We have been delighted to work with Matt and Bethan on installing a bathroom designed to be in keeping with our 16th century cottage. They have listened very carefully to what we wanted, talked through all the design options with us and the pros and cons of each, and consulted us at every point when decisions were needed. They have worked hard to find practical solutions to the various challenges that have emerged, enabling us to have the bathroom we have been dreaming of. They are both extremely talented and have a keen eye for design. Matt who has been doing most of the practical installation work is a craftsman, and his work is of extremely high quality. We found the weekly progress reports very helpful to keep us updated. Matt and Bethan have been very reliable and punctual, always turning up when they have said they would and they have taken on board our desires to be as sustainable as possible, with our choices of timbers and upcycling the bathroom cabinet for us. Halfway through our project we are very pleased with what has been achieved so far.

We are very pleased with the work Matt is doing in our bathroom and en-suite. Matt carries out the work to an exceptional standard and his attention to detail is impressive. Matt is also trustworthy, we were able to give him the keys to our home while we were away on holiday. It is easy to live in the house while Matt works as he is friendly, very neat and tidy.

Pod & Pea provided an excellent service from start to finish for the refurbishment of my downstairs cloakroom. They presented a number of alternative designs and explained the benefits of each. As the work was carried out, Matt consulted with me on every design decision, but always explained the implications of decisions I made. He worked long hours to get the job done in the shortest number of days, and tidied up at the end of every day. One of my neighbours was so impressed they also asked him to do some work for them!

I hired Matt to do some carpentry work for our home. He is very friendly and approachable and it was apparent from the very first meeting that he takes the time to understand what the customer’s needs are. He was very patient to draw the design for us on the computer, give us ideas and also did a lot of revisions till we were happy with the final design. The quality of the product and his attention to detail is amazing. He kept the place very tidy throughout the job. After the first time, I went back to Matt for more jobs one of which was with Bethan for designing our living room unit. Bethan had a natural flair for interior design. She was quick to identify what our style and taste was and helped us to navigate through the choices. At the end of the session, she came up with a simple and practical design that we were happy with.
I would highly recommend both of them for interior design and carpentry work.

After having dealt with a lot of tradespeople as part of my house extension, I can say with confidence that it’s rare to find someone like Matt who truly listens and treats the job as if it was for his own house.

We were extremely pleased with our bespoke wardrobes. Our needs and ideas were all taken into account. Workmanship was to a very high standard indeed.
