After two chaotic lessons via other companies I was very lucky to bump into Juliet Jones (south east London region) on the street outside my house as she was putting away the L sign from her car.

After a brief chat she directed me to book lessons with her via Red, and from that point on I was in safe hands.

Juliet is methodical, patient, knowledgeable and reliable. The lessons were clearly structured and delivered. With a big wait for tests she also gave great advice on how to space the lessons to keep confident and well practiced whilst factoring in cost.

Thanks to Juliet’s great instruction I passed my test first time. I highly recommend her!

I passed my test 1st try with the instructor Jason Meaning. Having previously had a bad experience from a different instructor he made me feel confident and at ease when driving. His inside knowledge of test routes and the way examiners work enabled me to fully prepare for my test and be calm when taking it.

I passed my test 1st attempt today after great help and support from Serigne. He was such a calm and relaxed instructor. After a bad experience with a previous instructor he really made me feel at ease and developed my skills quickly. Thank you Serigne, I couldn't have passed 1st time without you.

I had a great experience learning to drive with Niall. I was initially very nervous, but he was patient, supportive, and explained everything clearly. He really helped build my confidence and improve my skills each lesson.

My Oxford based ADI Shalena Rahman and her husband Abdul were absolutely fantastic! They are such lovely people and incredibly welcoming, I had a bit of a rough experience with a previous instructor and I went into lessons with my confidence broken. But these two completely turned that around and made me feel so much more confident about myself and my driving. I was able to focus better, enjoy it more and excel in my skills dramatically! They are two of the kindest and most understanding people I have ever met and I would seriously recommend them to anyone else. I’m very happy to say that I passed first time and I put all of that up to these two. I cannot thank them enough and I wish them all the best!

Website is fantastic, great booking system, but very disappointing service. Instructor allocated to my son was very good for the first few sessions but last Saturday he was obviously having a bad day and ended up shouting at my son which really knocked his confidence. I’m not paying £90 per two hour session (super high for the market) to have someone shout. I called up to change the instructor and was told nobody could be recommended, it was “pot luck”. I said “is there not a scoring system from students? So the ones with the highest ratings can be selected?” No. I asked for a woman in that case as they’re often more patient and empathetic. Only one female instructor operating in my area and she doesn’t do weekends. I got a refund and have signed up with AA which was cheaper and just as efficient online. I’m really disappointed overall. I wouldn’t recommend Red.

Couldn’t fault my instructor Mick Horsley throughout the entire experience of learning to drive with him and passing my test. Patient, kind and an excellent teacher.

Red has a few drawbacks: the app just links to the website so isn’t very helpful. The digital charge and booking fees are steep and occur every time you buy lessons. HOWEVER it is a really reliable service and the instructor in my area (SE4) was absolutely fantastic. Michael Kodwiw was calm, patient, efficient, always punctual, generous, accommodating and so brilliant. He helped me pass my test in Bromley with just two minors! He went above and beyond, can’t recommend him highly enough!

I got passed with red instructor antony gray based at dorchester . Lessons for 24 hrs become very useful to pass on my first attempt.He is very friendly,co-operative and supportive to overcome nerves during lessons.

My instructor Erigert helped me pass my test at Brentwood in a week! he was very patient and made sure i understood the manoeuvres before moving on.

This company feels like a complete scam. Trading Standards are investigating them, which says a lot about how they operate. There are far cheaper and much better driving schools out there—do yourself a favour and avoid this one at all costs.

I had a great experience with my instructor Adam Standage. He explained everything clearly, and helped to build my confidence driving. I made consistent progress, and never felt rushed or pressured. He helped me pass my test and I enjoyed my lessons.

Red Driving School was the best decision for me in terms of package of hours offered but also because of my driving instructor Amanat Ullah who has had so much patience with me, his availability and flexibility on the hours, always in time for the lessons, I couldn’t have done it without his excelent teaching and dedication.
I would definitely recommend Amanat Ullah and Red Driving School.

My experience with RED Driving School was unfortunately not a positive one overall, although it did start well.

I began lessons during a difficult time as I was pregnant and later classed as high risk. At the start, my instructor was helpful and the lessons were going positively. I was advised by the instructor to always give at least 48 hours’ notice if I needed to cancel lessons, which I followed.

When my situation changed, I cancelled a lesson within the required timeframe due to medical reasons. Despite this, there was a dispute regarding payment afterwards, and communication with my instructor became difficult from that point on.

As a result, my lessons did not continue and my progress was disrupted. My theory test eventually expired, meaning I had to restart the entire process with a different driving school.

Although it was a frustrating experience at the time, I later went on to complete my training elsewhere and successfully passed my driving test.

I started my lessons with Earl back in October 2025. After starting lessons over 10 years ago and stopping when relocating to London, it was time to finally pass.

Earl was a patient, calming and an attentive instructor who put me at ease right away! His knowledge was valuable and integral to my learning journey. The 10 year wait was worth it, I passed 1st time and simply could not have done it without him. I couldn’t not recommend Earl and RED driving highly enough. Thank you.

Decided to wash his car before my son's test not acceptable,also shouting at him whilst learning,my son oliver actually asked him why you shouting at me.
Really not acceptable and wasting you car on route to the test???
