We purchased the OWELD Oxyhydrogen Brazer Model 20000HD expecting a reliable industrial tool. What we got was a nightmare.
During a routine maintenance procedure, my coworker was splashed with chemicals from the machine and suffered a severe chemical burn. He spent four days in the hospital, underwent emergency surgery and skin grafts, and was out of work for six weeks. His summer plans were ruined—he couldn’t even enjoy the lake with his family because doctors warned that a single drop of water could lead to infection and possible amputation.
When we reached out to OWELD for help, we were met with silence and indifference. No support, no investigation, no accountability. Just pursed lips and a refusal to assist.
That same machine has now sat untouched in our facility for over a year. No one dares go near it. It’s a hazard, not a tool.
Bottom line: If you value your team’s safety and expect even the bare minimum of customer support, do not buy this machine. OWELD has shown a complete disregard for safety and responsibility.
