After reading 'Same Day Dispatch before 4PM Monday - Friday' and placing an order on Monday 24th May before 4pm I was disappointed to get an email on Friday 28th May telling me 'We can confirm your order has been Manufactured and Dispatched by Manufacturing Station 2'. It's now June 2nd and I still haven't got the plates

Cannot fault this company, did have my reservations ,based offshore and seemingly no way of contacting them by phone if there were issues... However the image of the plate I wanted replicated in my mind what I wanted - other sites made number look odd - so paid my money and crossed fingers ! Communication was absolutely perfect ,the plates arrived by DPD and their communication was as ever superb and the plates are as per website and excellent. 10 out of 10

My son ordered vintage plates for our 1967 BMW. He ordered plates with no borders. The image on our invoice is nothing like the plates that have arrived. We have emailed the company but have had no reply. I would not recommend this company

The service from platesforcars was excellent, a minor issue with fixing kits was quickly and efficiently resolved but the quality of the product is superb!

Shocking! Absolute thieves. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They made up plates with purple border (I asked for blue) They said they couldn’t do blue (even though it’s offered) I complained, they told me to send plates back (at my cost!!!) and they would give a refund.
After a month they still haven’t refunded me. They are thieves. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Please, please, please!! don't waste your time or money with this company. If you have made a mistake designing your number plates with their rubbish designer software and tried to amend them by sendind them a email don't bother because they "WON'T REPLY"
They don't supply a phone number either so you cannot call them. One of the worst company I have ever dealt with!! They sent the plates anyway, knowing that they were illegal! And losing £44.88. Just look at their feedback (that's what I should of done in the first place) they are mostly negative!! No customer service at all!
A disgraceful way to treat their customers!! Appalling behavior they are just a bunch of thieves and crooks with very high prices to boot!!

I am so very happy with my new plates, they look absolutely amazing on my car. The design process was so easy with lots of personalised options to choose from, the plates are of a very good quality and the delivery was very, very swift. Thanks for providing such a great service :)

Money grabbers
AVOID - choose one of the other decent suppliers.

Placed order and within minutes I decided to cancel as delivery date was too long. The email to cancel was ignored, there is no phone number to contact them to cancel order.
I then received email to say they had been made and despatched which was odd as delivery was quoted as 5 - 7 days and I sent cancel order request within minutes of placing order.

Disappointed we ordered special shaped plates 2 for a Chrysler PT Cruiser that has a special shaped rear number plate, normal oblong front plate both with UK legal raised Gel letters/numbers,
Plates arrived on the end date specified
but the cardboard package had been opened at one end and to all intents and purpose the plates had been removed and then shoved back in the packaging without a thought of damage,
this then left the front plates raised letters covered in scuffs and scratches with no protective coat to stop the raised letters rubbing against the cardboard, various E mails to PFC resulted in them suggesting using WD40 to remove the marks, unsure of the adhesive used to attach the letters/numbers I decided not to do this but to use a professional wax car polish this has worked about 80% but I am still not completely happy,
Better packaging would have solved this problem.
Professionally the company should have offered to replace the front damaged number plate, instead they have an unhappy customer who will not be recommending them in the future

Arrived damaged, refused to replace despite providing extensive evidence. ‘Not covered by the warranty’ apparently. I can’t comprehend how a crack across the corner of both plates, new out of the box, is a warranty issue, but hey ho. 1 Star firm.
They don’t even provide a name or phone number on their e-mails, so they’re obviously used to getting grief for their poor customer service.
I doubt they’ll even bother to reply to this review, they literally do not care.

First set I ordered came snapped in half after a lot of messing around I got new ones sorted, after having the new ones on there is a warranty issue because one of the letters is peeling off and the backing is coming off. These have never been drilled or anything like that so should be in top condition. I have had many back and forth emails asking questions then passing me to someone else and then being asked the same questions again. They have no stopped responding all together after care is disgusting! I will never use them again!

Looks like I'm not the only one that has been supplied with illegal plates and no hope for refund. There must be something that can be done?

After seeing plenty of bad reviews for ‘plates for cars’ I was quite worried after I had ordered the plates. However, when they arrived, I was very pleased with the quality of the plates. Everything on the plates were correct and accurate and the delivery was on time. I would definitely recommend this company.

Fantastic company! I emailed them on Easter Sunday asking if I could have two badges on my new plates. They replied the same day telling me how to provide the images. I struggled and finished up sending the images separately. I then received another email with an image of the plates. My plates were dispatched on Easter Monday and received today, Thursday. Great.

Avoid this company at all costs, I ordered a UK Legal plate 12 months ago which all looked great but when the car went for its first MOT it failed on illegal spacing.
I have emailed the company and received the usual 24 to 48hrs we will get back to you and I'm still waiting for a reply.
Very poor customer service and no direct phone line.

I ordered a set of number plates and designed them with a logo and border. The design software prompted me to put a space in the registration mark (which I had forgotten to do) to ensure the plate would pass the MOT check. The only downside was the high delivery charge which only became apparent after the design work was done. I was a bit dubious as I read a lot of negative reviews after I had ordered, however the quality of the number plates and the delivery by DPD was first class and could not be faulted. The plastic is thick acrylic as expected rather than cheaper thinner materials.

Ok I made the mistake of buying from plates for cars before I read the reviews.
I was very worried when I see some bad comments, but my experience was brilliant.
I made a few mistakes with my plates and needed a few adjustments ect . I sent an email to them and they promptly replied explaining they had already changed my mistakes. They adjusted everything perfectly for me and then sent another email saying it had been posted . It arrived very quickly considering I went for the cheapest one .. the plates are fantastic.

have ordered several times with them and have always got good quality plates delivered within the stated timeframe. I wanted to give them a thumbs up on Trustpilot but couldn't believe the reviews I have been reading. I have always got exactly what I ordered and a very straight forward ordering system.

Please stay away from this company. The communication is extremely slow they are cheaters and time wasters. I wanted my own badge on the place it took more than 10 days to email forth and back to actually agree on something because they’re so ignorant as they take at least 24 hours or more to reply. They initially said £60 plus postage on a standard plate with my logo. I agreed but at the end when payment was going to be made the asked £70 + postage. I emailed them saying that we agreed on £60 + postage. They emailed me back saying that due to high demand they cannot do this for me. What a cheaters, liars with stinking attitude. Companies like that do not deserve to be on business.
