I’ve been with ovatu for about 10yrs…

I’ve been with ovatu for about 10yrs and never had a problem but now I’m forced to switch to the new update and I hate it, it’s not clear enough when I’m trying to find my way around like the old app was. It looks less appealing and it’s more expensive. I am considering changing provider unfortunately

Thank you for your feedback, and for being with Ovatu for so long.

Reviewing your comments and our emails it looks like your review was submitted before you'd installed the mobile app. And that the main issue is finding your way around the Next apps. Now you have the mobile app installed and have had time to use the web app too, hopefully you're getting to know them now.

Ovatu Next uses the same underlying logic as Classic, so the core workflows are familiar. That said, some things have been intentionally reorganised to improve speed, clarity, and day-to-day usability, based on modern UX best practices and customer feedback.

It’s very normal for a new system to feel unfamiliar at first simply because things aren’t where they were in the old system. What we consistently hear from customers is that once they’ve had a short adjustment period, they find Next is faster, easier to navigate, and more efficient than Classic.

I am being forced into a new pricing…

I am being forced into a new pricing structure that is quadruple what I am currently paying per month and there are also now no free sms text reminders. I am currently paying £30 per month but with the new pricing structure it will now be nearly £60 per month for same service and the sms reminders on top will cost around £60 so this will total to over £120 per month moving forward. Was it worth it before I could argue yes. Is it worth the extremely high new price. Absolutely not. I am changing to another booking system that offers the same as they do with free email and sms reminders for just £10 a month. Bye Ovatu you got to greedy!!!

We weren't able to find an account in your name, so couldn't check your account specifically.

We can confirm though that your pricing estimates of SMS costs is not likely to be accurate. For example if your business sends 20 SMS reminders a day, the SMS cost would be £28 pm. All emails are free. You'll also receive a 30% discount for the first 6 months when you upgrade. Regarding the plan and subscription fee change, we completely understand that for some accounts the price change feels significant.

Ovatu Next is not an apples-for-apples replacement for the old Classic system you've enjoyed so far, it’s a new product with substantially improved usability, performance, and features. That said, we acknowledge that the change can take some getting used to.

To help with the transition, all Classic accounts moving to the Next system receive a 30% discount for 6 months when upgrading.

We’ve also worked hard to keep Next pricing simple and transparent:
• Just two costs: your subscription plan and SMS usage
• No hidden fees, no add-ons, no surprises

We’re also proud that we never increased pricing for existing Classic customers, even over many years. Had pricing increased gradually (as is common with other platforms), this change would have been far less noticeable. We believe holding prices steady for so long has been a better outcome overall.

If cost is a concern, the Neat plan may be a good option. It includes the core functionality at a lower price, while the Loaded plan includes everything. You can compare both plans on our Pricing page: https://ovatu.com/pricing

5 stars all the way!

OMG I do not know how anyone could say anything other than 5 stars. This booking system does so much and a little daunting sometimes but the customer service and back up staff are always on hand to answer any questions you can’t find the answers to and take you through every step until sorted. I was previously with another booking system and boy am I glad I swooped. Thank you so much to the team at Ovatu 5 stars all the way from me.

The system is glitchy

The system is glitchy. I suspect this booking system is better for mobile therapists rather than businesses with more than 1 therapist. There are a lot of buttons to press to get to booking your client. You can only skip weeks ahead to rebook when you're in the clients booking, so you have to come out to go to the day on the schedule, not ideal when you're trying not to double book a treatment room(e.g we have one laser room)
There isn't a straightforward way to take deposits and treatment course set up is very very long winded and complicated. Sometimes when you add a treatment to a client's booking it disappears once you save and close so we have had clients arrive expecting more than one treatment and it's not in the diary. We have learned from this now so we double check and add it in again. It's quite irritating.

**Update, I originally gave 3 stars but have changed to 4 stars as Ovatu reached out and made a change. The customer service here has to be commended with an extra star. If Ovatu could make a main schedule calendar jump (1 week, 2 weeks, 3, weeks) without having to go into the clients account that would really help too. Saves us accidentally over booking without having to keep switching screens back and forth.
The treatment course set up (passes) is long winded when you have so many courses but once its set up its good. If clients are booking treatment courses/passes (more than 1) you have to book each pass separately. Overall, we are now used to the amount of button pressing- just about, but honestly we do dread when new therapists start as it can still be quite complicated.

I run a small Clinic from home

I run a small Clinic from home and did the free months trial with Ovatu. I’m so impressed with their system, it’s easy to use (I’m a bit of a technology dinasour). It’s really helped in terms of saving time (I used to be back & forth with clients discussing potential appointment dates/times), it sends out reminders before the appointments. Any queries I’ve had the team have answered so quickly. I couldn’t be happier and I’ve signed up with them. It’s also reasonably priced which is great. Thank you 🙏

Best Diary Software Ever. Great Customer Support!

I’ve used Ovatu for years and can honestly say, it’s nothing short of AMAZING! It has made running my business simpler and less stressful. Whenever I’ve had any issues with the software (there really hasn’t been many), the staff have been great at resolving queries and offering support. You wont find a better diary management system!
