Very disappointing experience with Outside Sports.
I ordered a pair of Hestra Fall Line Mittens in a specific size and colour because the website clearly showed “1 in stock.” I completed the purchase on that basis, received the order confirmation, and reasonably believed I had secured the last available pair.
The order was then cancelled because, despite what their website showed, they did not actually have the item in stock.
For a specialist online retailer, accurate inventory is fundamental. Showing a hard-to-find clearance item as “1 in stock”, allowing a customer to purchase it, and then cancelling the order because the stock does not exist is extremely frustrating. I had stopped searching elsewhere because I believed the order was confirmed, potentially costing me the opportunity to buy the item from another retailer.
If an item is advertised as “1 in stock”, customers should be able to rely on that information.
Based on my experience, I would be very hesitant to trust the stock availability shown on the Outside Sports website again. One star. Do not shop here.
