Easy to book online, but the equipment on site was not set up to read the QR code from my phone. Problem was rectified with the help button, but needed to be repeated on leaving.

Unable to scan the barcode on my phone as was the same experience for most others. This led to very long delays entering and especially leaving.

Arrived 3 minutes before the entrance time (6pm) and the barcode would not work. Caused a backup of cars trying to enter. Lots of beeping and pissed off people. Had to use a credit card to get in, then immediately exited and used the barcode to get back in.

Don’t take more than 2 seconds at your car
Pulled into a parking spot (had an appointment downstairs) and immediately got out and grabbed my baby out of her seat. Decided to change her dirty diaper before putting her in her stroller. Security guard swooped over on a golf cart and told me I wasn’t allowed to do so. It was private property (it is the garage for my appointment downstairs) and they don’t allow that. Literally had not even turned my car off yet.
Pay with caution
The parking was convenient but your pay station is confusing. I thought I had paid for my parking but the transaction did not complete. Consequently I received a parking fine. Not cool.

Caution when prepurchasing!
The only redeeming thing I can say is, the guy who was able to get me out of the parking garage is my hero. What went wrong was this: I purchased parking a day in advance for a party in a city 2 hours away. I was working at the time, so I used my pc to make the purchase. Next day, I arrive at the parking garage in the city 2 hours away, and I pull out my confirmation email on my phone so I can get into the garage. The scanner can't read the QR code. It only reads barcodes. I never recieved a barcode, just a QR code. I finally press the button after about a full minute of trying various ways to get the phone to scan so I can enter the garage. The gentleman that came on was lovely. He explained that the scanner couldn't read a qr and he was sorry for the trouble, he was amazingly helpful and very quickly buzzed me in. I parked, left, and went to my event.
Fast forward 4 hours, I'm at the exit gate, trying to leave the parking garage. Once again, I have to scan my phone and the phone won't scan. This time, there is another car behind me. I quickly press the button in order to exit, but also to not keep the car behind me from getting held up. The person who comes on first asks me for my full reservation number and full name. Ok, fine. He then asks where I purchased my parking. I said parking.com. He asked me which app. I explained it wasn't an app, it was just a website and I had an email with a QR code. He asked me to read the entire reservation number again. I asked why, I had already paid the day before, I just needed the gate open. He said he could not open it without me first re-reading the number. I did. Then he wanted my full name again. Ok. Keep in mind, all of this is through a loudspeaker in a parking garage with another car behind me. There is zero privacy. Then he asks my phone number and home address. I say, no, you have my name, reservation number, and can see that I've paid. Please let me leave. I do not feel safe shouting all my personal details through a loudspeaker. He says this is company policy to ask this. I said, when we arrived at the garage, I only needed to provide the last 4 digits of my confirmation code and I got in. He then disconnects. He hung up on me. I'm still in the garage, gate closed, car behind me. I realize I've been hung up on, and I'm trapped. I press the button again to get connected to a human, and thankfully the gentleman from my arrival hops on and says, wait, is this the woman from ealier, with the qr code? I said, yes! The guy before you hung up on me! He was horrified, and understood that legally, holding me without exit is unacceptable and illegal. He profusely apologized on behalf of the previous person, said that is NOT how that should be handled, said he would be filing a complaint about it, and immediately opened the gate.
I assume there is a parking.com app and maybe it's a better option than buying online. But as a point of fact, holding someone against their will is illegal. By not letting someone out of a barricaded location is illegal. That is all. If the amazing gentleman who helped me had not answered the 2nd time, my next call would have been to 911 to get us out and not cause a safety concern for the other vehicles as well.

I had a terrible experience
I had a terrible experience. I could not scan my QR code so I used the call button for assistance. That person was really nice and was able to lift the gate remotely after I gave her the last 4 digits of number under the QR code.
When I went to leave I had the same problem and then code would not scan. That person however was saying I would have to pay the rate again($71) and would have to request a refund.
It was absolutely ludicrous. Finally after a few minutes of pleading my case while simultaneously attempting to scan qr code the gate opened. Would not recommend

Bad experience all the way around.
Tried to use the app to pre buy parking but the app kept crashing. Apparently a common issue. This should have been my first clue what I was getting into. Oh well, I bought the parking off the website. Went to the garage. Scanner would scan the QR code. Pressed the button for help. Only got a voice on the other end of the speaker saying if it doesn't scan you'd have to use a credit card and they can't look it up by the order number and the can't come out to help with the issue. When I tried to contact Parking.com on their website for a refund it kept saying it wouldn't send and to try again. Not a service I will use again if I can help it.

Technology deficient
The QR reader the garage uses does not function well. We tried both a hard copy printout and a download on our phone. We could not get in without assistance. We got out after several efforts retrying. We felt badly for the line of cars stuck behind us but the situation was beyond our control.

The scanner was difficult to line up with the printed page/reservation. Possibly put a dotted line around an are to fold the printout to make it easier/faster

Update to the below: Once I informed parking.com about the issue with the QR reader, they responded with an apology and have initiated a refund to my credit card. Kudos for the customer service! The QR code would not scan at the parking garage despite numerous attempts. I ended up having to use my debit card to pay for parking (at $2 more than I originally paid), so I paid twice for parking. It was very frustrating.

The scanner wouldn't read the QR code and traffic started backing up behind me so I had to resort to inserting my credit card and paying again. I tried calling to get a refund and was told they couldn't help me. Untried to be a good person and not hold up the line and I ended up paying twice.
