The customer service at ProWritingAid was top notch. I had a question 1 day before a contest deadline and they responded quickly and professionally to answer it.
Their program is also amazing.

The software is quick and responsive. Compared to Grammarly, it was nearly seamless with my final phase of editing in Google Docs. Grammarly made the entire browser chug to a halt; so just this is a vast improvement. Only complaints i have are minor nitpicking not worth bringing. Things that likely would fade once the software understands my writing style better. Though once the free suggestions and such are used, the fact that the suggestions are still so responsive delays editing a little bit, as the pop up does get in the way for no use out of.

I just found ProWritingAid about a week ago! My husband had seen an ad on instagram, and he sent it to me so I could check it out. I really like the live spelling and grammar checks, and I also appreciate the number of insightful reports the system can run on my work. It's helped me shape my writing and move through my manuscript more efficiently. Fantastic tool!

I feel my writing style improving because of this website.
I'm now on the lookout for sentence length, variety, and sticky sentences.
However, I cannot dismiss the premium features. It recommended that I use "better phrasing" for the name of my character, and I can't even remove it.
It keeps telling me I'm using an incorrect word form even though I'm writing in the present tense instead of the past tense.

Can't imagine a better helper for scientific writing. Occasionally seems to crash in MS Word, but overall a great product.

Overall, very helpful.
I do have one issue when it comes to rephrasing options. I find that it attempts to remove the writer's voice even when set to creative mode. As a fantasy writer, voice is incredibly important to my work, and it is a struggle to see it flagged as 'incorrect' when it is more of a subjective opinion than linguistically correct. I do enjoy the sidebar feature on Google Docs as well.

Sometimes it messes up suggestions, and I wish you could delete premium suggestions. But otherwise it catches a lot of things I nor my editor can, so that is really helpful. The best thing is helping with sentence beginnings repeating.

I love ProWritingAid because of its friendly interface, ease of use and more relaxed rephrasing. I ran a manuscript critique and it genuinely blew me away with how it described the complex dynamics and themes present in my story's setting and characters, and now I've gotten the push I need to not rewrite the end of my story, but give it some sense and spine.

My only qualm with it is how expensive credits are, and how it doesn't consider character dialect when flagging errors in dialogue.

I like the community of writers, the helpful feedback, and the feeling of accomplishment I get from writing using this tool.

I love writing with this as it made me realize just how much I need to improve with my tenses (present tense, past, future, etc.) and made me realize that I show a lot more than I tell.

I'm currently writing a story of my own right now, and ProWritingAid is helping bring out the detailed and sophisticated language that I'm looking for. No matter what I am writing, whether it be a letter, a document, or just continuing with my story, ProWritingAid is there to help me with my writing and to make it as effective as possible!

But often I'll receive conflicting corrections. i.e. A pop-up will tell me to remove a comma. I'll remove the comma, then another pop-up will tell me to add a comma.

It is very good at picking up errors and providing constructive criticism on reports and texts. Its customisation options ensure whatever your writing is perfect for the task at hand. However, the limit on report runs is very short, especially if writing a gradable report. I will note that payment plans a reasonable and the lifetime plan is a standout that no other type of grammar tool has, which makes it a clear favourite personally.

I like all the features, but hate how many things are locked behind the membership. It can also be very overstimulating, but overall, a great app and even greater potential.

I like it so much that it corrects my writing; I learn while practicing. Receiving reports and critiques is also beneficial for my improvement and helps my self-esteem.
