Best Buy uses fraudulent company for their MarketPlace sales

I bought this computer online at Best Buy or so I thought. I received it on 03/25/2026. It was my first laptop and I did not know that Windows 11 Pro was not installed until after I had used One Drive to load my documents and personal information. I went to Best Buy store to see what was wrong; they would not help and stated I needed to go home and make an appointment. When I contacted the Best Buy help desk the information they gave was that I had bought a computer from Best Buy Market Place. That was news to me. Best Buy states they bear no responsibility for this computer. Microsoft installed Windows and I am asking for return of that money ($199). Today I unplugged the computer to test the battery and it went down to 1/4 full after two hours. I did not play videos or music. This company is fraudulent. Please do not buy from them.

Having an abysmal time trying to…

Having an abysmal time trying to resolve installation issue on a “new” laptop received from PC Online through Best Buy. It is clear that the laptop is refurbished, and the Windows 11 Pro software I was informed at time of purchase was included in the pricing has an invalid Product Key. I am receiving a error message that the version of the software is invalid and therefore, unauthorized.

I have written emails no less than three times, have contacted Microsoft who tried and alternate Product Key, and have written to the corporate office. My next step is to contact a news outlet to expose what I feel is a dishonest representation to customers of both products and service. I, too, am going through the Best Buy corporate office for resolution. I plan to return the laptop and purchase a legitimate product.

PCOnline contacted me through Best Buy once, but I have not heard from them again. This is not yet resolved, but I will not let this issue go. It is abhorrent to treat customers ok this way.

Modified laptop labeled as new. Crooks!

They sent a laptop labeled as new with 32G of RAM (Intel). It supposedly had a factory warranty. They had modified the laptop with 2 4G Samsung, which voided the warranty. It never worked correctly. They would not respond at all. Luckily I purchased it from Amazon and they indemnified me. Do not buy from these unscrupulous sellers.

I really hope Amazon bans this seller

I really hope Amazon bans this seller. Absolutely no help whatsoever. My $800 laptop never made it to me and they're passing blame. I don't understand why they wouldn't have signature confirmation on delivery for a product worth over $300. This company needs to be shut down. Absolutely no customer service and unprofessional.

PCOnline does not respond at all

PCOnline does not respond at all. I have had a hardware failure with my laptop. I have tried calling, emailing, and messaging through Amazon for 10 days now and zero response. I can't believe Amazon allows them to still sell their products on the Amazon platform. I guess as long as Amazon and PCOnline make money it does not matter that they screw over their customers.

Shady business practices

This company sold me a defective laptop through Amazon. When I contacted customer service I was told a replacement laptop would be sent.I got a notice from UPS of a delivery date. UPS did not deliver a replacement but rather a threatening letter accusing me of fraud and a promise to interfere with my Amazon account.Amazon refunded me yet they continue to try to charge my CC. It is a scam operation.

sent 1 out of the three computers we purchased from them back because it wouldn't power on out of the box. After they gave me back the taxes for the computer they tried to say the cost of the PC was a restock fee.......Now they say we sent them the wrong PC even though we bought it from Amazon and received the label from this vendor. SHADY SHADY SHADY. I buy over 300 PCs a year for my clients and this is the first time I have had to deal with this kind of bad customer service.

Laptop scam

I bought a 17.3" HP laptop from PC Online July 8, 2025. I received it quickly and within a week the screen went dead. PC Online offered several ineffective things to try, ultimately ending up in my returning it for repair. They got it repackaged it, and sent it back to me still not working. During this time the Amazon non-negotiable policy on 30 day returns for refund passed. PC Online doesn't answer phone messages nor emails timely, so I'm without a laptop and out the payment I made. The folks at PC Online are courteous and totally ineffective at problem solving. Next step, contact FTC.

Untrustworthy

I am sick and tired of you Amazon sellers promising a product by a specific date, and then contacting the buyer on the day of delivery to tell them it will be 3 days late. I purchased a laptop from you that was supposed to be delivered yesterday and now I won't receive it until Thursday! It was needed for an event tomorrow. People make decisions about the products they buy based on how soon they can get them. When you lie about the date of delivery, that creates a problem. You should know exactly how many products you have in stock and whether or not you can meet the demand. Do you think this helps build consumer trust in your company? It doesn't! I will never purchase from you again!

Purchased a HP laptop via Amazon

Purchased a HP laptop via Amazon. Description does not match what is advertised and what I received. Also the power cord is the wrong wattage according to the HP corporation; the power cord should be 65W instead it came with a 45W. They do not stand behind what they're selling. They are destroying the reputation of a brand name.

BUYER BEWARE!!

I purchased a computer from them via Amazon for my son. After just 3 months, the computer will not hold a charge. I have tried NUMEROUS times to get this matter resolved only to be told to turn off the computer and check the security settings. After all their instructions were followed, still had the same issue. This was purchased for work and it's USELESS!
I have contacted them and they have gone SILENT. I have even requested resolution from Amazon and they too dropped the ball. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I have a feeling these are not new systems but refurbished ones! I don't understand how companies can stay in business while scamming their customers!

The seller lied about the products

The seller lied about the products. They listed them as new but the products were previously shipped to the United Arab Emirates. Because of that, the warranty is void. One of the computers is defective and needs servicing. I let Amazon know about this (PC Online US sells through Amazon), and they won't do anything. The seller WILL NOT return any communications. I WOULD SUGGEST NOT PURCHASING ANY COMPUTERS FROM ANY VENDORS ON AMAZON, and I definitely would not purchase anything from PC Online US.

Stunning Rapidity

Ordered an Acer laptop via Amazon, sold by PCOlineUS on the 12th, received it on the 15th!
Sadly, got a scuffed laptop that had quite a few issues and on the 15th, started the return for refund because there was no offer to replace and the laptop was useless. (May well have been a previous return that was re-shipped.)
Shipped it back on the 17th (because of the week-end) and it was delivered on the 19th.
On the 21st, FULL refund posted to the card I used to make the purchase.
The only thing I was disappointed in is their "Customer Service" isn't... Just a machine that says the usual: "busy with other customers", "leave a message", &c.
But that speed from order to refund just left me breathless with gratitude.

BUYER BEWARE!! Just retired and purchased a Hewlett Packard Envy 17 laptop from this completely non-responsive vendor.
For the first several months, I only used my laptop to check my email, and then I loaded my Charles Schwab stock trading software on to the laptop.
Now the laptop will not stay online via Wifi.
I contacted Hewlett Packard and the tech attempted to download the latest drivers on my laptop in order to get it to run stable online.
After about an hour, the technician for Hewlett Packard told me that they would no longer support my lap or honor my warranty because then laptop was after market modified.
Now my computer does not work at all after the Hewlett Packard customer support tech bailed on my support request.
I then proceeded to contact p c online for a month straight with at least 15 phone call messages and 10 emails that had never been responded to.
Lucky for me. Amazon made an exception to the rule with regards to returning an item within 3 months because I had discovered the defect about after 4 months - one month before I attempted to return it and then vendor was completely non-reponsive.
The reason I bought the unit was that it had 64 meg RAM, and it was the least expensive laptop which had 64 meg RAM.
According to the Hewlett Packard technician and as shown on there website, the HP Envy 17 comes with a maximum of 32 meg RAM.
When looking at the system detail page on the laptop it indicates the unit has 64 meg RAM!

I would research what the standard specifications are on the specific manufacturers website (to verify that it has not been aftermarket modified) before purchasing anything from this vendor.

I personally would avoid buying anything from this vendor if you expect customer service afterwards. THEY WERE COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE TO THE AMAZON COMMUNICATION METHOD, 15 EMAILS AND 10 PHONE CALLS!

I may be wrong but I think that they added the additional 32 meg RAM in order to sell the product easier because most people would look and say that that's a better deal with 64 meg of ram for the same Envy 17 laptop. It probably cost them twenty five dollars for the RAM and they could sell the unit for a hundred fifty or two hundred more.

Stay away from PC online US at all costs and buy your computers direct from the manufacturer to avoid any of their shenanigans!!

I would like to tell PC Online that I do not take kindly to being taken advantage of and then not receiving any call backs or emails when I was inquiring about resolving the issue!!

UPDATE: Amazon tried to contact the vendor and they were non-responsive as well. Amazon finally issued a refund and charged back to PC Online
