We enrolled our Grade 6 kids(twins) in Katherine's online creative writing classes, and the experience has exceeded every expectation. From the very first session, her warmth and encouragement created a space where both of them felt comfortable expressing their ideas — and it shows in their writing.
What truly sets Katherine apart is her professionalism. She is always prepared, punctual, and organized. The online format is seamless, and she clearly puts thought into making virtual lessons engaging and interactive for young learners. She communicates consistently with parents, keeping us informed about progress, which we really appreciate.
Our twins have grown enormously as writers. Katherine has a wonderful ability to nurture each child's individual voice rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

Katherine has been an absolutely fantastic teacher for our daughter, supporting her through the ups and downs of a tricky last couple of years at primary school. She helped very efficiently to prepare our daughter for 11 plus (including advising on a project, interviews and group exercises). She has also been an incredibly valuable source of advice to us on how support our daughter with her learning, work with our current school and select our daughter's secondary school. While Katherine was on maternity leave, we worked with another tutor at Orion, Hannah, who was also fantastic.

Katherine is the best tutor we could have wished for. Initially, Katherine helped our dyslexic, neurodiverse daughter with maths and English catch up when things became difficult at her school. We then decided at the 11th hour to pursue the 11+ exams. Katherine prepared her for those exams with only weeks to go and we managed to secure a place at three great selective schools. All that while keeping up our daughter's spirits and love of learning. Katherine is truly special.

Katherine is a wonderful teacher. She helped my teenage son to re-engage with his education when he had been struggling at school. She is patient and kind and completely understands the needs of children with neurodiversity. She provided an individual learning experience for maths and English for my son, so he could learn at his own pace, which really helped to boost his self-confidence.

Katherine helped both my children with their 11+ English and I cannot recommend her tutoring and teaching enough. She is patient, diligent and created a genuine enjoyment in the subject that my children still have now.

When I was doing 11+, my English fluency was questionable as I am an immigrant. However Katherine’s sessions were extremely helpful in many ways and it improved my creative writing and reading comprehension more than I could’ve ever imagined.

I am very thankful to have had such a lovely tutor, especially during lockdown, where online learning made school very difficult - but she was always there to help!

While my initial intention was only a few hours with Katherine to boost my fluency in daily English speaking, I ended up having extremely pleasant sessions with her over the last 3 years.

Our conversations go beyond daily communication, where I have the privilage to touch on much wider and intellectual topics with her including arts, cultures, travel, UK schooling system, etc. Her guidance during my son’s 7+ preparation exams was invaluable.

I’m grateful to have Katherine not only as a coach but also as a friend, who inspires me to think deeper and express myself stronger.
