Open a Nursery - Curtly Ania Avis 

We had a really great experience with Open a Nursery in the UK and would definitely recommend their services to anyone preparing for an Ofsted inspection.

We booked an in-person session with Curtly at quite short notice, and he was very accommodating and able to fit us in, which we really appreciated. During the visit, we went through interview preparation and also did a full walk-through of the building.

Curtly suggested a few changes during the walkthrough, and thankfully we were able to get these done in time before the inspection, which made a big difference. His advice was practical, clear, and based on real experience, and it really helped boost our confidence going into the inspection.

We’re so pleased to say that we successfully passed, and the support we received definitely played a part in helping us feel prepared.

Very exceptional and supportive

Curtly’s approach was incredibly structured. We worked through each section of the interview methodically and provided feedback after each question. Where to tweak and what else to consider.

Before this session, I was nervous about the Ofsted visit, but now, after the session, I am confident that I will succeed.

My face to face consultation with Curtly went really well. He was there on time, relaxed and ready to support and advise me. This meeting was about a new premises for my nursery. As this is my first nursery, I was relying on him for support. The two hours (he stayed for more than two and half hours until the end of the meeting) was very productive. We were able to discuss with the landlord all the issues on my list, from the layout of the nursery like were to put the toilets for the children, the kitchen, the staff room and the manager’s office. All the essential details were agreed with the landlord. For me, among other things agreed today, the two most important achievements were the main entrance change and the open plan option. The decision to move the entrance to the back of the building probably saved me a lot of stress, money and time. By the end of the consultation, I had a clearer view of what the nursery will look like. I now have the confidence to proceed with the contract and building work. The consultation was a success.

The "Open a Nursery" courses and YouTube videos have been excellent resources for me as I embarked on starting my own nursery. They guided me from the initial idea all the way to a successful visit from Ofsted. I highly recommend these courses to anyone who dreams of starting their own nursery.
