We had a pretty bad experience with Richdale unfortunately. Our sofa was reasonably priced & looked OK when it arrived but within an hour a terrible chemical smell built up in our room that gave both of us quite a bad headache. To cut a very long story short we ended up being told to move it to a better ventilated room (we put it in the garage) where it stayed for almost 2 months (We had no sofa for this whole time) until eventually Richdale came back & replaced the foam in all the cushions, the smell disappeared pretty much immediately. Based on our experience I would have given one star but the sofa is now OK/fit for purpose so I've given 2 stars

Richdale sofas reupholstered our dining chairs, to a high standard at a very competitive price, and we are delighted with the result. They provided all the materials required, including the fabric at a very low cost, because it was left over from a bigger job. Richard was very pleasant to deal with and always answered emails promptly. He also kindly gave us the last bit of left over fabric, just in case we have any accidents in the near future. We would definitely recommend Richdale sofas and will use them in future.

We recently purchased a new sofa from Richdale Sofas in Ilkeston, and the whole experience from start to finish was seamless.

From the moment we walked in, there was no pushy sales approach at all, just friendly, helpful staff who made us feel comfortable and valued. Nothing was too much trouble, and all our questions were answered clearly.

The sofa arrived well protected, covered and in a padded sleeve, and everything was carefully checked before the delivery team left. They even went the extra mile and helped us put our old sofa into our car, which was hugely appreciated.

We’re absolutely delighted with both the service and the sofa, which is of high quality and good value for money, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Richdale Sofas to friends and family.

Got recommended from a work colleague, went to have a look and found just what we wanted ... Very relaxed and was dealt in an understanding and polite manner , nothing was too much , explained what specifications we needed and was made exactly how we wished and fits what we were after , the choice is amazing from fabrics to designs ... I will definitely return when we want another sofa for the next room on our project ....

We came across Richdale Sofas and Rachel invited us to look round.
At last our search was at an end as we found what we had been searching for. The Jessica Sofa is beautiful, sumptuous and looks absolutely stunning in our sitting room. Not only did we purchase a sofa and chair, we also had our wing chairs and dining chairs covered in the same fabric.
The service we received was exemplary and nothing was too much trouble. Even the delivery happened when we were told it would. Richard delivered it with a colleague and we were delighted. What a wonderful experience buying a sofa was through this company and we would recommend Richdale Sofas to everyone.

Rachael and Richard gave me the best customer experience anyone could ask for. I asked them to do so many custom orders and they were so quick to respond and open to ideas for me and really keen to help me with some crazy things I thought up. Everything came out so well and I am delighted with the 2 sofas I bought from them. Highly highly recommend this family company.

Had a corner group,dining set and carpet from here,Customer service is second to none,they arranged everything to come on the same day.Carpet fitted in the morning and furniture in the afternoon.Everything is beautiful and the whole experience was stress free.Wouldn’t go anywhere else.Definitely recommend Richdale

A fantastic local company with excellent service, quality & value for money. Our 1st sofa from them was so well made that 11 years later we asked them to reupholster it. Really pleased with the fabulous ‘new’ sofa. Their range of carpets is also excellent & again great value for money. Don’t go anywhere else.

For the last seven months I’ve enjoyed my wonderful corner unit sofas with electric footrest and it still looks brand new. These talented people also reupholstered my favourite box stool to match. I went for years wanting a suitable sofa but was distrustful after a previous bad experience. Now I can tell everyone - this is British craftsmanship, by a British company, serving customers and British industry!

We had our carpet from Richdale Sofas, great, friendly, professional service. Highly recommended.

I discovered Richdale after trying to find a company to repair and re-cover one of our leather sofas. We didn’t want to throw it away as we love the look of it, it is one of a pair and we didn’t want to add to landfill. We also did look for a new sofa on the internet, but didn’t like any of the styles, they were expensive and we would have had to buy a matching pair.
Richdale were able to match the leather style and colour using a vast catalogue of available leathers, repair the broken arm rest, replace the padding and re-cover in a matching leather using the original leather pieces as a template. The result is amazing, with seam position and shape identical, including the original zips that attach cushions to back of sofa. We are so impressed with their handiwork and very happy to now have our old sofa looking like new at a cost that was less than a replacement. Would highly recommend Richdale to anyone thinking of giving their existing sofas and chairs a new lease of life (see Google review for before and after photo)

This is the third time that we have used Richdale Sofa’s. We always go back to them for our furniture and they surpass expectations every time! I give them an idea and they turn it into reality. We have only ever had bespoke pieces from them. They are really helpful and knowledgable and customer service is a 5* experience. I would always go back to them. We recently had a sofa recovered which they made for us 10 years ago and they made us a new footstool to go with it. We couldn’t be happier. Thank you Rachael and Richard.

Couldn’t be happier with my bespoke two seater sofas. Brilliant pattern matching on a very bold and busy design, arm pleats matched perfectly and some of the best sewn piping I’ve seen. Excellent service and attention to detail through out. Would definitely recommend them.
