As a tech professional with a growing…
As a tech professional with a growing income, I found myself at a turning point. I had multiple income streams, a couple of properties, and a mix of investments, but keeping track of everything—from cash flow to tax implications across multiple K-1s and business interests—was becoming overwhelming.
Like many of my peers, I considered myself financially savvy. I had tried robo-advisors, self-service tools, and traditional wealth managers, but none provided the holistic, proactive approach I needed. Self-service tools required endless research and still left gaps, while traditional advisors followed the same outdated playbook: collect fees, allocate to a basic portfolio, and check in once a year.
What initially drew me to Range was their tax optimization strategy, but what I found was something far more valuable. From day one, my advisor took the time to truly understand my financial goals, lifestyle, and long-term vision before recommending anything. Instead of a cookie-cutter financial plan, I got a personalized strategy tailored to my situation.
Why Range Stands Out
✅ 24/7 Access to a Team of Advisors – I can message them any time and get thoughtful, personalized responses within 24 hours. It’s like having a financially savvy friend who actually knows my complete financial picture.
✅ Flat-Fee, Transparent Pricing – No AUM fees or commissions. Just a clear, straightforward pricing model that actually makes sense.
✅ Proactive Tax & Estate Planning – They’ve helped me optimize my tax strategy, explore real estate investing, and plan for intergenerational wealth—something I wasn’t getting from other advisors.
✅ A Platform That Works – Unlike traditional advisors, Range’s platform gives me a real-time, holistic view of my finances while still allowing for high-touch, human guidance.
✅ Comprehensive Financial Strategy – Instead of just reacting to immediate needs, I now have a proactive, long-term financial plan that includes investments, cashflow, estate planning, and risk management.
The Value & ROI
💰 Worth every penny. The tax strategy alone covered the cost of membership, but the peace of mind, clarity, and confidence in my financial future have been truly invaluable.
Looking back, I realize I wasn’t just looking for financial advice—I needed a true partner who could help simplify and optimize my increasingly complex financial life. Range has become that partner, giving me both the tools and expertise to feel completely in control of my financial future.
Highly recommend Range for professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone with complex finances who wants more than just a generic investment portfolio.
Pretty good. Worth the $$
We had a finance guy for about 8 years prior to finding Range. Although our portfolio flourished under his guidance, so did his pockets. Range’s subscription cost for a year is the equivalent of half of what he charged us in one of our accounts in a quarter… It was a no-brainer. We’re pretty risk averse and hands off investors. We know enough to understand that we’re in a good spot to stay the course, but truly could not be bothered to actively manage our portfolio. It’s nice to just email someone anytime we had questions and with their dashboards, we can really see everything in one place. Oh yeah and our Accountant retired so we signed up for their tax plan as well. Docking off a star because I don’t know if I’m still working with the same guy or some random member of the team. We are 6 months in and honestly it works for us.
The Total Personal Finance Solution
Range has been a welcome addition to our financial planning. As I have no formal financial education, we sought professional help once our net worth exceeded $500,000. We specifically wanted a flat, predictable, and transparent fee for a financial team with no conflicts of interest or long term commitments. Range proved to be just that.
Range provided advice to immediately increase investment allocation efficiency within our IRAs and 401(k)s. They also advised on debt payoff and savings account strategies. We quickly set up brokerage accounts through their partner custodian, Altruist. Despite its user interface simplicity, Altruist has proved functional and efficient, with accounts set up and transfers initiated the same day. Range’s managed brokerage account, Individual Retirement Account, and High Yield cash account that rivals most high-yield savings accounts are attractive for long-term investing.
From an efficiency standpoint, Range helped us identify areas of over-insurance, saving us unnecessary premiums, and advised on areas where more insurance was needed to protect our financial future.
Range’s financial data aggregator has totally changed our financial management. Previously, we used Mint.com and a spreadsheet, but Range’s user-friendly interface connects with every financial institution, providing a comprehensive view of our finances in real time. Budgeting, cash planning, and transaction management tools are invaluable. I’ve even identified fraudulent transactions before my financial institution flagged them.
Range also offers expert financial advice. They’ve guided us in purchasing a second property, a new vehicle, cryptocurrency, and private equity funds. The team provides considerations to help us make informed decisions.
However, Range’s service isn’t for those seeking a completely hands-off approach. It’s a collaborative space where clients are involved in education, decision-making, and executing their financial future.
Range’s comprehensive service has grown with our financial complexity over the past two years. We recently upgraded to the Platinum service for strategic tax planning, filing, and trust/wills setup. My wife and I highly recommend Range based on our experience since June 2023 and will continue as happy customers for the foreseeable future.
Next-Gen Wealth Management
Range is building the next-generation wealth management solution! I've been using Range since January 2024 and have been blown away by how great the product is and the service I receive on issues related to tax, estate planning, budgeting, investments, and more. In ten years, Range will undoubtedly be a household name, toppling the giants of today.
I look forward to this journey and helping them build the future of wealth management.
They are good at selling subscriptions
They are good at selling subscriptions, and if they delivered everything they say they would it would be a good deal, but they are very slow to respond as such it is impossible to capture the value they sell, it almost feels like they are stringing you along to keep you subscribed but never delivering the full value of what they sell. I already have a full time job, I don't need the hassle of chasing my financial advisor who is paid up front.
falls short Great concept great sales pitch
Great concept great sales pitch. The thing you sign up poof they’re gone no contact during the initial stages. I made it clear that I wanted some guidance before the end of the year for tax purposes. Finally said that I was clear for a call. Go to scheduleand I can’t get an advisor until. And I can’t get an advisor until after the new year. Wouldn’t be so bad but I signed up on November 30. They contacted me and said I’m ready for a call but again I can’t schedule one until next year.
Not good for complicated situations
Before I signed up I spoke with the salesman and explained that I didn't have a typical W-2 job and so my financial situation was a bit more complicated. I sent him my last two years tax returns which he forwarded to his tax team, and they assured me they could find savings. I signed up and it was over a month before I could set up a call. However, that call was just another sales call and nothing substantive was discussed. Finally, I was able to schedule a 30 minute session with a cpa to go over my docs. The call lasted about 2 minutes and it was clear this guy either didn't know what to do or there was nothing he could do for me. From certain things he said, I don't think he had actually reviewed the docs I sent. The day after the call that lasted just two minutes, I got an email saying they needed more docs even though I confirmed with the CPA that they had all the docs they needed. They didn't even specify what docs they were asking for. Despite marketing themselves as providing "customized" financial and tax planning, Range is set up to provide off the shelf advice. That might be helpful for people who have traditional situations, but then again, those people could probably get that advice with a very small amount of research.
Pylon has been a total game changer
Pylon has been a total game changer for how I manage my money.
Pylon is Amazing!
Pylon is amazing to use! It was easy to setup and connect my accounts, and provided a ton of useful tools to see all my investments and money management in one place. I also love the cash flow projections to help me plan out my future
I previously used tools like Intuit Mint and Wealthfront but the UI and feature bloat was a bit too much. Pylon is much cleaner and easier to use!
best on the market
I have used a number of wealth tracking applications over the year. None gives me as clear a picture of my net worth. Further no other application allows me to share my financial data with my service providers and family as easily as pylon.
Pylon has been great
Pylon has been great! It is growing rapidly with features and already has everything I could ask for!

Great financial tool that I recommend to anyone!
Pylon is a great tool to help get your finances in order and organized. The user interface is clean and simple.
I had reservations of using a website to aggregate my personal data but Pylons emphasis on user data protection took care of those concerns.
This is a great tool and I truly recommend it for anyone who wants/needs a tool to help organize their financial life

Pylon is great! A financial snapshot I can trust
Pylon is a game changer! I’ve tried a lot of platforms over the last several years but Pylon is the best when it comes to giving me the full picture of my financial situation. I am able to pull in all of my assets and liabilities in one clear snapshot. Super easy to get up and running with all of the integrations.
