I wanted to see what Point.me could do: Nothing

I wanted to see what Point.me could do before enrolling in the paid version, so I registered for the free version. The answer was: NOTHING.

I couldn't search a round-trip ticket or search for more than 1 person. Since my husband and I want to go to Japan (and back!) a one-way search for one person is pointless (pun intended?).

Why should I have to pay, if I don't know what the site can do for me? Will not be buying. I'll figure it out with my favorite AI site.

I’m heading to Bali with my daughter and decided to join point.me to help use my points for the trip—such a great decision! I also opted for the $400 concierge service, and it was absolutely worth it.

I’m not very tech-savvy, and this booking turned out to be pretty complicated between my recent name change, the length of the trip, and wanting to avoid routing through the Middle East given everything going on. Deena from point.me was incredible—so patient and helpful throughout the entire process.

She was able to book us two tickets via Singapore and Sydney for just $320 and 380,000 points. I was beyond impressed—this trip would have cost over $8,000 if we had paid cash.

Great marketing and hype but better off with ChatGPT or Claude

First they tout a monthly plan but charge you for the whole year without any heads up. I also found that the site does not give the entirety of the results and I certainly did not find them current. In checking San Francisco to Sydney yesterday it was missing Aeroplan and Asia miles points which were more attractive. I certainly did not get the results that I did from ChatGPT. In a couple of instances the data was inaccurate and it did not match up with the airline results. Great marketing and hype via social media but an AI Chatbot is more dependable.

Scam

This is the second time I have used this service. The first time I wasted hours looking for flights to get us to our destination and shockingly there was nothing available. This time I tried to use it to get a simple round trip flight to San Diego. Every time I tried to book the flight olit gave me a response of "oops there was a glitch in the process ". When I went to use the chat option I was sent to a service that would be more then happy to resolve the issue for a fee. This is one of the worst online services I have unfortunately spent money on and I will not make the same mistake again. It's all smoke and mirrors.

Superb

Natalie, the chief Customer service agent, is simply the best service person I have ever met in decades of flying. Point.me is really a dream come true. Your ability to use your miles for travel, get extremely favorable points and have the ultimate luxury of a real and highly attentive personal service agent. Makes travel a delight again. When we ran into a snafu created by Swiss, Natalie jumped in and saved the day. Could not recommend more highly. Bravo

I have tried multiple times to purchase…

I have tried multiple times to purchase the standard plan and live in Washington, DC. The form completes the state as DC and the city as Washington D.C. so Washington D.C., DC. My credit card will not recognize the address. I've tried on my phone and laptop, no luck. I've tried manually adjusting, no luck So, they've lost a customer and I'm on to a competitor.

I needed to purchase international…

I needed to purchase international tickets for two trips this year: one to Japan and later, the other to Ireland. I used a service back in 2018 and knew there must be other services available now. I used ChatGPT to find the top 10 services and discovered that many of them are now self-help, where you access their database and backend and do the work yourself. Point.me was the top service for providing a human concierge. They were Best for: “Complex trips (multi-city, multiple travelers, mixed programs) or when you want to outsource the entire strategy”. When I entered the request for the Japan trip, the concierge stayed on top of the process and helped me transfer the miles to make it happen. He was more diligent than I was, and I was impressed! He would work nights and the weekends, and if I did not notice that I was supposed to do something, he would call me. He was looking after my best interests, and you can’t ask for much more than that! Yesterday, I submitted a request for a trip to Ireland. Within three hours, I heard from the Concierge Coordinator, 1.5 hours later, from the Concierge who confirmed my information. Two hours later, he emailed me a draft schedule, and within three hours, the trip was booked. When I checked American Airlines, a one-way business-class ticket started at 240,000 miles. Sam found a JetBlue flight for 115,000 miles! I highly recommend this service!

Their purpose is to scam you into a subscription by baiting you with low fares they don't show.

Point.me is worthless If you only have…

Point.me is worthless If you only have delta miles. They point you in the direction of other airlines which I don't have points for. Their Internet advertisement was false and misleading because Delta sky miles deals are so much better than this service. Very disappointed I wish I would have never paid the $100 or so that they charged.

point.me is designed to help travelers search across many different airline loyalty programs and transfer partners, which is why you may see results through airlines other than the one you currently hold miles with. The goal is to show all of the possible ways a flight could be booked with points, including partner programs that sometimes require fewer miles than booking directly through the operating airline.

Terrible site

Terrible site. Basic does nothing you can do yourself, looking for flights. After finding out the site really doesn't help, it is impossible to cancel. They say it's easy, but when you follow their directions to cancel, the cancel button doesn't appear.

After trying several points-and-miles…

After trying several points-and-miles search tools I landed on Point.me and found it really useful for spotting airline award flights that I would’ve missed otherwise. The interface is clean and walks you through the steps clearly, which is great when you’re new to this kind of travel booking. On the flip side, some searches took longer than I expected and I wished there were more alert features for when award space opens. Overall, if you’re willing to trade a bit of speed for helpful guidance, I’d say it’s a solid tool.

Misleading & Useless!

I've been a paid member multiple times & have cancelled each time. Why? Because this site shows none existing flights. I'll type in my route, date & search. It'll show flight options. I'll pick an airline I have points with then then visit the airline's site & proceed to search for the same exact route & date. Airline then says such flight does not exist. I've even had airline's site give an error message saying they don't even fly such a route. Incase the flight is full I'll even try searching for days ahead for the same route. Same exact issue happens. This site makes up flights that do not actually pull up when visiting the supposed airline's own site.

point.me searches partner award availability across many airline programs — we certainly don’t generate or make up flights, so there are a few things that may be going here. Sometimes a flight can appear because it’s technically available through a partner program rather than the airline you’re checking directly. In those cases, the seat may only be bookable through that specific partner program and won’t show up when searching the operating airline’s own website.

In addition to this, award availability is also extremely dynamic. Seats can disappear very quickly as other travelers book them, and occasionally an airline’s system may briefly show availability that later disappears or errors out when you attempt to book.

If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to take a look at a specific example (route, date, and airline you saw) and explain exactly what may have been happening there. You can send this information to support@point.me.

Earned my business for life

I've been crazy impressed with the customer service of this group! The first time I tried to use them with their full service option, the girl was super honest and said they wouldn't be able to help much with my tight timeline, and then proactively refunded the money I paid! So she absolutely won my business...so the next time I had more time to plan, I booked them for the full service assistance.
