Unpleasant smell
I had great expectations for this product. It partly does what it says it does. And that is why I'm taking off one star. The second star is off, because of how bad it smells. I do not know what the filling material is, but it is unbearable. I have used it twice and placed it in a well ventilated room in between. The odour is still there.

Hi Xenia - We're sorry to hear this about the scent. Each Shoutlet comes lightly scented with organic lavender oil, but all Shoutlet covers are machine washable. Our foam cores are made from hypoallergenic bamboo charcoal memory foam and should not have any scent, much less a bad one. Happy to send over a replacement if desired. False advertising
The ad that sold me on this product showed a video of a woman yelling into It and you couldn’t hear her at all. Mine does not work like this - it’s no more effective than my regular pillow and I’m disappointed that I fell for false advertising. I also purchased one as a gift. Shoutlet, please use honest advertising. This is really disappointing.

Sorry to read this review, especially being a small business trying to help people overcome with anxiety/stress issues. We do not 'false advertise' - we simply share user generated videos of the Shoutlet. We stand by our product and our claims that it reduces upwards of 50%+ decibel output. Highly recommended downloading a free decibel measurement app (i.e. DecibelX) and measuring the difference between screaming with and without the Shoutlet.
