I have used Propelr for over a year now and personally worked in Estate agency for over 15 years. I manage a team in South East London and use Propelr on a large volume of sales. It has been a game changer, allowing the sale to move at pace and limits the risk of fall throughs.

I manage an estate agency in South West London and I have used Propelr for a couple of years now on the majority of my sales. It has shaved weeks and in some cases months off of transactions, massively reducing the risk of fall throughs. As a result, my sales team have had more time to proactively sell and secure higher prices for clients. Incredible services from Propelr and innovative approach to conveyancing!

We were introduced to Propelr through Fine & Country and chose the service because it promised to get our property "exchange ready" while it was being marketed, helping to speed up the conveyancing process.

We onboarded in March 2025 and expected much of the legal work to be completed before a buyer was found. Given the amount of time that passed, we expected the transaction to be well progressed by the time we accepted an offer in October 2025. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience.

After we accepted an offer through Savills, discussions took place between Savills and Propelr regarding the transaction and the possibility of the buyers using Propelr's appointed solicitor. The buyers ultimately decided to use a different solicitor as they wanted to move the transaction forward as quickly as possible.

At that point, we were provided with an abortive invoice of £750 + VAT (£900) in relation to the buyer-side solicitor. This made it particularly difficult to understand why the amount ultimately claimed on completion increased to £2,750 + VAT (£3,300), despite Propelr's appointed buyer-side solicitor not acting through to exchange and completion.

When I queried this, Propelr explained that the fee was not linked to the amount of work completed by the buyer-side solicitor, but instead formed part of a fixed-cost model that became payable on completion. Whilst I understand that this is their position, it was not how I had understood the fee to operate and it became a significant point of dispute later in the transaction.

What I found particularly frustrating was the handling of the dispute. I first raised concerns regarding the fee in February and the disputed funds were held by the solicitors throughout. Whilst the disputed funds were being held by the solicitors throughout, it then took around two months to receive Propelr's substantive response. I was therefore surprised that, after taking that length of time to reach their position, the goodwill reduction offered was only available if payment was made within 14 days.

The sale completed successfully, but based on our experience I would not use Propelr again. I would encourage anyone considering the service to fully understand the fee structure and exactly how it operates if a buyer decides to use their own solicitor.

I’m really happy with how my sale turned out. Everything went through quickly and smoothly, and my estate agent even mentioned it was the fastest sale his office had seen this year.

My nominated solicitor was effective and responsive.
What mattered most to me was the confidence I had throughout, without the usual stress or uncertainty. The additional fee felt minor compared to the overall value of the transaction, and I’ve no regrets at all. The peace of mind and speed made it well worth it. Choosing Propelr was definitely the right call.

We were assured that working with this company would simplify the process once we received an offer on our property. However, at no point was it clearly explained to us what the financial implications would be if we chose not to proceed with a sale. After deciding to withdraw our property from the market, we are now being charged £1,800 for what appears to be a minimal amount of work. We feel this cost is disproportionate and would have appreciated a clearer breakdown of the charges and a review of how such fees are communicated to clients needs to be done.

Selling a property is a painful process but Propelr helped considerably. The lawyers they have on their roster are a cut above most conveyancers and the Propelr team themselves were responsive and on hand to help the transaction run as smoothly as possible. In a sector that is ripe for innovation, this is a very welcome addition.

The Propelr operating model is innovative, an opportunity for Property Sellers to get ahead in the Sell/Buy process. Propelr were engaged early and started the legal process, which is saving time now that a Buyer has been found. Most importantly, Propelr bring a wealth of market experience to the process and occupy a unique position between Seller and Buyer that facilitates open communication in pursuit of Completion. They have been readily available for telephone updates and offer helpful advice, particularly to overcome the inevitable difficult days!

Not a great experience - updated now transaction has concluded. Good idea, might work for super simple transactions but several niggles. Central issue is that Propelr don’t really ‘manage’ the solicitors. We only got traction by escalating to managing partner our side. Other is that solicitors are average at best. Lots of last minute scrambles even though ‘pack’ was supposedly complete. Have provided Propelr with info they requested below. Their response was to stop communicating with us.

A great experience with Propelr. They definitely speeded up the process and made it much smoother than previous property sales that I have dealt with. Good communication and a simple process for all. Well done
