DONT USE THEM for extensions - they mess you about for 10 months, blame planning and building control. Then weeks before start date they increase the price and hold you to ransom, refusing to refund your deposit £2500 - taking court action against them.

Unprofessional company. Bad messy work done on garage. Don't bother replying to your issues, email, complaint. Not interested in customer after sales service.
Don't use them. Avoid at all cost.

This company are a shower of cowboys. It is not them actually doing the garage they do the base work then get someone else to build the garage. They will make a mess of your drive to put the base in and not repair the holes they themselves have made. They take no responsibility at all. Do not use them.

We had our full garden landscaped and purchased a large outdoor building to be built. Building part was 10/10 so professional and well done. The landscaping is where everything went downhill. Decking re done 3x.. artifical grass 2x and slabs 2x and slabs still dont look great, still a few wobbly and not straight. Really disappointed with how the landscaping went. In the end it was rushed and cost us alot of money for a poor job.

Horrific service, ordered in Feb advised that we would not need any planning or warrents etc. Agreed to go ahead and for weeks heard nothing, then we had to chase and was told there was mis communication. Advised they would send drawings over and heard nothing again after posting deposit, we also advise we wanted a few amendments to drawings and assured this would be passed on but it wasn't. Weeks this went on for and in the mean time a neighbour informed us we would need a building Warrant as adding to back of house, called Stuart who had given original quote and he went through his usual sales patter stating in his experience we didn't and when we stated we didn't want his opinion we wanted factual information he became angry and stated he could not work directly with us and hung up phone. We then spoke with architect who stated we did need a warrent and then David the partner also stated we needed a warrent. David advised he would come out personally and go over drawings and would call next day to arrange, heard nothing, everytime we spoke with david he would advise he would do something to a timescale and when it didn't happen there was a 'mis communication'.
We then tried to get deposit back and they advised it was for the architects drawings so we asked if they would then send the correct drawings over to warrent spec and advised by David this would happen, what we received was a joke or was a sketch done on a computer.
It also seems they have traded previously under same name and that company had gone bust and they have just reopened under different partners names. Avoid these cowboys at all cost. I've raised investigations/concerns with trading standards. I'm sure they have built a few nice buildings but it's a very expensive gamble. Check out company house history and avoid avoid avoid!!!!!!!!

The professionalism all the way from the girls in the office to the guys who carried out the works were courteous and hard working even through some terrible weather

Absolutely delighted with the artificial grass landscaping work that Outdoor Building Group recently carried in my garden.

This was a job (that due to some tricky access issues) other firms asked for quotes had rejected altogether but the guys at OBG took the whole thing in their stride.

Very happy with the consultative approach, attention to detail and cheery, friendly tradespeople. Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure I was 100% delighted with the work before they left (and not without thoroughly tidying up the site).

Would not hesitate to recommend them.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Upon initial point of contact I asked the company what size timber they would be using for the build. I received a response of 'why does that matter?'. Clearly have something to hide when they can't answer a simple a question.
Upon sending my specifications of what I was looking for I received a misogynistic response laughing at what I had written and saying I had copied and pasted the information from somewhere.
Avoid at all costs. If this is how they treat customers before they have your money I can only imagine how horrific they must be to deal with once they do have your money.

On 25th January 2021 I placed an order (jointly with our neighbour) for removal of an asbestos garage roof and replacement roof. I was told verbally that the Survey (for which we paid a deposit on further research something most companies do not request) would be completed in February as “Mark was getting through the surveys well” and that the works would be completed in March. I had several communications with OBG as to when the Survey was going to be done. February came and went no Survey or date for same far less works. I eventually was told, after yet another phone call, that Ross would be coming out on 6th March for Survey on both properties. Ross arrived ( no PPE or social distancing as per Covid government guidelines.) We were informed by our neighbour that Ross had inspected both inside and outside of his garage but when he arrived at our door he said it was not necessary to inspect our garage either from the outside or the inside! A statement I found to be astonishing to say the least and completely unacceptable. I asked Ross if he had samples of the roof coverings to which he said he would come around on Monday 8th with said samples. No one arrived. I have e-mailed the Company with my complaint re non existent Survey on our garage and have also telephoned this morning only to be told Charlene is in our opinion conveniently not at her desk. As yet I have received no return call as promised. I have also been asked by e-Mail to sign documents for the whole job yet my neighbour has not received any documentation to sign meaning I would be signing for both properties. I would certainly be very wary of any Company who request upfront deposits after this experience and going by the manner in which we have been treated for this small job I would steer well clear of this Company.

Have to add 2 positive reviews left one from Donna Hemple (Stuart Hemple a director wife) and David Ferrie the architect are there to try and improve their ratings. Says it all really. Reported to Trustpilot.

I regret not researching other companies before making my decision. There were a number of red flags starting with them taking the deposit then hearing nothing for weeks to the builders turning up with no plans and nearly tearing down a wall which was not to be removed. Read the other review from Alexis on them as mybexperience was the same.
There are better companies who would treat their customers with respect and listen to their concerns but as far as OBG are concerned their work is always perfect.
Once they have taken your money you are on your own and they will find all manner of excuses not to accept their work may be substandard. Dealing with a so called director who clearly cares only about himself and his bank balance. You will not see any negative reviews on their Facebook page as they remove comments they don't like. Positive reviews are also left by family members, check directors name as his wife has left a positive review. They have got too big too quickly and everything from their administration to the treatment of you, should you dare challenge them, is met with an aggressive response. Clearly under too much pressure to keep the money coming in and once they have yours you are no longer of interest. The joiners who work for them are under such a lot of pressure to complete in a couple of weeks. You begin to notice all the snags and things wrong but don't expect them to entertain you and arrange to come and see your findings. There will be no follow up once your final payent is made as you have served your purpose.
This is an honest review which they will not like however I would like other people to be aware and do your homework before committing. If you do go with them be sensible as a friend of mine was so unimpressed with the way they were disorganised and spoke to him they pulled out. I only wish I had now.

Asbestos Garage Removal- During this difficult COVID time the Outdoor Building Group kept us fully informed of progress. When they came to do the work they worked quickly and professionally even through the terrible weather. They removed the asbestos garage and cleaned the site of all debris, I would fully recommend them, very friendly, reliable at a great price.

Very quick at making a sale but they don’t want to take responsibility for unresolved issues. I had to step in to try and fix an issue my 70 year old grandmother had with drainage following a driveway and garage installation. Anytime it rained, water would run into the garage which damaged the interior walls and also gathered at the front door step due to lack of or insufficient drainage. Although having to deal with OBG for a year before COVID-19 I was understanding of the situation and gave them time to respond. However, although they are now fully back up and running they are ignoring all emails and forms of communication. Please don’t be fooled into thinking this is a professional company as they want a quick sale and job and to move on. They will not rectify outstanding issues or concerns.

They have been good at providing an idea of how much a build might cost. I haven't actually used them for any services as yet.
