My whole experience with Real time…

My whole experience with Real time relocation was excellent from the initial call to the move itself and boy with having a 3 month old and 2 stories they were definitely life savers!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Ive been blessed the past few years to…

Ive been blessed the past few years to be involved in Real estate. My family finds rundown home and we remolded them. Some we just flip and sale, others we keep. We try extremely hard to put lower income single parent in as many as we can actually afford. Today my normal moving company left me high and dry. After making a few calls I got in touch with Real Time Relo. I COULD BE Happy !!!!!! The weather was horrible, the job wasn’t the cleanest honestly. The guys they sent just at the last minute, like same day just killed it. They are definitely the only company I’ll be calling

Terrible overall experience

Terrible overall experience
Our initial quote (to move from FL to RI) was ~$3700, this was a little low in my opinion (which should have been the first red flag) but we decided to move forward with them. We gave them a rough idea (over the phone) of what we had and they said they would contact us prior to the move. They contact us again to send them a detailed list of items we have. The Wednesday before the move (we moved on Saturday) we get a call from them saying our quote is now ~$6700 as we underestimated what we had before. I had no problem with this as this sounded more reasonable and in line with what other companies had quoted us.
The day of the move they gave us a 2 hour window of when they would be there (I believe 8-10am?). They were late. We did have 2 pickups (one in Orlando and one in Gainesville and my girlfriend (who was in Orlando) was not happy with the movers. She said they continuously stopped to take smoke breaks and were just generally not the most professional. When they got to me in Gainesville they were able to pickup my stuff and I personally had no problem with them (the movers). They did add on fees pretty continuously throughout the process. Their website says "flat fees," that's nonsense as they do charge extra for every flight of stairs (to them one flight = 7 stairs @ $75/flight). I believe they also charged extra for every 100ft or so they had to walk to their truck.
Once everything was loaded they said we went over our allotted feet. Our quote of $6700 was for 1000 metric feet. We ended at 1300ft. Our quote now went from $6700 to about $9400 and change. At this point our initial quote has tripled and we understandably upset by this. We contact John (the owner) who just sent us back numbers that did add up to what we were being charged but when we questioned where these numbers came from it ended with radio silence and contact (essentially their HR). Unfortunately for us they already had our stuff and we were at their mercy. Fine, I sign the papers and we get to the part about insurance. There are 2 options, 1. they cover everything (lost/damaged goods) but of course, that's another added fee (a certain % of what we think its worth or something along those lines) or 2. 0.60 cents per pound of good. We went with option 2 as the mover said "its never an issue." Fine
When the movers get to RI (about 7-10 days) one guy shows up with the truck and starts unpacking. There was other people stuff in the truck and he put their mattress right in a puddle. I was horrified for those people who weren't even there. And when he started taking boxes out of truck most were absolutely smushed, smashed, open, chewed on what ever you want to say they were not in the condition we gave them in. Many things were broken (suitcase was smashed) and worse was the peloton bike screen was smashed. The mover said "file a claim." Someone else showed up to help the moving guy about an hour after he got there. Ended up leaving at 11pm (got there at about 6pm).
We filled a claim (remember that insurance I mentioned earlier), for $3k. After their 3rd party got back to us they offered us ~$132 total "based on weight of items broken (smashed)." The peloton screen alone is $500....
Apparently if you move long distance they offload your stuff in a ware house and just beat the living daylights out of it.
Only reason they get 1 star is because customer service was friendly (I assume she deals with this type of situation often).
Please do not make the same mistake we did and do NOT go with these guys.

I asked for 2 trucks

I asked for 2 trucks. Many things the main driver told me weren't true. He and a young guy drank all the beer and wine coolers. They left things and furniture inside the house so I had to rent the biggest uhal trailer and also a large Hertz van. The payment for mover and driver alone 600. The furniture is in wrong room and not put together like it was in house

We are saddened to see this review as these statements are not true and would like to state the facts. To ensure quality moves Real Time Relocation performs an inventory review with all customers approximately five days prior to the scheduled move date. Upon calling the customer to do the inventory review knowing that we require a minimum 5 business day notice of date changes, customer pushed out her move and Real Time Relocation waived a date change fee. At this time the customer stated that she would be downsizing her inventory. We explained to the customer to keep a record of all inventory changes so we may make those changes during the next inventory review, which again would take place approximately five to three days prior to the scheduled move date. Upon calling the customer to do a second review of inventory customer pushed out the inventory review four times. Once we were able to complete the inventory review we had the customer at a full dedicated truck which was explained to her and she signed for the changes accepting and understanding the terms of the estimate. Upon completion of this review customer stated that she was worried about being able to afford the last payment for the physical move. The move was scheduled for 04/29/22 in which Real Time Relocation showed up with an entire empty 26 foot dedicated truck for her as stated and agreed to. Upon arrival customer was no where near ready to move, over 95% of the house was not packed and there was much more inventory there than what the customer provided us. At this time it was clear the move needed to be rescheduled and another inventory review needed to be completed. As a courtesy Real Time Relocation did not charge the customer for expenses that the company lost by going out there, gas and labor for the crew. Another inventory review was completed and the customer was upgraded to two dedicated trucks which was re dispatched to her pickup location on 05/02/22 with an agreed delivery date of 05/03/22 which the customer was aware of and signed for. Upon arrival the second time the customer was still not ready, as a courtesy our crew packed most of her boxes for her and no additional labor hours where added. Two trucks where in fact used and sent to the customers house on 05/02/22. On the scheduled delivery date of 05/03/22 we called the customer to make her aware of the eta of arrival for delivery, at this time the customer stated that she had not yet left her pick up location and hung up on our crew. Our office reached out to the customer to arrange a new delivery date. Customer arranged for delivery to take place on 05/04/22 with her realtor to be there, it was at this time Real Time Relocation was advised that the customer did not have legal possession of her new home which is why the realtor had to be there. Due to this it was arranged and agreed that Real Time Relocation would be placing the goods in garage with assistance of the realtor whom allowed the customer to place goods in the garage without yet having legal possession of the new home. Since the customer was not going to be at the delivery location we allowed her to pay her delivery balance using a credit card which we typically do not allow but allowed as an effort to help the customer. The goods where offloaded with the realtor present, not the customer. On 07/08/22 we received notice from the bank that after this whole ordeal, and waiving many many expenses the customer disputed her payments with Real Time Relocation. Real Time Relocation provided this customer with the move she paid for and made many accommodations, and waived many fees that should have been applied. With this being said we are very saddened to see this review as we try to provide our customers with an exceptional move and great experience.

Dishonest Practices

The personal I initially communicated with was very personable and offered great customer service. Unfortunately, 3 days before my move, someone from the company called for a quality control check, and told me my items more than doubled (despite me sending them pictures of my house and going over all major items). There is no way this was even possible. They tried to charge me $1300 over my initial quote. They also said my deposit was non-refundable after the first 72 hours. To top it off, the QC rep tried to pressure me into accepting the new quote, emphasizing that i would lose my deposit. I definitely feel I was scammed.

Update- I guess this is how the company responds to someone feeling deceived by their practices. I have screenshots of the incoming and outgoing calls, as well as the contract and bank statements showing the deposit that was taken out. Very disappointing to see how they handle things.

Full Service at its finest

Full Service at its finest. Jake and the guys were on time, respectful, and took really good care of my stuff. I hate moving... like most people... so hiring agood team that would make this not stressful for me and my wife was super important to me. The delivered the next day and everything was in great shape. I could not recommend them more highly. If I could give more stars I would. I promise if you hire these guys you will not be disappointed. Their price may be a little higher than other quotes you are getting, but it's worth it trust me. I've been the cheap buyer in the past and always regretted it.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS and THANK YOU AGAIN!!! Love having movers i trust in my backyard!!!

Honestly one of the best experiences…

Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had with a company- let alone a mover. Picture perfect. They quoted me accurately and on moved day the movers were a dream. Same day delivery for a 3 bedroom house with all the packing was fantastic, even if it took till nightfall.

Excellent Service

Real Time Relocation did an excellent job on my family’s move. We were very stressed and had many companies to choose from.
