Most of the experience was good. The cat is all that I wanted.
The hand-off could almost not been screwed up more. I drove over 10 hours (my choice) to pick the kitten up at Philadelphia airport. Waited 2 hours past agreed time, then drove to meet them at a Starbucks 30 minutes away.

Ghosted after reporting negligent kitten treatment
UPDATE: 12/30/2025
We were ghosted yet again. Purebred Kitties never responded to our various emails after replying to us here on Trustpilot, and insurance didn't cover the ER visit because it was considered a pre-existing condition. We decided to file a complaint with the consumer protection office, but not to pursue legal remedy because legal counsel said that despite the obvious negligence, there is a low chance we would get any payment, even if we won. Purebred kitties is an awful company, and I would urge anyone considering using them to go elsewhere.
ORIGINAL:
I adopted a kitten from Purebred Kitties and unfortunately had an awful experience. Our cat arrived covered in her own feces, had several infections, and weighed 3 pounds (a 5 month old bengal kitten should weigh 6-8 pounds). Within days of arrival, the kitten became seriously ill and required multiple emergency vet visits, including an overnight hospitalization. Our veterinarians told us her condition had been developing for weeks, which may have stemmed from a 9-day-long journey from Kiev to Moldova to Istanbul to New York to Delaware to Philadelphia to Chicago to Boston.
We contacted the company immediately, provided all vet records and invoices. They responded with incorrect information regarding the terms and conditions and trying to convince us that our kitten was in good health. After a follow up email explaining that their information was mistaken, we have now been completely ghosted.
At minimum, I expected communication and some level of accountability, but that never happened. Based on my experience, I will never recommend anyone go with Purebred Kitties and strongly urge others to look elsewhere to get their kitten. We are seeking legal action because we have paid almost $5,000 in emergency vet fees in the first month of having our kitten.

The overall experience was good!
The overall experience was good! Everyone was very friendly but I wish the communications were a but more organized. I was speaking with 3 different people and even more people to arrange details for a flight nanny. But my baby is so cute and he is healthy, at home, and in my lap! Thats all it matters at the end of the day!

First time purchasing online/overseas..
I was very nervous about buying a cat oversees without ever communicating with the breeder. There are many scams out on the internet and I was very cautious. The communication was solid and I felt a particular care after I had placed my reservation payment. The weekly videos were promising and warm with attention. The flight was all taken care of according to my schedule. It was seamless and I feel much better about potentially buying again from Purebred Kitties. Amazing cats
The representatives at Purebred kitties were always very responsive to us. There was some waiting involved during the adoption process and some uncertainty but in the end we picked up our two new kittens as arranged. The cats were healthy, happy and well socialized. Thank you so much!

WHERE IS MY CAT??
I put a down payment on a kitten in June. I waited patiently. At the end of October I started asking questions.
Different people told me different things. First, I was told that the breeder said the kitten had diarrhea. I was given a date and time to pick her up from the airport. That was cancelled. Then I was told she had a slight cold. I was told she would be ready 2 days ago. But, then, I was sent some paperwork to sign and send back and that didn't happen either. Then I was told that she would be ready tomorrow or Monday. No one got in touch with me. I called today and was told she isn't eating as well as they would like her to and that she is scheduled to come on Monday. I have told the people that if she doesn't come on Monday, I don't want the cat and I want my money back. I'm done!!

We received our kitten with a hernia
We received our kitten with a hernia. We took her to the vet within two days of getting her. Purebred kitties say nothing they can do. They say they do very thorough vet checks and yet somehow something this noticeable was missed. Very disappointed on how they are handling this.

Advertising as a San Francisco Bay Area company. I had no idea that the kitty would be coming from the East Coasr and therefore unable to pick him up. Unlit after non refundable deposit was made I planned to drive locally to save delivery fee of $600. In reality, he arrived with Ukrainian passport and papers. I didn’t like not being advised in advance that he was not in the Bay Area.

Younger kittens have a better chance of adjusting!
If I order from Purebred Kitties again, I would definitely order a much younger kitten. Mine was 6 months when I ordered and 8 months when she arrived. She was totally traumatized by moving to the other side of the world! We are trying to get to know each other but we have a language barrier plus different customs. She doesn’t understand English, so NO is meaningless to her. One day in frustration I shouted NYET, and she stopped immediately! Shucks - now I need to take Russian language lessons.
My poor kitty was really depressed! Her eyes were dull and lifeless. Too many changes! For the first 8 months her life was safe and predictable, and then everything went to hell overnight. She already had her life planned out and those plans definitely didn’t include me. Since most of the kittens they sell are half her age, relocating isn’t as difficult for them. After 6 weeks in the USA, if I left my kitty alone with my phone and credit card, I know she would order a plane ticket back home to Ukraine.
Would I order from Purebred Kitties again? Not after what happened next!!!
I tried for 2 months, treating this cat with kindness even though we never bonded. My vet said the cat was a product of inbreeding - with carpal valgus (joint malformation) ... and extremely low intelligence!
A mentally disabled cat would never be safe in the home of a woodworker with saw blades and power tools everywhere. She needed to go! But Purebred Kitties customer service said they want to control where I send the cat. Ten minutes later Maria (the owner) called and told me I was a horrible human being and should never be allowed to have another cat. She was shockingly rude - said the most terrible things!!! Maria didn’t care where the cat went - said that was my problem. The whole conversation was totally inappropriate and I lost all respect for Purebred Kitties. She berated me for 16 minutes, then said she was blacklisting me. Fine - I would never get another cat without meeting it first!!!

Regarding her origin, we do work with licensed international breeders, including those in Ukraine, and every kitten travels with the required documents and passport. We never want any family to feel surprised by this information, and we sincerely apologize if this wasn’t communicated clearly from the beginning. Transparency is incredibly important, and your feedback helps us continue improving how we explain the process.
We’re encouraged to hear that with time — and even some creative problem solving — she’s already showing brighter eyes, more engagement, and glimmers of trust. These early signs are meaningful, and it’s very common for older kittens to take several weeks or even months to fully settle into a new home and bond with their family.
