Don't be fooled by the marketing!
Refresh Rennovations is nothing more than a marketing scam. They claim to pair people with 'some of the industry’s most experienced renovation builders', but this could not have been further from my experience.
Refresh is a franchise business that uses flashy marketing to lure you in. As a franchisor they have a moral and legal obligation to properly select, train, and supervise their franchisees. In my case they did none of that but rather paired me with a completely dishonest and incapable builder, that they ultimately kicked out of the network, taking no responsibility for the damage that they caused.
Make no mistake - you are signing a contract with an independent builder, not Refresh. So when things go wrong, their response is 'you signed the contract dummy, your problem, nothing to do with us, go away and tell someone who cares'.
I deeply regret believing that Refresh was a professional business that I could trust. Ironically, I chose them to try and mitigate the risk of working with a dodgy builder, but ultimately that's what they delivered.
So the best I can do now is to share my honest experience in the hope that I can save another victim from being sucked into the Refresh scam.
