Mike Fishpen Personal Chef Services Avis 

A couple of days in the Cotswolds for 8 people with a Personal Chef coming in to cook on one night seemed like a great auction item to win at a charity day we attended.

Something we had not done before but what an absolute pleasure it was, especially having Mike Fishpen come in as our personal chef. From beginning to end he was a joy to deal with. Excellent level of communication to agree our choice of menu, and give great advice on other things which would make the occasion a resounding success. We also employed a waitress, who was also absolutely brilliant, and who enhanced our evening.

They arrived promptly, worked perfectly as a team and everything ran like clockwork, just as we had hoped. Mikes experience as a personal chef shone through, not just his expertise and professionalism in cooking wonderful food (which was beautifully presented) but also his personality and interaction in making 8 people very very happy.

What a great evening we had, and we recommend Mike and hope we will have future opportunities to use his services.

The buffet we ordered for 20 from Mike Fishpen was top notch, … we could not fault it, and it was delivered with some style.The fillet of beef, and salmon Teriyaki were the best we have tasted in ages, and accompanying salads very flavoursome with unusual combinations.I have so hesitation in recommending Mike and his team.

We called on Mike to cater for us for a family milestone birthday! A fabulous BBQ was served, everyone enjoyed and the food was top quality and plentiful. I have no hesitation to recommend Mike to anyone looking for a special meal for an occasion.

Mike catered a celebration dinner for 17 for us in a rented house in. Cheltenham. From beginning to end, the whole process of booking, choosing the menu and final arrangements went smoothly and easily.
The meal was absolutely delicious, and the two waitresses that he organised on our behalf were charming and professional. I would strongly recommend Mike and would not hesitate to have him cater for me again

Mike cooked a delicious dinner for 10 for a family birthday celebration. Delicious 3 course meal with very tasty canapes served before hand. Everything very punctually served and organised and kitchen area left spick and span. Thanks also to friendly assistant:waitress.

We used Mike last week for a corporate function and were beyond pleased! Mike was friendly and easy to deal with right from the very start of communications, very prompt in coming back to me and very accommodating to our needs. On the day itself we just couldn't fault anything, both Mike and Anya the waitress were so professional and an absolute pleasure and the food was incredible, all to a very high standard that the whole team raved about. The canapes and homemade sourdough were a particular hit! I would whole heartedly recommend Mike, so much so that I am looking at re-booking him for a none work related function. Mike recently catered for a family celebratory dinner. The meal itself was exquisite and the service was excellent. Every dish was pure perfection. Mike arrived promptly and the kitchen was left spotless. We also had Marta who set the table and served all the dishes. She was both friendly and professional. I would thoroughly recommend Mike.

Amazing meal with generous portions and cooked to perfection. We could not have asked for more! Mike was professional from start to finish. The communication, planning and delivery excellent.
Our waitress did a marvellous job too and left the kitchen clean and tidy which added to the whole experience.

Mike provided us with an excellent family meal for my husband’s 60th Birthday while we were away in the Cotswolds . We had three delicious courses and the filet steak was the best we’ve ever tasted and cooked to perfection. Mike was excellent at communicating prior to the event and nothing was too much trouble, the waitress was excellent to ( so sorry I’ve forgotten your name ) worth every penny we didn’t have to do anything , very relaxing and enjoyable evening.

Thank you to Mike for his delicious food and to the waitress, Lydia. Mike is a consummate professional. Excellent communication about all aspects of the evening. The menu was perfect for my 60th birthday. All my guests who had dietary requirements were catered for. A meal to remember!

Superb food, excellently presented and friendly efficient service from menu selection & booking to dining. The kitchen was left spotless, allowing us to enjoy the rest of our evening with no tidying up! What’s not to like ❤️

Mike was fantastic for our dinner party of 10, a mix of carnivores, vegetarians and pescatarians. Make sure you ask for his canapes, in a meal that was great from start to finish they were a particular highlight!

We're looking forward to the next occasion we can find to book Mike again!

What can I say other than Mike’s food, service and attention to detail was outstanding. From when he arrived with Marta (waitress) everything was so smooth and effortless and then he delivered the most unbelievable food (6 courses) for my wife’s 50th birthday celebrations for 9 of us. 5*****

Not only did Mike save our weekend when our accommodation was cancelled last minute, he also cooked us a fabulous 3 course meal for my dad's 70th birthday. Mike and the waitresses were very professional, laid the table and organised the drinks. Mike explained each course to us - the portions were good size and ingredients of high quality. It was such a great experience for a special occasion.
