ORIGINAL STORMTROOPER Avis 3

I bought one of these around 10 yrs ago when he'd just one his court case and thought, yes good for him I'll have me one of those. Well for £1000 what you get is all your boyhood fantasies of being a stormtrooper kind of pee'd all over.
Cheap sheet moulded plastic and although looks cool, on closer inspection it's just a bit, meh. If this is British workmanship then thank god the robots took over.
The helmet is deformed, apparently due to the 'technology available at the time'. Well, I'm a toolmaker (no not hammers and the like. Die casting that stamps out car bodies etc) and going by the quality of this armour I think he may of been on one too many disco biscuits back in the 70s.
On further research, it would appear he didn't design and sculpt the original stormtrooper so his back story is a work of fiction, and the only thing he has in common with Star Wars.
Oh, and let's not mention the inflated prices. For the Hero Helmet, you get different eye lenses all for a small fee of £250+ (which is double the cost of the basic/same helmet).
But to give him credit, he's only trying to make a living and I do live with a stormtrooper. Let's not forget there are worse people out there ripping us off daily.
It's just a shame he told so many porkies.

Ordered 8 bottles and received someone elses order. Product was for a birthday present and had to send it back in order to receive what I ordered and the therefore passed the date. Seems to be a communication issue throughout their customer service team. Good tasting beer but very poor customer service.

Not 501st approved out of the box.

TLDR; Dont buy this suit if you want it 501st approved.

Phew what a year.
Its been a year since I purchased the ultimate combo deal.
If only I knew what I was getting into before making my purchase.

On its website and out of it box it looks like a stormtrooper, but it isnt really.. I mean it is and rookies and newer fans will appreciate it.

However Im still struggling to get this suit approved in the 501st - Which is the Star Wars Charity/Fan club that you wanna be in if you´re investing this kind of money in a suit.

Here is a list of things that I´ve been redoing and purchasing again from other professionals to almost get this 501st approved.

* Biceps - Not fully closed (Overlap)
* Shoulders
* Forarms - Not fully closed (Overlap)
* Abdominal button plate - Really poor quality and is too big for approval.
* Belt - Not canvas (Like what the heck, original in the movies was canvas), no rivets/snaps for holster (No loops allowed for ANH)
* Blaster - Poor resin cast, missing multiple details
* Tight armor - (Overlap)
* Chest armor - Straps going from the back armor needs to be glued on to the chest armor "easy fix".
* Neck seal too small on the back
* Redone almost the whole system for velcro, snaps and affixing.

I for one was expecting better service, quality and product for the price.

Price for Ultimate combo deal: 1699,99GBP
Price for all the extra stuff: 750GBP
Time spend fixing stuff: hours>40

Final verdict: Do not buy.
