It took them 3 MONTHS to "clean up" my books for 2025, and they didn't even do a good job.

They outsource the actual bookkeeping to slow, unskilled teams in India, and a brick wall could communicate more than my "account manager" in the US did. She repeatedly ignored my questions via email.

When I complained to the manager of my "account manager", she mentioned that said "account manager" manages over TWO HUNDRED accounts. No wonder she couldn't respond to any of my questions. What a complete joke.

Also, the fact that it was a TEAM of people in India instead of just one person, opened up so much room for miscommunication amongst themselves, meaning nothing got done properly.

Finally when they were done "cleaning up" my books, I went into Quickbooks and noticed a ton of transactions that they miscategorized and I had to fix myself anyway.

It's quite clear that "Powered Books" is just a cash grab, borderline scam company that does not care about the quality of their work at all, and instead chooses to invest their money into Facebook ads and salespeople to hook large numbers of gullible small business owners like me with "too good to be true" low prices.

You will do MUCH MUCH better to go on Upwork and find yourself one real human being to do your bookkeeping for you, who you can directly communicate with without all these bloodsucking middlemen making everything worse.

Katie is my girl! I have been working with her going on my thrid business. She knows what she needs and how to get us going. I trust Katie and PowerBooks with all our bookkeeping. They are a true partner, they are more than just our bookkeepers.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!.............I have had the worst experience with this company. They have an American sales person, Katelynn who promises you everything and acts like she is an accountant and the owner of the company and in charge. Once they make the sale you never here from this person again. All the bookkeeping work is done in India, where the person there once again promises you anything you want to hear but does not deliver any useful information in the way of your books. Communication is not good. It is impossible to visit with anyone over the phone or with the company owner. The CPA that they assigned to me to do my taxes had significant diabetic health issues and gave me back the most crazy tax return you could ever imagine. I am sure it did not help due to the books that were in complete chaos that they gave to him to do them with. You could get him on the phone but he would tell you anything you wanted to hear and then would stop communicating. They then assigned a new CPA to me, and he also finally gave up a few days before taxes were due. I finally had to find a local CPA to do my taxes as an emergency that ended up being almost a month past tax day before they were completed. This was a very bad experience, is all I can tell you. I will never use an online firm again. Go local so you can walk into an office if things are not going well. It is too easy to sell you on anything they like and not deliver when you don't have to ever look someone in the eye, especially when the people doing all the work are in India. Support your fellow Americans is what I have learned the hard way.
