Customer service is excellent

Customer service is excellent. The Portrait Flip staff guided me through selecting a photo (of a friend's dog) and kept me informed of the steps throughout the process as the painter converted it into an oil painting. I received the painting a little ahead of schedule and was pleased with the result. The image didn't quite capture the dog's expression as I had hoped, but it was accurate and will look great when I get it framed and present it to my friend.

Fundamentally everything went as…

Fundamentally everything went as expected. I submitted a portrait photo for which some background part was removed and edited, then a watercolor generated. It took about a month and I am very happy with the results.
One con. The system does not allow direct communication white the artist. Every correspondence goes through an intermediary; relevant emails get mixed with add emails creating some confusion. Also I recommend that they show some prior work by the artist and allow the customer to choose preferentially the artist.

I have ordered two paintings the first…

I have ordered two paintings the first one last November was perfect very nicely packaged for Shipping recd in perfect condition
The second portrait I ordered was terrible. The eyes were not to my liking and you didnt listen when I said I wanted her right eye fixed. The lid is drooping. It arrived with the box torn apart and was actually packaged terrible. The frame was broken and not attached to the portrait. You had to send me a new frame and didnt include the hardware to attach the picture. I would not order from PortraitFlip again

Confusing site & bad customer service

Confusing site navigation, consistently not answering my specific questions, delays in allowing me to see mockup. They never seemed to understand that I wanted to get 2 paintings from same photo. Plus their framing prices for 12x16 were $100 - about $40 than other vendors. Felt like I was getting sales jobs instead of customer service. I finally had no alternative except to cancel project and ask for my deposits back.

I Think I Was Scammed

I placed my expedited order on 5/6 which “promises” shipping within 4 days of completion Was told it was ready on 5/18 so I paid the balance immediately. This was **13 days ago** . Still no tracking number and no response to my emails all of a sudden. I chatted with “support” and they said it’s in transit but they don’t know the tracking number and that I need to email support again. I think I’ve been scammed. Very sad as this was a special piece. At the very least I want the money back that I paid to have it expedited.

Everything was fine until.....

Everything was fine until I paid my final payment. Told the item would soon ship and then crickets. After about a week, reached out to inquire about the status, told it was shipped but not tracking number yet. Reached out a couple days later and was told the item shipped, but due to tariffs, FedEx was having issues with getting tracking numbers. I call Bullsh*t!!! Anyway, still haven't received my portrait, and don't have high hopes I will.

Very good buying experience & result

The PortraitFlip process and the staff supporting the process were great! My portrait is a wedding gift and I was anxious about some details - not only were the emails reassuring but I was able to chat at ANY time of day and get a response. And I was chatting with a real person not a chat bot. Amazing. I hope the pencil portrait I receive is the same quality as my buying experience.
Update! I received my pencil portrait and it’s great! It’s going to make a wonderful wedding gift. PortraitFlip support indicated that I should not frame it with a glass cover so I’ll be sure to heed their advice. A note to those who are looking to frame a portrait – don’t go to Michaels! Terrible service. I’m going to a local portrait framer and hopefully I’ll be able to do the work done by PortraitFlip justice.
