These guys are fantastic.

Obviously we are looking to buy a property in Portugal, and our solicitors strongly suggested that we get a building survey carried out.

We contacted Thomas and Matthew at short notice and they were able to visit the intended property and do their thing.

We initially requested a survey and written report, but there were so many faults with the property that Thomas suggested we just go for the visit and verbal. this not only helped us decided NOT to purchase the property, but it also saved some money.

These guys spoke with us throughout their visit. Advised, recommended and indicated faults/potential extra costs, which we would not have seen/noticed if they had not been on site.

I cannot recommend and praise enough. Thomas and Matthew are certainly the English Speaking Building Surveyors you need in Portugal.

Clear communication, high quality reports, a lot of expertise

We can not recommend Reabilitejo more highly. The patience and knowledge shared by Thomas and Matthew allowed us to narrow down from numerous properties (ranging from complete renovations to simple updates) to making an offer on a perfect fit property, within 10 days. Even though they did not look at every property in person, their quick responses to questions and property evaluations via photos and videos were above and beyond the purview of their contract. We have no doubt, we would not be in the wonderful position of soon to be, happy Portuguese home owners, without them.

We hired Thomas and Matthew to inspect our recently purchased home in Portugal, in order to uncover any current problems and also advise us on how to keep the property in great shape going forward. They spent a few hours going over the property in great detail, inside and out, explaining everything clearly and answering all our questions along the way. They are extremely knowledgable about all aspects of property construction and maintenance, including issues unique to Portuguese construction (such as moisture challenges). They then created for us a detailed and comprehensive report containing a summary of everything they discovered, along with recommendations for how to proceed in any areas of concern. We now have enough information to make intelligent decisions about how to prioritize and address the issues. In addition, Thomas and Matthew are lovely human beings and they have been a true pleasure to work with. We very much appreciate their responsive communication and high level of responsibility, care, and attention to detail. We highly recommend their services to anyone who wants to ease their mind about a prospective or already-purchased property.

We hired Thomas and Matthew to carry out a survey of a property we were looking to buy. They were professional, thorough and highly responsive from beginning to end. The types of survey and pricing were very clear and easy to understand. They scheduled the survey in very quickly and produced a very detailed report very shortly after the visit even though they had said there may be a delay due to work commitments. Thomas and Matthew have been great from start to finish. We did a full survey with them on a property, the report is very straightforward and to the point. Very thorough, highlights all the issues and provides solutions to each one. We also received a 40minute call to go through anything that we weren’t sure about. Sometimes when you read these type of reports they can seem overwhelming but the call definitely gave us a peace of mind. They also kindly sent us some contractors they’d recommend. Reasonably priced and all in all had a great experience with them. Definitely recommend!

Thomas and Matthew are excellent. Communication was both prompt and very clear throughout the process. They filled us with confidence and underlined why having a building survey is crucial when purchasing a property in Portugal. The report itself was detailed, thorough and clear. We then had an hour long video chat with Matthew to cover the major areas of the report and help translate the technical language of the survey. The report was published within a week and helped us make an informed decision about the property we intend to buy. I highly recommend their services.

We hired Reabilitejo to examine a property and partially-finished home (20+ years old). Thomas and Matthew were friendly and punctual. They talked through some obvious issues (during a few hour site visit) in person with us and then we waited for the written report with details.

The report was very thorough and detailed. Along with some information they'd provided in person, the report helped us realize the property was going to be too much of an investment for us. So we passed on it.
