I had a great experience with PSI and highly recommend their services. I went to CVS to get a vaccine, and the process was quick and smooth. The shot was completely free, and I didn’t need to pay anything on the spot.

I purchased this insurance as an international student/OPT graduate believing it would provide basic coverage for medical visits. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and stressful.

I visited a doctor due to chest/stomach discomfort, and the visit also included a general wellness evaluation. Tests were ordered by the physician, including lab work and an X-ray. Later, all charges were denied and classified as preventive care, meaning I had to pay out of pocket, including separate bills from the lab and imaging center.

What was especially frustrating is that this plan does not cover preventive care or routine checkups at all, which was not clearly explained during enrollment. I received an insurance card but do not recall receiving the full policy handbook upfront, and I only learned about these exclusions after claims were denied.

As a recent graduate, being billed back-to-back for multiple services with no coverage was financially difficult. While customer service did respond, the outcome was always the same: everything was the member’s responsibility.

I would strongly advise students and recent graduates to read the full policy very carefully and understand that this plan is probably for emergencies or accidents, not routine or mixed medical visits. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations, and I have decided to cancel my coverage.
