Had a phone call yesterday from a nice lady who said a guy was in the area and could give us a quote for roof installation. She gave me a code for a supposed government grant that was available. Guy came this morning on time and examined our loft, a gave me a quote of just over £3,OOO but wanted me to agree to the deal immediately, and wanted £1,000 deposit, and the work had to be completed within ten days Alarm bells started ringing, and I suspected a scam. I showed the guy out, I think his name was Jim with no problem, and did some checking. It semms he is an agent for Quality Home Solutions and it is a genuine company, but if they are, why to they want money straight away, without giving you tlme to think about it?

We were impressed with the surveyor. He was informative and polite. He seemed to be competent.
Before going ahead, we checked with our house insurer that installation would affect our policy.
Having decided to go ahead, the installation was done the following day. As far as we could tell the installation was done professionally. The installers were pleasant and cleared up well afterwards.
Overall, we were very impressed.

We had an initial survey by Steve Muir, who explained the process very clearly, and arranged installation the following week, in order to obtain the government grant.
The 2 workmen arrived early, and worked very hard, and were pleasant people.

Had a Initial phone call from a very pleasant lady who asked if someone could come to look at our loft insulation as a lot of the fibre glass products were not efficient and the product that they were offering would definitely keep the house warm, of course we have someone in your area.
Shortly after the first conversation I had a call of confirmation giving me the name of the surveyor and time
The surveyor arrived ahead of time seemed very pleasant seem to have a wealth of information well scripted, after looking in our loft he did some tests with a device that showed up the damp, were told this is the worst loft he had ever seen and you really need to get something done as the felt was wet plus mildew was on the top surface of the fibre glass.
This to us was scare tactics
The conversation became quite pushy always insisting that he was a independent surveyor and whether we took his advice or not didn’t matter to him as he still got paid
The surveyor, maybe a title the company gave him, really think that if you are in someone’s home you don’t use bad language, it seemed part of his vocabulary, didn’t hesitate using expletives. He also was not interested in getting my wife involved in the conversation with his back to her
I was also told that if we wanted to sell the the house it would be devalued, strangely we had our house for sale 2 years ago and the buyers did a extensive survey including the loft which didn’t show any problems
This company is like many others offering big discounts because they have vouchers which makes the customer think they are getting a bargain, even with 50%off the price is unattainable for most people
If and when I decide to change my insulation I will definitely make the choice myself who I employ

From the initial survey and report, the work was organised quickly and the installation team and admin staff kept in contact to advise me of the installation date and time. The installation was straight forward with no need for the stored items to be moved by me. The job was completed quickly with virtually no mess apart from a few drips of sealant on the loft floor. The team laid protective material on the stairs and vacuumed up afterwards. I was very pleased with the work and would recommend the company. John Jenkins

Excellent work, arrived on time, polite, nothing to much trouble, clean and tidy,no mess left behind, would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

We were very pleased with the work carried out by Quality Home Solutions. The men were very polite and courteous, they emptied boxes from the loft which were too heavy for us to move, and replaced them when the work was complete. They kept us informed at every stage, did exactly what we had been told to expect and tidied up after themselves. We now look forward to feeling the benefits when the winter arrives.

Quality home solutions carried out foam installation to our bungalow brilliant job done and now our home is much warmer and looking forward to saving on our electric and gas bills drop in the future thank you to all at Home solutions and the installation team for a great job

Let me be clear, I cannot yet comment on the quality of their work, although I will do so, hopefully tomorrow if/when they turn up.
Their salesman was knowledgeable, and appeared very fair and helpful. It was not high pressure selling. We booked an appointment for the work to be undertaken today (less than 48 hours later), with me to expect them to arrive between 9-10 am. However they did not arrive so I rang the company to be told they left a message on my phone yesterday to confirm the appointment, but as they could not get hold of me they cancelled. I have no missed calls for yesterday on my mobile and no messages on either my mobile or landline- in short someone appears to be lying and as this site is about TRUST I feel disappointed (having moved cars around for access, cleared the area and stayed in waiting for them). If they can prove they did call, of course I will apologize and take this review down...but if not, the saying goes, that trust, once broken, is not easily remedied.

Slightly pushy salesman tried to get us to sign up straightaway, but I refused on principle as we needed to discuss before coming to a decision. We decided not to go ahead for the following reasons.

1. The original phone caller gave the impression he was representing a government department. Untrue.

2. Salesman said loft spray insulation reduced or eliminated condensation. Two minutes on Google found a Which report which said that, because spray insulation blocks off every nook and cranny it reduces air circulation and can actually be the CAUSE of condensation leading to damage to roof timbers etc. Admittedly, air flow through roof vents leads to some heat loss, but it reduces condensation and is the price you have to pay.

3. Salesman said loft spray insulation would increase the value of our house should we wish to sell it. The Which report mentioned above stated that many surveyors will REDUCE the value of your house given the above-mentioned condensation issues.

4. Salesman said the average saving in fuel costs over one year would be £300. I calculated that it would take almost nine years to recoup this, and given that I'm 75, I might not be here in nine years!

Offer declined.

Salesman very knowledgeable , had it fitted about 4 weeks later my choice as i had clear a lot of stuff out of my loft !! So much so i had to leave some in but the guys that did the spray were really good , they covered everything with sheeting and took there time doing it , the spray foam has really made a difference in the temperature of the house and no drafts or damp issues either

We had our loft done by Quality home Solutions last week . The sales bloke Craig was very courteous and explained the benefits of having your loft properly insulated. We thought it was a good idea with all the news about Global Warming and CO2 emissions and now with the bad news about gas prices going up any help with reducing my heating bill is going to be good .
The 2 blokes that did the job were very good and tidy . It only took a few hours all in all we are very pleased with the job . I would recommend them .

Installation completed and friendly installers

All staff encountered were friendly and helpful. The surveyor called on Tuesday, the work was completed on Thursday. The fitters were amiable, worked well and cleaned up afterwards.

We had spray foam insulation applied to our roof on 1st July 2021. The two workmen who completed the job were both polite and helpful. the work was completed in much shorter time than I had expected. I look forward to noticing the difference as winter draws in both in comfort and savings on gas heating.

I have had Spray Foam insulation installed in the roof of my property.
The whole procedure was faultless from start to finish, the two fitters were very polite & helpful & cleared up what little mess they made.
I would have no problem in recommending Quality Home Solutions.

Following an approach by telephone, I was visited by the surveyor, as agent for the company, Quality Home Solutions, with a view to having loft insulation installed in my bungalow. Needing time to consider the work and the quoted price, I did not agree on the spot to sign up with the surveyor for the work but after careful thought contacted the company later to ask for the work to go ahead. Since the teams were in my area it was arranged rapidly for the work to commence within a few days. This unusual approach meant that some of the administrative processes like receiving a contract and "cooling off" letter were sent to me retrospectively.

The work was carried out very successfully on 2nd August 2021 by a very professional team who were courteous, hard working and respectful of my wife's disability. The work was carried out thoroughly and to a high standard and in a quicker time than I thought possible. This was evidenced by the images taken on an IPad and shown to us. I later had an opportunity the following day to view the work in the loft and I was very pleased.

The company office cooperated with me well retrospectively in dealing with the "admin catch-up"

All in all, although the cost was considerable, I consider it was a good deal that we will come to be glad we undertook in terms of a warmer home and hopefully reduced heating bills.

It is not a criticism, but the one surprising experience was the loud noise made by the compressor motor situated on our drive for the duration of the work. It would have been good to have had the opportunity to warn our neighbours in advance.

Explained benefits and risks comprehensively. Decided to go ahead, changed the installation date once without any issues. The installers arrived and were very clean and tidy, the installation itself was faultless apart from the fact it is incredibly noisy. Would highly recommend. Let’s hope our bills do go down!

we had been experiences some some discoloring of the ceiling paper in the small bedroom and was'nt sure how to cure it. two neighbors down the road have had the felt replaced and we thought we might have to do the same.out of the blue your firm phoned and ask if you could a survey, great!!
The surveyor arrived on time, what a nice man very friendly and at the same time very profeshional .we decided to go ahead and get the loft sorted .
The fitters arrived again on time and again two very pleasant men who told us what they were going to do and how long it would take. very impressed.
