I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled, and I am asking for this case to be escalated to someone senior who will actually review the full communication.

I have been a Raya member since 2019. I contacted Raya because the Raya+ features were not working properly for me, and after trying it, I asked to return to the Standard membership I had before.

At no point was I told that:

downgrading would result in my existing membership being cancelled;
I would lose access to my account;
I would no longer be able to restore my existing membership;
I would lose the membership conditions I had before trying Raya+; or
I would effectively have to start again as a new member.
None of this was communicated to me.

I was given a regret period and understood that I could return to the exact Standard membership I had before. I was also told that I would retain my Raya+ access until the end of the relevant billing period. At no point did anyone tell me: “If you do this, your existing membership will be terminated and you will have to start again.”

That is the fundamental problem.

I never asked Raya to cancel my membership. I asked to downgrade.

Now, when I try to restore my membership, Raya tells me that there is no membership associated with my information. I have been a member since 2019, and I have never requested that my membership be terminated.

The fact that Standard is now showing as 199 DKK is simply another consequence of what has happened. Before this, I had an existing Standard membership that I had consistently paid 89 DKK/month for years. I never agreed to terminate that membership and start again under completely different conditions.

What is particularly frustrating is that I have repeatedly explained this to Raya, and the responses from Lou and Pat have not actually addressed the issue I am raising. I keep receiving explanations about the subscription process, Apple, or current pricing, while the central question is being avoided:

Why was I never told that downgrading/refunding Raya+ would result in the termination of my existing membership and the loss of my previous membership conditions?

I was not informed. I relied on what Raya told me. And now I am the one being left without access to my account and expected to solve a problem I did not create.

I have now contacted Raya multiple times by email and Instagram and have received no proper resolution. The lack of response and the way this has been handled is extremely poor customer service.

I genuinely like Raya. I have been a member for years and have met many of my friends through the platform. That is precisely why I find this experience so disappointing. For a service that positions itself as a premium membership community, the way a long-standing paying member is being treated when there is a genuine issue with the subscription process is unacceptable.

I am asking for this case to be properly escalated beyond the previous support responses.

I do not want another generic explanation of how Apple subscriptions work. I want someone to review the actual communication, acknowledge that I was never informed that my existing membership would be terminated, and restore my membership and account on the basis of the membership I had before trying Raya+.

I should not have to keep fighting to regain access to an account I never asked to have cancelled.

Please have someone senior review this and provide an actual resolution.
