Don't be fooled by Oyemwen claiming she's a custom clothing designer—she's a liar. She buys her stuff from China, rips off the tags, slaps on her own, and calls it custom. I even asked her straight up if she buys parts of outfits and adds to them, and she flat-out lied saying everything was her own custom creation. The jacket I bought for $495? It's just a very cheap jacket that she threw some tulle on. The stitching is so bad that it looks like something a middle schooler might do in their first sewing class. She didn't even ask for my measurements, so of course, the jacket is way too big. She didn’t even have the decency to iron it. It still had the creases from the original packaging it was in.

And the skirt I paid $200 for was literally just the bottom half of the sequin party dress she sells. She cut the dress in half and sewed a waist in it; poorly. It fits huge on me, which I should have guessed since she never bothered to ask for my waist size. She asked where I wanted the slit, but maintained the high slit of the original Chinese dress, and made no effort to come close to what I asked for. What's worse is she sent me a red skirt when I specifically asked for the mermaid color. Whenever I asked for photos of the process, she came up with excuses about why she couldn’t send any, or she completely ignored me, which she does most days. Now I know why—because there is no "process" to speak of.

Despite her constant posts on Instagram, she will completely ignore messages to her on Instagram, except for one here and there.

You should definitely believe all the bad reviews on this site. She will take your money, ignore you, send you some cheap materials, and take months to do it. She’s a total fraud and should never earn another dollar with this scam.

Absolutely terrible experience. She sent horrible ill fitted pieces that she said were custom that were not even the color I asked for. I gave her the opportunity to give me a partial refund, she refused, so I went through the bank. I missed the letter they sent about my claim that she sent in evidence that the transaction was valid, but she did not send any of the communication where I told her what I wanted and then told her that what she sent was clearly not what I had asked for. I am beyond angry because I got no use out of what she sent me and I paid almost $500. She knows she did not deserve that amount of money for the raggedy garbage that she sent to me.

I really wish I would have read through Trustpilot, BBB, and other sites concerning this business.

To make a long story short, I ordered a custom jumpsuit in July 2023. The website indicated that all orders are started soon after ordering and could take 14-28 days for processing. I was fine with that and was even willing to wait 60 days.

At the end of September 2023, I emailed the business and the response was short and made me feel as if my order had been forgotten. Needless to say, at the beginning of November, I contacted the shop again via email to cancel the order since it had obviously not been made yet. The shop refused, so I contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB). At that time, I noticed the shop was rated an "F" and there were numerous complaints against the shop. UGH!!

After telling so many untruths in their responses to the BBB and 6 additional weeks, I received one part of my outfit in December and main part arrived January 10, 2024 (won't get into condition of package because perhaps the carrier damaged the package, but I have my doubts). The main part was the wrong color.

I don't know if I am more upset about the lengthy wait and wrong jumpsuit or the fact that the shop actually started off unresponsive and then turned to lying in the responses to the BBB. Anyhow, I do plan to take them to small claims court on principle alone.

Horrible!!! Don't do it! The material is cheap. It's poorly constructed. They refuse to accept responsibility for their craftsmanship. Only willing to give $495 of store credit. I want my cash refund !! Unfair practices!

I have no words to express how profoundly unsightly the dress appeared when the package arrive at the bride. The dress had perceptible errors from the moment it was taken out of the package. There were inelegant gaps in between the layering, a horrendous and inconsistent patchwork that caused the material to bunch together, improperly installed pearl embellishments found nowhere on the exterior, and a revealing underskirt that did not conceal any intimate areas.

Overall, the dress was conflicting with what the seller advertised.

Furthermore, I find this site and the seller to be extremely suspicious. There are no chances of a refund if the consumer is unhappy with their purchase and the buyer is left with the option of a tedious exchange. There are no negative reviews on the official site, however, poor feedback can be found all over Trustpilot some of which cited what I have stated above.

This seller only seems to honor those who are deemed as significant individuals in her eyes and disregards other customers and their values. How utterly selfish and belittling of her.

If I could give 0 stars I would, this was a waste of my money they sent some garbage and it looked nothing like the picture, the color was different the size was completely off. I sent a message to let them know how I was feeling. They were very nonchalant, they have a NO REFUND POLICY!!!! Never order anything from them.

I wish I could give zero stars. I explained to her in detail about what I wanted, and what she sent was completely different from what we discussed. I was supposed to change into the outfit after my wedding, so I was left with nothing to change into. I said I wanted 1/2 sleeves only to my elbow, I was sent a top with full length huge baggy sleeves. I also asked for a white or ivory skirt as this was supposed to be bridal, but I was sent a tan colored skirt. She was dense when I brought all this to her attention and refused to refund me. I went through my bank for a refund. Do not order anything from her, she is a scammer and I think she orders clothes from other sites and jacks the price up and resells the items because I have seen the clothing for much cheaper on another website.

Where do I even begin, I ordered a dress in January for my birthday in February...the dress didn't arrive until almost the end of march because they claim it takes 6-8 weeks to "construct" I didn't open it when it came because I wanted to take it to the cleaners on the weekend. The dress fit but as I took it to the cleaners we discovered a big hole in the back of the dress. Looks like whatever cutting machine they used because it went several layers in. I called and sent pics of the dress and they said they would repair it...this is the trap!! I returned it with my own money and waited several months till end of July to get my dress back. They sent another dress, this time it was a totally different size, I asked for my money back and they claimed it was custom but asked me in the same breath for my measurements. I sent the dress back and told them I just wanted my money back. when I tried to get my money back, the bank said that too much time had gone by. I totally believe that they take a long time to get the items made then send you crap knowing that by then the 90 days will have gone by so you can't get your money back. over $900 down the drain. NEVER AGAIN!!! But we are living in the last days and judgement will fall on them hard. That I know for sure. God don't sleep. I do work with a legal firm though!! :)

Disappointed and disgusted they take your money saying that their stuff is custom made but it’s not my dress came and it was falling apart when I reached out they took forever to reply then she ask me to send it back with no shipping label when I finally pointed out the fact that this is their fault so they should be the one to send a shipping label they receive the dress almost 3 weeks now and I haven’t received my money back.

I have been fighting with this company over a year to get my money back they sent me garbage representing beautiful outfits online. Instead of the beautiful outfits they represented online I receive scraps of material lint loose threads and trash in a bag this is no exaggeration. Literally scraps of fabric. Now they're trying to send me to collections for a remaining balance when I never receive what I ordered. At this point it seems my only recourse is to try and take the company to small claims court.

Do not purchase anything from this company customer service and product will have you beyond disappointed. I’m disappointed I didn’t check the reviews on google prior to ordering I wasted $400 on a custom romper that I wouldn’t wear to a Halloween Party. Don’t do it

When I first saw the “birthday” dress I was so in love. The dress popped up on Instagram and I went on the hunt to find the original designer. I didn’t care what it cost as long as it fit and looked like the picture. I finally found Oyemwen and placed an order right away. I sent in my measurements that she asked for and even extra measurements that she didn’t ask for just to make sure it would fit properly because I am kind of on the short side. She assured me that I would have my dress in time for my event and so I trusted her. The custom “birthday” dress finally arrived and it was sparkling!! When I took it out of the packaging it looked quite big and extremely long. I know sometimes clothing can look that way until you try it on so I proceeded to do that. Once I got the dress on, it DID NOT FIT anywhere. The length was off as well as the dress was too big. I am 99.9 percent sure she didn’t custom make the dress but she purchased it off Loragal for about $44. If I wanted something from China I wouldn’t ordered from them myself but that isn’t what I wanted which is why I paid over $400 for the dress. She is a FRAUD! A SCAMMER!! A CHEAT!!! I will NEVER do business with her again. You certainly can’t fool me twice and I hope your lies catch up to you because karma is not to be played with. I will not stop until she is STOPPED and held accountable for her fraudulent actions!

I don't understand all the bad reviews here. I received my item sooner than expected and exactly what I ordered. It was magnificent and beautifully packaged. I have no social media accounts, so that had no effect on my service. Very very pleased with my purchase.

This lady only cares about catering to influencers/celebrities. If you aren’t one, you aren’t getting your order. I started to suspect that was the case after months of waiting for my dress and them promising it was going to be shipped “next week”. The only reason i was able to receive my dress in time for my maternity photos was because i told her I’d already spoken to an influencer who had ordered a dress from them about the situation. And she proved my theory correct.

Please stay away from this shop! I should’ve known she was sketchy from the beginning when I scheduled and paid for a custom consultation and had to repeatedly reach out to her to get more information. Her communication is terrible. She draws you in with her sweet personality, but she really does not know what she’s doing. The pictures posted on her social media pages and website are very deceiving! I purchased a custom top for my anniversary event and it looks horrible and very cheap. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The quality of the fabric and stitching of garment was AWFUL! I reached out to her to let her know I was very unhappy with it and she basically said “Sorry”. No offer to fix it. No offer to send at least a partial refund. She ruined my outfit for my event. Basically, over $200 down the drain and now I have to spend more money to find something else. I ended up throwing the garment in the trash because it was complete and utter garbage. Spend your money elsewhere or you will be disappointed!

I hate that I didn't read the reviews on this company first! They are FRAUDS!! I purchased the high slit skirt for my wedding... it came looking NOTHING like the pictures on her site. The shirts material was cheap, it didn't have the high split, color was off. It was horrible!
I did some digging and found the $180 skirt on Amazon for $40. It came in and looks EXACTLY like the skirt they sent! Same tag and everything.
I took pictures and made a PayPal dispute. This seller is so dishonest. She LIED and said the skirt was custom made so PayPal denied my claim.
I will be pushing this to the furthest extent.

While I have supported her business in the past, she does NOT stand behind her customers when she is at fault for send them the incorrect color. Her policy states return or store credit but all that "policy" does is rip off the customer when they are NOT at fault. She ruined what would have been a special occasion for me by sending a completely different color than what i asked for/we agreed to to the tune of $600. Terrible business practices.

I asked for a style of dress in a ROYAL BLUE color. She sent me a picture of the sequin color and fabric. It was perfect and I signed off on it. Instead of what I ASKED and PAID for, she sent me the dress in LIGHT TEAL! I was FURIOUS! It's not the color I asked for. She knows what color ROYAL BLUE is because she has it listed as a color for another outfit on her site.

She keeps saying store credit or exchange but I do not wish to do business with a company that can't admit to making a mistake. Instead, she blames the customer and scams them out of their money. I want a refund. This situation warrants that because SHE made the mistake, not me.

To be clear, the style of dress is beautiful which is why I picked it. She sent a completely different color than what I asked and spent my hard earned money for... ($600.00). I attached proof but I know she's going to delete this review.

This lady claims that her dresses are custom made but it’s a complete lie! She is a fraud! I order a 2 piece set and the bottom came ok but the top came in completely wrong. She doesn’t like to give refunds so I’m disputing the order. My top came in to me two different times and was wrong each time. I asked for the refund and she ignored that email. DO NOT purchase anything from her and if you do purchase at your own risk. She needs to be honest and tell the folk that’s ordering that the products are made through a third party and then shipped out. I think her products that are custom made are the ones that she make herself. Going to get my money returned because she is a lair. The things people do for money is a shame! The second time she resent the garment she sent a postal stamp, then claimed she’ll send it out the third time but it’s been almost two weeks and there’s no return stamp so I know for a fact she’s going to not send it out because I truly believe she’s not planning on resending it because she know I want get what was described on the site. Such a sad case, this is exactly why black folk can’t support their own people because of the scamming and fraudulent activities that take place with them!

I started supporting this business 3 years ago. I ordered a customer piece this year that was made incorrectly both times. I was not giving the opportunity to get a refund or any discount for all my inconvenience. Don’t not shop with this company. Unless you are a celebrity your items will be made poorly.

My garment was not shipped, I paid for expedited shipping and all and still haven’t received it in over a month. They also have been ignoring my dms on getting a refund for my order. I started to comment about how the company really is under their posts, but they blocked me within seconds. Makes me wonder how many other comments are hidden because they blocked the person’s account. This is a scam, do not spend your money here. It’s not guaranteed.
