Went to the washington branch spoke with some lovely members of staff Ian and Kelly about a tudor watch and they explained how its part of rolex and were extremely friendly and helpful

Lacking integrity
I visited Ramsden on 25/02/26 with some gold pieces I wanted to get rid of. The guy weighed the gold. Told me I would get £623 for 37gms. I found that to be shocking! Went on Hatton Gardens online and visited a couple other shops, all the quotes I received was well over £1000. Be fair with people! As a business place people should be able to trust you. I believe his name is Chris.

Ramsdens Northeast, do not sell your scrap gold to these people. 2nd Feb 26 they are offering £44 per gram for 18ct whilst onlne you can get at least £69. I understand businesses need to make a profit, but this is just taking the piss out of people.

Do not sell them your Gold!
Went in to enquire about selling Gold! Was told, they are only allowed to buy at £30 per gram. For context, the spot price at the time of asking is £105 per gram.
I honestly felt insulted - they were offering me almost 4 times less than spot price.
Surely this can't be allowed? I just thought about all the desperate people who would be going in for quotes!

Great customer service
This is the best shop I have been to great customer service from all the shop staff they are a asset to the company I been a good customer and I will keep using this store when I need it keep up the great work and the customer service guys and David is a great manger sometimes I need a little bit longer to pay for my loans and he gives me longer to pay David is a great manger and will be a loss when he leaves the store

Customer service was excellent, team went above & beyond
The customer service was excellent. There were two members of staff working and both were extremely polite and helpful and remained that way even when shop became busy at times. Suzie was our sales advisor and helped both myself and mum when we came in to enquire about the buy in service. We both left extremely happy. I’ve used this branch in the past for currency and despite moving to another area my mum and I decided to make a day out in Falkirk, very pleased we did, Suzie was very considerate and tactful when my mum was selling some of her jewellery due to her circumstances. We would not hesitate to shop here for new jewellery, holiday currency or even use the pawn service which we had never thought of.

Excellent service
Would recommend Ramsdens to all! They helped me when i was going through a bad patch & the help they gave me let me breathe again. They looked after my precious item until i was able to redeem the cost. Without their help i dont know what i would have done.

Peterlee Branch
I went into the Peterlee branch today looking for a necklace. A lovely server called Vick came to help me out as I couldn’t quite see what I was looking for. She was so helpful and took me to an iPad where she showed me some jewellery. She asked me exactly what I was after and gave some suggestions and I found the perfect thing. It is being ordered into the store for me to go and have a look at. She really went out her way to help, so I’m really happy.

Sell your gold anywhere else but here they offer nearly 50% less than scrap prices for non scrap jewellery! Luckily I didn't need the money just selling to buy more but I don't know how they get away with robbing people like that
