When you buy into a company, you also buy into its organizational ethics and Management layer. Whilst newly appointed by Insight Partners, Rithum CRO is untrustworthy and predatory behavior reported in industry. Why would you want to buy from a company with these values?

Terrible! Any other provider is a good choice.

Terrible! They never admit a mistakes, never compensate and customer service is painful.

If their system goes down for 4 days… no compensation for lost sales and extra staff needed

If they make a mistake which results in lost sales on markets and you can prove it.. good luck getting a dollar.

They also put their fees up by 4% each year.

Save your self the time, cost and pain, choose anyone else. It will be the best choice you ever made!

Beware

Beware, "Rithum accounts for all the GMV that is pulled into the platform which does include cancelled orders"
We had over 700 cancelled orders do to an integration issue with a new marketplace and Rithum billed us for those orders.

Powerful tool. Terrible Customer Support

Powerful tool. Customer service is absolutely useless.

Have had two projects with ChannelAdvisor/Rithum. Developers on my team were excited because the tool would help managing catalogs across many channels and can make it was to intro to other marketplaces.

Unfortunately, the two sets of project managers, onboarding managers and account managers I've worked with have been so useless it's not worth using the tool since it takes so much effort to make any progress on the support side.

They have no business sense, or strategic thinking.
They are essentially plumbers that work in customer service. They have the scripts they follow, but can't address any nuance or strategic level thinking. I hope another company can recreate this tool and deliver an assemblance of effective customer service.

Everytime I send an email they respond with chide, rude remarks which I don't understand because any issues that arise is due to their failure to give effective guidance. The reason people pay for onboarding is to have guided support. Regrettably we could have saved all the money by just referring to the onboarding documents because it's taking the same amount of time and effort on the client side.

This company is a nightmare

This company is a nightmare! Avoid them at all costs. They make big promises but delivered nothing... for 9 months straight. We even had to hire someone to do the job they promised to handle! Now they're coming after us for $20k. Absolutely wild.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear—plenty of other suppliers out there. Seriously, look elsewhere, you'll be better off.

But if you're stuck and have no choice... make sure you have a lawyer check their contract and only pay them based on actual results!

You will lose money if you sign up with them

-You will have a major issue MONTHLY.. I am serious. A New unique and costly issue.. every month whcih will take months to fix and other times over 6 months.

-The system is old, broken, and full of serious bugs that they can not even fix or understand.

-Commonly, your products will be delisted due to these issues, and it takes weeks for them to fix it.

-You will never be compensated for their mistakes.
Management is just as arrogant and ineffective as customer service.

-Integrations with markets only work 90% of the time, and you will constantly find issues that take ages to fix while you lose money.

-Salespeople outright lie; upper management are just as bad and treat you with contempt.

-Customer support is just as bad; it takes several emails to get them to do something, and always at least 2 emails for them to even begin to answer the question.

-Account manager can only apologies as they know how unfair and bad it is but can not do anything.

-They are one of the most expensive options available.

-Their contracts lock you in for 12 months with exit penalties regarldess of them failing in their end of the agreement.

Seriously RUN it was the worst choice signing up with them. They are also one of the most expensive options, anything else would have been better.

*Rithum responded below, Ofcourse not saying they can do better or acknowledge well know issues but to say I am not a customer. I very much am but also know they would resort to legal threats and target my account if they did.

So Many things that are negative

So Many things
1.WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT - I was yelled at and demeaned by 2 different project managers
2.Shipping MODULE IS AWFUL
3.Set up was not good and difficult and I used to build databases so I know what Im doing
4.Expensive for the amount of support and help and difficulty
5.JUST ALOT OF BAD THINGS AND THEN A CONTRACT THEY WONT LET YOU OUT OF EVEN IF YOU ARE DEMEANED AND TALKED DOWN TOO AND ITS OBVIOUS IT DOESNT WORK FOR YOUR BUSINESS

We are a large seller with 30k+ SKUs in our catalog. Rithum makes our data and catalog management scalable and efficient.

Great help for small (one-man) business

After a well-supported onboarding/training with setup of the environment and going through the process of listing on a marketplace (with calls once/twice a week), I was able to repeat the process for other marketplaces and languages/locations/accounts.

The extra revenue is more then significant, but my main win/goal was to standardize my processes and to be able to connect the new marketplaces to the different DC’s (in an automated way) that I already used. That saved me a huge amount of time not having to handle/updating the orders myself.

Support is online, quick in responding, but downside of not being able to chat is that sometimes things get lost in my translation (or explanation). In that case the account manager can be called to correct that for me.

Currently active in 12 countries and appr 25 marketplaces and waiting for more VAT numbers to come in and expand further.

Channel Advisor / Rithum Experience

I have leveraged Channel Advisor(Rithum) for years to manage product feeds and handle some management of paid media for a couple of organizations where I have been employed. They are typically very responsive and extremely fair anytime an issue comes to light. I recommend them highly to anyone looking for a partner in this space.

Find another solution

We have contracted with them for Rithum's Channel Advisor platform. Stay away from them. They promise things they have no experience with. They are unable to deliver what they say their system can. They list marketplaces they integrate with and then come back and say they have never integrated with them. We have lost an entire month with them. Will be seeking compensation from them.

There are many other options in the market.
