They teached me that I don't need cashback
tl;dr: feel free to use it if you don't need sepa transfers and support.
Cashback is issued without problems and even round up, so it's more fair than declared! Top ups using card work instantly, though limited 300 € per day so I have to do it multiple times a month.
But SEPA top ups are a disaster – even Instant transfers don't come instant, it noticeable time. Once after days of waiting I was asked to answer dumb questions like who is the transfer from (it's me), how it's related to me (it's me!), and what's the purpose of the transfer (it's a top up of my account using my own money!) – after answering that email and waiting a couple of more days, the money arrived. But the worst moment was when SEPA Instant transfer arrived after a couple of months. During the waiting, I used all means to contact: in the app, per email (multiple addresses), in the chat bot (though it clearly indicated that I was asking what it couldn't assist with, without giving another communication channel). I never received a reply, it was quite scary.
Finally money arrived (probably after I written emails), but I already understood that 1% of cashback doesn't worth such troubles. I'm now trying to reduce the number of banks I have, to avoid seeking for best deals and just stick to the best service, and live happily.
On the side note, I see a lot of business in Munich started to use SumUp terminals recently, I hope it doesn't become a monopoly.
