The young person who initially provided service was ok but the other young person who came over interrupted the other person, took over and had a terrible manner which was not friendly at all. The manner was smart and rude. She kept saying if you take it today I can give you 40% off. My budget was $1000 for a gold chain. I would never have spent $1000 with that service. I walked out turned off to ever return.

Had a bangle bought for me

Had a bangle bought for me. The bangle broke at the join. Said they couldn't fix it as it would break again. Well that was your design and mistake. They knew it was brought there, and because it was a gift l had no receipt. No offer to replace with someone else. Bangle still at shop won't be picking it up. Never shop there again.

Avoid Prouds - They’re shonky

I purchased an automatic Seiko divers watch from Prouds store in Warriewood in November 2025. By January the watch was losing 10 to 20 minutes a day. I returned it to the store in early January and asked for a replacement or a refund. The assistant manager in charge told me that Seiko watches always lose a bit. However, she refused my refund or replacement request and told me it was Seiko’s problem, not Prouds’ even though my purchase contract had been with Prouds. She also told me that it would take 6 weeks for Seiko to check the watch. So , today , 6 weeks later I returned to Prouds to learn from a different woman that my watch had not been returned and could take as long as 3 months to arrive. I gave them 24 hours to give me a refund or I would complain to Consumer Affairs. That had no effect because, obviously, such complaints are frequent. Proud is, from my experience, a completely disreputable and dishonest company that should be avoided.

Misleading and false advertising!!!

I request a sales rep to retrieve a ring from the display window at Kardinya Shopping Centre, Fremantle PERTH
Immediately I asked to produce my drivers licence without any explanation or justification causing me distress and discomfort. Later on I learned through another Jeweler that while it’s required for high value items they take the time to explain the reasoning behind of this request to their customers.
I lay by the ring which was reduced from $1,140 to $549.
I returned to the store on 6th of February to collect the ring and after finalising the transaction. I discovered a similar ring with the same price tag as the one I have purchased, red tag reduced from just over a $1,000 to $549.
I asked the customer service NOT
To presented to me. Despite the initial hesitation, she complied with my request. I remarked that it was a nicer looking ring and that I hadn’t seen it during my previous visits. She replied “it has been here for a long time”
However, when I decided to exchanged it for the one I had just purchased, she changed her tune and did a 360d turned and took off to the back of the store, returning to advise me the price was NOT $549 but $999 due to an “HUMAN ERROR”
I ended up returning the original ring there and then.
My complaint in writing to head office was a waste of my time and effort.
Their response, again Human Error” but if it would have been a “System error” they would have honour the discounted price.
Go figure. An insult to my intelligence !!!
I will never ever buy from Prouds again
Not to be trusted.

Went in to look at silver bangles, they were on a shelf behind the counter. I asked if I could look at them, woman serving me (that's if you could call it that)asked which one I would like to look at, I said that I can't actually see them, they are on a shelf high behind the counter. I was told that she can't take the whole tray down, once again I said I can't see them where they are. I said I need to look at what I want to by.She stood her ground with a sickly smirk on her face and once again asked me which one I wanted to look at .This women shouldn't be dealing with the public.Shit service.

Baby ID bracelet

Baby ID bracelet, padlock clasp broken, only realised when I got it home. I went straight back to the store on the afternoon of purchase & was advised to submit for repair under 12-month warranty. I have now been advised that because it has been engraved the 12-month warranty is void.
The whole idea of an ID bracelet is to have it engraved with the baby's name.
How does engraving the name plate void the warranty of a padlock clasp?
Do not purchase from Prouds. Save your money & time & buy somewhere else.

Worst service ever, never again

I bought a gift card for a birthday present with a necklace. Got the necklace but was told my gift card was via email. I said I wanted the actual card to pass on but they said, no they couldn’t do that. I said can you please reimburse me, they said no, can’t do that. I said I don’t have a printer and Louie from Sydney said just take the email in to Prouds. I’m so upset and angry. Will NEVER buy from them again. So unhelpful, it’s just pathetic. So angry

Overpriced, Poor Service and Lies!

My husband took my 35 year old eternity ring (to Parramatta Prouds store) in to have a very very small emerald replaced that had fallen out of the ring. He left the ring in its 35 year old ring box at the store to get a quote. He was quoted over $500 AUD to replace the very very small emerald, so he went to pick the ring up and take it elsewhere where we were quoted less than half that. When he collected the ring, they handed it to him in a plastic bag. He questioned them about the box and they denied the box had been left. After my husband repeatedly insisted the box had been left, they called the jeweller who said he had thrown it away as it was mouldy. Firstly it was not mouldy. Secondly, it was not his property to dispose of regardless of condition. The store's response was to hand my husband a crappy cardboard ring box with Proud's branding all over it. There was no apology. There was no recognition that this was somebody's personal property. There was no recognition of sentimental value. (They are a jewellry store and sadly do not recognise sentimental value). There was no apology for brushing him off with the lie that it didn't come in a box when the assistant had no idea. There was no consideration at all for the customer.
I would not purchase from Prouds again. Overpriced, poor service and lies.

Constantly having to get rings fixed.

We purchased my engagement and wedding band from Prouds in 2019. Since then it’s lost stones every 6 months. I barely wear it now because it’s so delicate. Every time I bring it back they just shrug. One lady even accused me of wearing it too much- excuse me, am I not supposed to wear my wedding rings? They’ve never tried to find a solution for me, it just keeps getting sent back to be fixed and then within 6 months, another stone comes loose.

“At Prouds, durability is optional, and customer care is nonexistent.”

Too bad there's not a zero star option.
My 17 year old son bought his girlfriend a gold heart locket and chain at Prounds in Warringah mall for $180 with his own money and after only a MONTH the locket broke clean off the chain and was lost.
Prouds not interested in refunding as per ACL even though it should be clear to them that their products are cheap rubbish masquerading as jewellery. They. just. don't. care. Shop assistants actually smirked at me when I went back.
Prouds, will get my refund one way or another and I'm spreading the word about your dodgy business practices as it seems this is indicative of how you run your business as a whole.

If earrings don't fit your ear piercing they are classed as "WORN"

I wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased "huggie" earrings. You cannot try earrings on in store for "health reasons" so I didn't realize until I tried to wear them after Christmas that the posts were too thick for my ear piercing. I've worn pierced earring for 40 years. I tried to return the earrings in store NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE but because I had "worn them" (the staffs words not mine) I was told they could not exchange or refund. Once purchased without trying to wear the earrings how else was I to know they didn't fit. At no point in the sale was I told that the posts were of a certain size - i.e. larger than some other earrings. After complaining through the store I also tried their customer service online but kept getting automated responses.
Disgusted and disappointed! They could easily include the post size information!

Refused refund for faulty item.

In early December I purchased a heart locket necklace for my daughter for Christmas from Prouds Fountaingate. The locket was faulty and I returned to the store on January 16, which was the first chance I had to take it back. I was happy to exchange for the same item, but it was out of stock. I was told there was as one in transit to arrive the following day, but I did not want to have to go back to the store so I asked for a refund, so my daughter could just sort it herself. I was told that I could not have a refund, only replacement or exchange voucher. I said it is faulty and as per Australian consumer Law I am entitled to a refund. The male sales person then said, how do I know it was faulty when you got it. Anyway, this went back and forth, I told him I wasn’t leaving until I got my refund and there was no way I wanted an exchange voucher because I will never shop at Prouds again. I have given my daughter the $50 to spend elsewhere and we won’t be shopping at Prouds again.

DONT TRUST 30 days exchange offer

I got a 1k AU$ worth ring as a gift with option to exchange in 30 days. I wanted to exchange after less than 24 hours from purchase and store refused as ring had signs of wearing. Ring was given to us from display so hundreds people before me could try it on but apparently 1 scratched it in less than 214 hours and to exchange QLD regional manager Adam request us to pay for replating. DONT TRUST THEM as they will always find a way to cheat clients.

How a happy occasion was ruined by Prouds the Jewellers Coffs Harbour

My husband attended the Coffs Harbour Prouds the Jewellers store to purchase a ring as a surprise anniversary gift. He was unsure of the size and was actively encouraged by the salesperson to buy the larger, more expensive ring on the basis he could return it and exchange for the smaller ring. He wasn't advised the price difference wouldn't be refunded. The ring was too large. My husband returned to the same store the next week to exchange the ring, requesting refund of the price difference. He was refused. I also went to the store seeking resolution, the store manager was rude, dismissive and unwilling to assist. At one stage I had to politely request that she not raise her voice at me and during the conversation she also stated "I don't have time for this, I have customers to serve". I just wanted a ring that fitted, I wasn't even offered the option to try any on. I was advised I needed to make a complaint. I left the store with the ring that is too large for my finger feeling very sad and embarrassed by how I'd been treated. My husband tried to buy a beautiful gift for a happy occasion and it's been ruined by our experiences with Prouds the Jewellers at Coffs Harbour.
