RISE Research Avis 

My name is Oliver Patel from The Bronx High School of Science. Over the past few months, I've been working closely with the team at RISE to construct a research paper focusing on the intersection of engineering (specifically civil engineering) and psychology.

Collaboration with my mentor helped me better understand how to organize my thoughts into a cohesive thesis that I could back up with evidence and research. The guidance and feedback I received throughout the project made the research process much easier and friendly to navigate.

Overall, this was a truly valuable learning experience in a number of ways, and I would recommend RISE to anyone looking to gain hands-on research experience without having to make huge commitments on time and money.

I've been enjoying my experience with RISE so far. My name is Daniel Karapetian, and I'm a student at Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School.

I'm currently researching "Medicine" with the guidance of Naveed Saleem. My writing coach, Saniya Irfan, has been incredibly helpful in improving the clarity and structure of my work, while Samrddhee Pathare has always been responsive and made sure everything runs smoothly.

Hi! My name is Sheina Askari, and I study at Taft High School.

I'm currently working with Valeria King as my research mentor and Rishika Kaushal as my writing coach. So far, my research project is progressing well, and I've learned a lot throughout the program.
As a student, I receive a lot of support and guidance through this program, and I never feel unclear as to what I need to do. This program has allowed me to dive extremely deep into the topic I'm interested in, and it will definitely be a big help for college and beyond.

My mentor was very good since she helped guide me through the essentials on how to do a literature reveiew, and the program also recommended a decent yet realistic publication that suits the topic of my paper. However, certain people of this program could be a little more flexible with their time slots.

Both my mentor and writing coach are extremely helpful and gave me valuable feedback throughout the research process, helping improve my research skills.

As a high schooler, its hard to publish without knowing where to look or paying as much as what feels like college tuition to other companies that promise and are unable to publish your research. However, RISE has helped me be able to figure out what and where to publish my research, which was good especially given that in the criminal justice/humanities field it is often hard to publish research. My mentor, writing coach, reviewer, and publication team have helped me so much on my journey! Thanks, RISE!
