Only park here if you have time to waste!

This parking structure used to be decent but it has really gone down hill recently. The garage is dirty with trash laying about. It is also overflowing with cars and they only place we could park was on the top floor which has no elevator access. The stairwell is a tripping hazard with sandbags blocking the entrance to the stairs. The shuttle took 45 minutes to pick us up from the airport and when we finally made it back to our car we discovered another car (valeted) parked behind us and blocking us in. Another 15 minute wait for one of the employees to find the keys to the valeted car and come and move it. While trying to exit the garage the gate reader wouldn't scan the bar code of our prepaid paper and we had to track down yet another employee to let us out.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I thought Southbay/105 Parking might’ve improved in 10 years—nope, it’s worse. Two-hour wait at the airport for a van that never came, repeated lies from staff, and calls ignored. Took a $50 Uber instead. Back at the garage, blocked in by another car, gate wouldn’t open, and the attendant had the audacity to say it “normally costs $125 for valet”—valet service? Never existed. ZERO service, endless lies, total chaos. Stay far away.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. SUMMARY: VERY FEW AND VERY LATE SHUTTLES, NO ONE THERE OR ANSWERING PHONES AT NIGHT OR IN THE MORNING TO ASK ABOUT SHUTTLES NOT ARRIVING; NO WAY TO EXIT THE FLYTE LOT (AKA SOUTH BAY) AT NIGHT. MANY OF US STUCK THERE IN OUR CARS FOR A LONG TIME. TOOK ONE HOUR TO GET FROM LOT TO LAX FOR MY FLIGHT AND ONE HOUR TO GET FROM LAX PICKUP POINT TO THE LOT UPON RETURN, AND AMAZINGLY, NO WAY TO EXIT LOT UPON RETURN. For details of the fun, READ ON: I waited almost 40 minutes for a shuttle to arrive at their Flyte Parking site at 2222 East Imperial Hwy at 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday. Their other lot was "full" and I would have had to leave a key with an unknown and not very professional "valet", so was directed to their second lot, just around the block from the first one. No shuttle, no one answering their "24 hour service" phone line; a recording informed me that the line did not have a voice mail feature set up. When the driver finally arrived, the driver, not the passengers, had left two passenger's luggage at the first stop and had to return to retrieve it. I arrived at the airport an hour after having parked in their garage. Good thing I'd left home early! I was also told at the first lot that my QR code wouldn't work at the second garage due to software problems, so hold onto the ticket I pulled from the machine upon entry--otherwise I'd have to pay again. On arrival at Lot #2, I was told that the machine would not recognize either the ticket or the printed confirmation QR code and I'd have to find the on-duty employee (in the 6 story structure, after my midnight return) to be let out. Read on to see how that worked out...
On return to LAX at midnight, 4 other people and I waited 40 minutes for a shuttle. All of us had called the lot's phone number multiple times to hear that, yep, "this number has not set up voice mail" when no one answered our calls. Again, I'd been told that someone was always on duty. Nope. Shuttle came. On arrival at the parking lot, 4 cars were lined up at the exit, unable to open the gate. Frustrated drivers hailed the shuttle driver for help; he said the "other shuttle" was supposed to have the exit card, but that that hadn't happened, and he demonstrated that his card did not work. (Oh my. Now that's a good business strategy--have arriving customers wait another 40 minutes in their cars in the parking lot they really want to leave behind them in every way, for the first shuttle to return, and find that the driver doesn't actually have an exit card. Tents and s'mores, anyone?) He said there was nothing he could do, and drove on. I walked to my car, the line up was gone when I drove to the exit--they'd gotten out!-- but, no surprise, neither my entry ticket nor the printed reservation QR code worked. As always, no one answered the phone number. I blasted my car's horn. No response, the "24 hour service" apparently was on hour 25...After some 15 minutes, another traveler who had arrived in the same shuttle appeared in his pickup truck. He tried 2 of the 3 gates, something worked with the 3rd one and he told me to tail him closely. SUCCESS--we both got out without the gate descending on us! Lots of congratulatory high fives out our car windows, a mere hour after we'd both arrived at the LAX shuttle pickup site! So, it took an hour to complete the "3 minute drive" from the parking lot to LAX for my departure and--they are consistent!--an hour from arrival at their LAX pickup site to exit their lot and head home. And I was lucky-- it might have become an all night, no-portapotty, stay. Good luck--arrive early and bring a tent for your return if you choose to use this business--you've been warned.

1st Time User Properly Impressed

We generally had a very good experience. 1st time user so we had to learn some things. Arrival and departure times are very important. Of course that's required to prepay, but things never go according to plan so their gate could use some updated technology to clear new charges easily. The valets helped us both in and out, but I see smart gates all over LA and their gate is not one. However the valets were very professional and helpful. The shuttle drivers were great too. We'll use again.

We waited over an hour for our shuttle…

We waited over an hour for our shuttle and it passed us by multiple times. We called customer service and they hung up on us multiple times. We had to yell at them for them to get the shuttle to stop for us. The service is utterly ridiculous. The other shuttles stopped at the stop normally but only the 105 did not.

From the get go its a bad experience…

From the get go its a bad experience already because we waited almost an hour to be picked up going to the airport. We almost missed our redeye flight to Chicago. And the bad thing too,we waited for almost 2 hours to be picked up from the airport going to the parking garage.

You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for is an understatement when reviewing this airport parking lot. 105 Parking/South Bay Airport Parking is a perfect way to kill the vibe of a good vacation. As is LAX is usually a horrible experience, but the shuttle service should not add to this. We made it through baggage claim and customs in less than 20 minutes, which is amazing. BUT… we waited for 53 minutes for the shuttle. We called and advised our location as soon as we came out to the pick-up spot. We were told by the dispatcher that the driver was two terminals away and would be less than 10 minutes. About 15 minutes later the driver drove by, never looked our way, and kept driving. Despite four people trying to flag him down, he kept going. The shuttle was not full either, there were only two people on board at the time. So, by now it’s 10:05 PM and we have been calling the dispatcher constantly and all we get told is “he is close he will be there in 10 minutes.” While we waited, we saw every other parking company continuously drive by picking up their customers. My daughter counted over a dozen Parking Spot shuttles drive by in the time we were standing there. We waited another 35 minutes before the shuttle driver showed up. The driver’s attitude was horrible. He was rude and treated our luggage like crap throwing it down to the point that I had to tell him to kick the bags to move them. The driver did the same thing to the next people he picked up and tossed one of their suitcases from outside the shuttle to the baggage rack. So, if you are cool waiting 50-plus minutes and getting your property mistreated, then this is the company for you. Sure they are the cheapest, but there is a reason. The parking garage is a bit dilapidated and the claims of shuttles every 25-30 minutes are lies. Parking garages are a dime a dozen and this one is the worst I have ever used and I use many. They have zero customer service and could honestly care less. Never again and I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Look closely at the reviews, all of the reviews on Cheap Airport Parking and others alike show an ok rating, but the real ones on Yelp and Google tell a different story including a 2 star rating on yelp with 857 reviews (858 after this one).

It was convenient and easy to find

It was convenient and easy to find. Customer service was very helpful when calling before doing the reservation. The only thing that I wasn’t happy with is I got charged $3 more for picking up my vehicle early.

105 Parking is my preferred place to…

105 Parking is my preferred place to securely leave my vehicle for long extended time. It's a garage so my car stays a little cleaner than it would be out in the sun. The place has only one exit and it's closely monitored as well. Plus you can't beat the cost.

No one home.

I arrived at the airport and waited at the designated area for the shuttle bus. After a reasonable time of no shuttle bus coming, I called the shuttle service help desk. The voice mailbox was not set up, I couldn't leave a message, and on one ever picked up the phone. Eventually, the shuttle bus did arrive.

Great service! Very efficient! Pleasant staff! Great buses! Saves a big headache from trying to park at the Greek Theater. Highly recommended!

This is the 2nd time I have used this…

This is the 2nd time I have used this parking, the 1st time it was full a few months ago & the elevator was broken, and this last time my QR code didn't work to enter & after I finally got in it was full again, so they took my keys & parked it,when I got back 8 days later the QR code didn't work again, so the worker had to let me out after 10min. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

You won't get a receipt or any customer service support

I made a reservation online which is pretty easy to make. Unfortunately my plane got delayed and had to pay extra for the time that was not reserved. When I paid with my credit card, the machine did not print out a receipt. When I asked the attendant to help me out or provide me with some kind of proof of payment she ignored me and refused to help me at all. She then walked away and did not comeback until a different attendant came back 20 minutes later. There's no phone number and no one to hold accountable. Since this was a work trip, I need receipts to properly submit my expenses so I had to pay for parking out of my pocket. Don't trust this parking services if you ever have an issue. They won't fix it.

Setting up the parking and parking was…

Setting up the parking and parking was not a problem. Coming back was a fiasco!
First the phone numbers they had provided never answered. After waiting 1/2 an hour, Then called their 844 number who at first was clueless, but then got a sympathetic voice who provided me a number to text. The response was to take the 405 bus. The 405 bus driver said no I was to take the 10r bus for South Bay, that bus came and passed by without stopping. Called and called but still no answers and no other bus! Finally 1.25 hours later another bus. Took back to parking where I was give keys to someone else's vehicle! Then charged another $13.5 when I left for 2.5 hours extra!
