Dear Pabla + Pabla Solicitors,

I am writing to raise a formal complaint about the lack of progress with my housing disrepair case and, in particular, the very slow communication I have received from your firm.

I understand that these cases can take time and that some delays may be outside of your control. However, I have now been waiting for my case to move forward and I am becoming increasingly frustrated by the lack of updates. I often have to wait a long time for a response, and I am left unsure about what is actually happening with my case.

I do not feel that I am being kept properly informed about the work being carried out on my behalf. I would expect my solicitors to keep me updated and to deal with my case within a reasonable timeframe.

I would also point out that the SRA Code of Conduct for Firms, paragraph 4.2, states that the service provided to clients should be competent and delivered in a timely manner. Paragraph 8.6 also requires clients to be kept informed about how their matter is being handled. In addition, paragraph 8.5 requires complaints to be dealt with promptly and fairly.

Please can you now provide me with a clear update on my case, including what has been done so far, what is currently outstanding, why there have been delays, and what the next steps are. I would also like a realistic time frame for when I can expect the case to progress.

I sincerely hope this matter can now be dealt with properly and that my housing disrepair case can be resolved before Christmas 2026. I would appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and a substantive response.
