We are here to help
We fully understand the frustrations you are feeling under the current situation due to the steep increase in prices. Energy markets have hit record highs which have caused major problems across the energy industry. We trust the following provides some reasoning for the increases: CNG forward bought your gas usage when the wholesale market was considerably lower than today, this enabled you to be on the rate you were previously on. Unfortunately, when CNG went into administration these hedges / forward purchases ended. The knock-on effect of this is that Pozitive Energy inherited your supply at the current market rate which is significantly higher. After a rigorous tender process Pozitive Energy was appointed the “supplier of last resort” (SoLR) During this process deemed / out of contract prices were strictly agreed with Ofgem As Pozitive Energy was appointed the supplier of last resort no hedges could be put in place as you have no contract with us, therefore the current market rate is applicable. Unfortunately, the rate you were previously on to the rate you are on now is significantly more, however, we are forced to buy and supply you at these rates. Our fixed term contracts are far more competitive than our deemed pricing and we would encourage everyone to get in touch with our Customer Care team to discuss a fixed term contract with us. Avoid at all costs

They took over a residential electric contract on one of my rented properties without notifying us and then after 8months sent an email stating they had it, and it was on a business contract. On calling them to sort they said I had asked for it to be with them which I had not and refused to let it go back to my private residential electric tariff without paying nearly £900 for something they should have not taken.
Their call handlers are in Mumbai and also clearly just stick to a robotic script and it’s near on impossible to resolve. Disgraceful company

You could not make this up!
An update...one year later...still a broken smart meter...still double billing and double direct debits being taken...still daily phone calls and emails.
After cancelling the direct debits on the staff advice, now recieving debt collection letters.
Not allowed to pay because Positive Energy say that we are not customers! That I have been sending photos of random meters not my own, that they are not responsible for changing the broken meter. Despite 4 visits from 4 engineers telking them that there is only 1 broken meter...
Stay away from this company!

We can confirm that we are already in contact with you and are actively working to resolve this matter.

Based on the details currently available on our systems, the Meter Serial Number (MSN) you have shared is registered as being supplied by British Gas. As a result, we are unable to raise a job or arrange an engineer visit for that meter.

We also note that there appears to be a different MSN recorded at the site, and you have mentioned that the original meter has been removed. Unfortunately, we do not hold records confirming when that removal took place. Additionally, if a new meter has been installed under British Gas, we would not have visibility or control over that installation.

We appreciate your patience while we continue our investigation.
