Rave Coffee Avis 338

I consider myself a coffee snob as much as the next person…😜...but since treating myself to a high end bean to cup, I just haven’t been able to replicate the coffee shop flavour, despite having tried coffee-subscriptions from most of the online outlets (where the beans appear exactly the same whether mild or dark roasted), and even having had the machine replaced…. Until now, first bag of an old favourite monsoon Malabar from Rave, yes this is the one!! Finally, I have coffee shop quality coffee at home. Straight out the bag (roasted yesterday btw), the beans have that dark and slightly glistening appearance, bravo Rave 👏 will be setting up a two weekly subscription.

Rave was recommended to me by a friend I’ve drank coffee since I was a child I went on the app and done the quiz or whatever you call it it recommended coffees I drink coffee Black the 2 kilos of coffee came and it had zero taste as in zero this new trend of bull**** coffee making is a lot of rubbish I’d rather drink Nescafé than ever buy from here again now I was contacted and asked to tell why but it was pointless this maybe ok for new coffee drinkers but for ones who always drank coffee avoid it was tasteless and that’s no joke!!!!!!!!

Delivery and ease of ordering was ok.
The coffee was both excellent and horrible.
The Rwanda giro N had to be thrown away, it was the most foul tasting coffee ever. One of the others was borderline.
The profiles are wild and mystical. Treacle, black tea, cola cubes etc non of which I could taste.
Made on a Sage bean to cup machine that is used constantly and correctly, 6 coffees purchased, 2 were excellent, 2 good. Ans 2 bad. Not consistent enough for me.

Wow! Just got my big bag of Strong AF Rave coffee and…just wow. Not only is it smooth and delicious, it provides a great coffee experience. You can feel the natural freshness they rightfully boast about, not only in the taste but with that beautiful coffee after-effect. It’s incredibly refreshing.

As corny as it sounds, it’s almost like a spiritual experience but I’m on a coffee journey right now, trying different brands and Rave is the best one I have yet to taste, knocking everything else out of the park. I’m hooked. I will buy it again and again, if only at least as a benchmark of how coffee is supposed to taste and can gladly say goodbye to the supermarket junk I used to get.

And not only am I getting a genuinely high quality coffee I can rely on but it’s also ethically sourced, so I can pat my own back for contributing to all the good that brings to the world too.

We decided to try going decaf, having tried previously over the years several times and didn't find even 1 drinkable coffee. OMG Rave decaf 11 is life changing! It tastes great. Like a proper full caf coffee but even better! We're hooked. You have to try this stuff. And the customer service has been spot on too.

I can’t praise Rave coffee enough. I ordered on the 30th April and it was delivered the very next day. The coffee they produce is absolutely unbeatable. I’ve tried coffee from all outlets and nothing comes close.

I have been using Rave Coffee for the last 6 or 7 months now. I am on a decaf sucscripotion and their products are always consistently smooth, full of flavour and sent promptly.

Love their vibe, love what they stand for. Only wish we cold have abit more variety in their decaf range.

I've been using Rave for a few years now. I have never had any delivery problems or problems with quality. I have tried lots of different beans and obviously like some more than others but I have never had a dud batch.
Yes they are a bit more expensive than supermaket brands but the quality is generally better and more consistent so for me it's worth it.

I’ve dealt with this Company before and recently came back. I had a small issue which they took the time to put right and give me a satisfactory outcome.

Not better than your average Tesco coffee - they’ve spent good money on marketing and packaging (which was great). Bright yellow packet makes you feel you are buying something really good, but tastes quite average especially for this price.

Quite possible I had a bad batch given other reviews - but customer support were not helpful when issue was raised.

The only coffee company we will ever use.
We have all done it, order from all the different coffee companies for that first order discount or welcome offer. Well I did the same for Rave but unlike the other companies where I order once and move on, Rave has become the only coffee company we will use. They offer a great variety of superior coffee. They are reliable, reasonably priced and very quick to deliver. Love, love, love

Perfect coffee every time. Have been ordering from Rave for over 2 years now and they never disappoint. Subscription is easy to amend or cancel.

What a great place Cirencester is made even better by Rave Coffee, love their beans and did read some reviews the cafe staff were not the friendliest well my experience was different to those few people, exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff.

My first bad review for Rave coffee. Usually their coffee is Fantastic but the replacement coffee I ordered was so disappointing, I'm actually quite annoyed about it. I replaced the Kenyan coffee they had run out of for a light roast decaffeinated coffee called Colombia Finca Monteblanco which can only be described as the worst coffee I have ever tasted. It was more like a fruit tea than a coffee.
What made this annoying is I paid £5 extra for it.
While I understand why Rave could not give me a refund and kindly offered me a discount code for my next order, I feel I should warn others that if fruit teas are not a good substitute for coffee don't order this product it is an insult to coffee.
Sorry Rave, keep up the good work with your other awesome coffees.

Delicious coffee. BUT..... They don't do dark roasts. The claim of 5 coffee beans equals dark delivers what I would call medium roast. If you are used to buying dark roasts from elsewhere (especially Waitrose or Sainsburys) the Rave Coffee will disappoint. I have tried 5 different types of their 5 bean roasts and none is dark. Proper dark roasts will go through the second crack. Rave don't do this. So I have to use my stove top roaster to do this and I get fantastic coffee to my taste. The coffee that Rave roast is fine for filter and also espresso. But because it is not a dark roast you have to use more coffee (18g for an espresso/Americano 320 ml mug). So this is great if you want a caffeine kick but not for all day mugs of coffee. Having said all that whichever way you make it (and even don't roast it darker like me), it's probably the best coffee I have ever tasted: apart from that shop I went to in Bergen, Norway that won Barista of the year.

I've been a Rave customer since 2020, and it has always been my favorite coffee. Unfortunately, over the past year, no two bags of the same beans have been consistent. With every new bag, I have to adjust my coffee machine settings to get it right, resulting in wasting more than a third of the bag.

I'm giving one star because, with the last bag I received, after wasting half of it trying to dial in the right settings, the coffee still tasted horrible.

I emailed customer service to ask if anything had changed with the beans, and they replied that it was probably "a bad batch." To check if the issue was with my coffee machine, I tried beans from other brands, and they brewed perfectly fine.

I then ordered a new bag from Rave, and this time, the coffee tasted as it should.

So, thanks, Rave, for wasting customers' money—£38 for 1kg is not cheap—on "a bad batch."

I placed an order and on arrival discovered I received beans, not filter grounds (mistakes happen)! I was so impressed with how quickly Rave resolved their error. I messaged today via WhatsApp from their website explaining it was a valentines gift for my partner (which is tomorrow) within 3-4 minutes my shop app pinged, the correct order had been placed by Rave, next day delivery, a WhatsApp followed straight away with an apology! No faff with collecting the original order, no questions asked! If only all companies offered this service.

I've been using Rave for several years now, as they offer fantastic coffee delivered promptly at a reasonable price.
