them. It lost all the sticky on it cause hex and needs replaced. Mind you the entire time his boss is outside on what he said was a company conference call. It was Christmas Eve so I highly doubt they had a company conference call. The man was totally not present. Here but not present until the end when he took pics of all the codes on my boxes so they could get paid for installing. I am demanding my money back! I told them they were already paid. I also feel like this was a breach of confidentiality. They took a pic of this long number they told me to put into my phone they had total control of and I said NO,I am not taking a pic of this 32 digit code number that they said I needed to install on my phone in case I wanted to make any changes on my account. I’ve since found out this is NOT TRUE!!

There was more but I am too mentally drained to type any more of this out. I felt violated, I feel like them taking over my phone for 5 hours and obviously disabling my screen lock code was over the top a huge security issue for me now. I felt totally violated. ADT called while they were here and I am switching to them. If Simply Safe is going to use these jugheads to install my security system I am going to Simply Switch Security companies to ADT. Beware of this company!!

THE WORSE SERVICE EVER STAY AWAY

THE WORSE SERVICE EVER STAY AWAY. My doorbell isn’t working at all and they said they would refund me. I called back and they’re giving me the run around saying I have to wait to be contacted by a supervisor. A whole month later I still haven’t been connected . I’m out of $200 dollars

Paid for a Consult, wasted my time and money

Paid for an online consultation for a smart security system. The technician showed up in a Dish Network truck. When I asked about it, he said "Oh, we do everything." The consultation consisted of him spending most of the time searching on his phone and I had to ask him if he wanted to look at the property. I got frustrated and sent him away. I would not trust this company installing a security camera system in my home.

Technician never came

Technician never came. No one called. I received an email just a few hours before they were supposed to come confirming that they were coming, and then they never showed up. Their call center employees people with very difficult to understand Asian accents. They said they'd call me back but never did. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Did Not Receive Order. Company Refuses to Issue Refund

Ordered an AirTV to be shipped. Paid extra for 2-day air. Did not receive the package after 3 days. Called and was told it would be there that day. Asked for a tracking number and was told there Isn't one but to call back if I don't receive it by the end of the day. I didn't receive it and called back the next morning. Was told it would be 7 to 10 days to track down my order. I asked to cancel the order and be refunded. They refused to do so and said I needed to wait the 7 to 10 days and when I receive it I can ship it back if I don't want it. I asked for a supervisor and they refused to transfer me. So, I am paying for express delivery for nothing, and can't cancel my order. This place is a SCAM!

Never showed up to several scheduled appointments

Paid almost $500 for a few things to be installed. 8 weeks after ordering, they have never come to my house and have been no-shows twice for scheduled appointment windows. They keep telling me after the missed weekday appointments that the technician had a family emergency. And then they schedule for 3 weeks out. After all this nonsense I have just cancelled my entire order. But seeing other reviews, I guess I am lucky they didn't show up and break something. AVOID!

Google Nest Camera Install Fail

I booked them for a camera install for our backyard. The tech improperly installed the camera punching 2 extra holes into my siding and he screwed the cord on the internal side into painters tape in a hallway we were painting at the time. It made no sense. OnTech refused a refund, offered a new tech to fix it but I had already made the repairs. They are not professionals. Do not use this service.

They Canceled Last-Minute

I had installation scheduled for some time, but an hour before the tech was supposed to arrive they rescheduled without notice to me. I'd taken the afternoon off just to be at home during the installation. Also, I'd scheduled it so the doorbell camera would be installed before leaving on vacation - which it won't be now. Even worse, when I called to try to get information about the rescheduling, the phone agent was not helpful at all. I will never use the Google Store or these guys again.

I hired Ontech to install our…

I hired Ontech to install our Simplisafe system. The door & window sensors have a tape for temporary alignment, then screws for permanent alignment. A few days after they activated the system, I was getting alarm notices from Simplisafe. Apparently they only used the tape to install on the overhead doors, and the sensors fell off. In chatting with Simplisafe, Ontech had also installed the base station incorrectly!! I worked with Simplisafe to get the system working correctly and then called OnTech requesting a refund!! OnTech said that they would have sent another installer to fix the problem, but they don’t issue refunds. Why not do it right the first time?? I’d never use them again!!

I wish I had checked out the reviews before booking this service. It's a total bait and switch! Find an alternative. I booked online for a camera solar installation. Apparently that is 159 AND I also should've added to my cart ANOTHER 159 charge to install the camera itself. The site is VERY confusing as to what you need to purchase. When the tech arrived an hour after his window he let me know I would need to pay another 159 to have the camera installed because my order was for the solar only BUT the site does not say solar "only" it says "camera solar installation". Anyway I refused to be bullied into paying more. I had to install the solar panel "only" and will give my money to a better company. Will never use for future either!

I had an appointment with ontech to…

I had an appointment with ontech to install my simplisafe alarm system. I did not receive my day before notice so I called 2x the day before my appointment to verify they were coming between 8-10am the next day. Both times I was told yes. The day of my appointment no one came and at 8:30am my apt was cancelled due to no one in the area being able to install it
