I joined Professional Travel Center LLC/My Member Price because the presentation emphasized competitive travel pricing, savings on major purchases, and the ability to earn commissions on trips booked for friends and family.
Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
The promotional airfare and cruise offers came with enough restrictions that they were not as valuable as they initially appeared. My attempts to purchase products through the program resulted in either long delays or prices I could beat myself. Most disappointing was the travel booking service. When I submitted the details of a trip I had already found, I was told they could only offer the higher retail price rather than matching the advertised online pricing. I also struggled to get clear answers about how the commission program worked.
When I contacted management to discuss these issues, I was eventually told I would receive a refund. After that conversation, my follow-up emails, texts, and voicemails went unanswered.
Everyone's experience may be different, but mine did not reflect the value I expected based on the presentation. My advice is to compare prices independently, ask detailed questions before joining, and carefully evaluate whether the membership offers enough value for your travel needs.
