Proper Connections carried out the Electrical Safety Certificate at my rental property and identified a few faults that needed rectifying. I spoke to Sanchez and he explained a few things to me and offered a good price for the work required. He was, able to do the job a few days later and was good enough to send a message saying he would be 20 minutes later than planned, which was not a problem. Later that day I had my clear certificate. It was an excellent smooth service and I will use Proper Connections in the future. I can definitely recommend Sanchez.

I am writing this review so hopefully you won’t fall into the same trap/con as I did.
I posted a job on Checkatrade to remedy 3 faults highlighted in the fire alarm panel. Front entrance, kitchen and room 5 on the second floor.
Proper Connections Ltd reached out and said the fault find/call out fee would be £84 and this has to be paid first before the appointment is confirmed. The so called engineer arrived looking at the fire alarm panel clueless, pressed a few buttons then start reading/studying the instruction manual. He took photos of the information on the panel which lists the faults. He said these will be forwarded to the office for advice. The same 3 faults which I have already forwarded to the company together with a video.
The next day, I called for an update and surprise surprise: the verdict was fault at front entrance, kitchen and room 5. The office said they will come back with a price. Of course, this never happened.
Clearly, the engineer who attended the property knows nothing about fixing the fault. He is just there to take the same photos which I took and send back to the office. He made an appearance. I don’t need to spend £84 for someone to read off the screen of the 3 faults.
It appears, this company’s policy is to attend as many call outs as possible, con as many customers as possible. They dare not to provide a follow up quote as they have no idea how to fix the problem.
BAD KARMA. I am sure the universe will find its way to restore the balance at some point. Its just time before this company ceases trading but to start up with another with a different name.
Please think twice before instructing this cowboy company.

I paid this lot £80 to provide a fire alarm certificate. Their 'electrician' was unable to tell the difference between a battery and mains powered alarm, or didn't even bother to check. This wasn't made clear on the certificate, and has caused me no end of hassle with the council recently. Avoid.

Poor communication for appointment , issuing of incorrect Pat , failed EICR with no follow up quote. Send a quote for remedial for £840 which turns out to be be only £200

They did re issue a New Pat with correct dates

Sadly will not be using them again

I came across this company by chance, and I took his number. I wanted to put a light with fan up in the ceiling. He then arrived 10mins before, which was brilliant. He was very polite and treated my home with respect. He then done some pre checks which I appreciate,before starts drilling. He was very communicative and informative. The job was completed within 30mins. My ceiling fan is sturdy and works without no problems. Very happy with the job and customer service and very reasonable price. Definitely a Proper connection 😃. Sanchos did a great job moving my old Dimplex storage heater to a different location on the wall. He was quick but also paid good attention to detail. I would definitely recommend and will consider Proper Connection for future electrical work.
