I've been using ProWritingAid for quite some time now. Initially I had the yearly subscription however, I got tired of having the recuring yearly change on my debit card. When I came into the requisite founds, I parted with the $300(green backs) for the life time membership.
Since purchasing said membership, I've not looked back once. It's acturally even helped me become a better typist and wrighter(word smith(.

I am a writer, and this cuts down on the editing needed. I find so many minor mistakes that I should notice, but don't. It also helps keep my emails professional and error-free.

Customers service was top notch, love working with this software. Allows you to really narrow done on improvement if your a very serious writer. Love this

I work on scripts and such, so this was a good help for my writing, but it takes a while for scripts pro writing doesn't always work.

I like that it helps my writing, but it always gives me suggestions that don't make sense or don't help me.

I liked the advice they give for writing, but i hate that i have to pay to not get limits; if you can make the rephrasing have no limits, that would certainly help a lot!

I love all the features!

So many different angles to improve my writing that I normally don't even think about.

There are some bugs/AI suggestions/corrections that don't really make sense. And it mostly wants me to write in past tense when I'm writing in the present tense.

ProWritingAid helped me with my grammar and corrections on my book.

I am a beginning writer, still developing my skills, and ProWritingAid can give feedback that improves my writing. The critiques it runs are very helpful to get my writing where it needs to be before having a human review it.

I do not like that there's a lot of stuff free users can't do.

It feels good to the criticism on my work

A man of faith, a new age spiritualist, a wiccan, and a satanist walk into the prowritingaid bar. The bartender looks at the man of faith and says, “We don’t serve your kind here—leave.”

I write supernatural thrillers and you would expect to find these types in such a book. I have new age types that love their crystals and music. Satanists that worship Satan. Wiccans that celebrate Mother Earth. I made mention that one of the character’s life improved after finding faith. That is it. End of story. The prowritingaid critique flagged that mention of faith as inappropriate and suggested I remove it unless I was writing an actual Christian novel. I got no such suggestion for any of the other catagories. It seems that all forms of religion are accepted except for Christianity.

It's good and helps me with grammar and punctuation, but at the same time, I wish there were more free features.

Which is helpfull to correct my spellings and also rephrase the word and really love the snippets (removed recently)

improvements needed:

In Mac there is build in writing tools which rephrase whole paragraph but Pro writing aid will rephrase sentence by sentence.

Also, even if the rephrase done by pro writing it still shows error which needs to be removed.

Finally It would be usefull if you bring that snippet back. I have tried the other snippet tool which is not good as you did and I do not want to pay again for snippet tool alone.

Helping me remember the foundations of good writing. With the guides and rules. Let's just say I had forgotten quite a bit during my hiatus. And now that I'm more familiar with everything again, I can regard and disregard the rules when matter or don't. I'm not sure if they should tweak the rules, guides, because sometimes them being wrong is a learning experience of itself.

The app works great, sans a few glitches. My writing has improved considerably since using ProWritingAid. I am seeing fewer mistakes needing correction.

I bought a lifetime subscription and so far I do not regret it a bit. It has inspired me to dive back into writing and even publish a few free stories online to the masses, which I have received some decent reviews.

The Windows app works great in apps like Scrivener, Google Docs, and LibreOffice. The Chrom plugin struggles on certain websites, like Reddit. It just plain refuses to work there. I have no issue on most sites though like this review site for example.

Overall, I am a happy camper, and feel my writing has improved so much and reads much better than when I used Grammarly.

ProWritingAid has changed my writing method. Prior to diving into PWA, I was using Google Docs. In fact, I had written 60k words in my Doc. Then I transferred it all into PWA and it opened my eyes to my writing style and technique. Using all the tools/reports available in real time has modified the way the words are put together in my head before they hit the computer screen. It has helped me find my errors in my process and now I write more coherent and stylistic prose. Also, it has broken many of the grammar errors that I never knew were wrong. I wish I could apologize to all my English teachers.

I've been using the free version of PWA for several years. In the early day it seemed like many features were free and unlimited. I miss those days but I understand you run a business and can't have unlimited recommendations, perks and evaluations.

Prowritingaid helps me to write better. It suggests words that better fit when I am writing long paragraphs and sentences.
