Cute shoes, AWFUL customer service
I purchased a pair of the sneakers at the end of September. Paid for express shipping 2-3 days, they didn’t ship for at least 5 days after that. Then FedEx calls me to say my package arrived empty with no shoes inside, and Rothy’s told them to destroy the package. So I call Rothy’s, they say they have no proof they sent that request to FedEx and I have to obtain proof the package arrived empty. Well FedEx couldn’t give me that. The Rothy’s CS reps were rude, didn’t listen to me at all, and shooed me off the phone. I ended up sending an email and got a response that if I still didn’t get my package 14 business days after the shipping they could file a missing package claim with FedEx. So I reached out again via chat and finally got a rep with a brain who decided I was eligible for a refund or replacement. I really wanted the shoes but didn’t wanna risk another package debacle so I went with the refund. Finally got it resolved after WEEKS of contacting them. The customer should not have to jump through hoops for an issue like this. Needless to say I’ll never order from them again based off this experience and reviews I’ve read about their shotty CS. I only gave 2 stars because I finally ended up getting refunded.
The shoe looked nice out of the box
The shoe looked nice out of the box. Looks okay from the side from the mirror, not great. Fits a little odd-lumpy from above. Not as comfortable as you are led to believe from the cheesy articles on "the best white sneakers" searches, etc. A lot of money to spend for something that doesn't fit perfectly or have a really cushy-snug foot bed. But the tipping point for returning them was the tongue wasn't well secured far enough to the top of the shoe, so I couldn't just tie them loosely and slip them on with the help of a shoe horn, without the tongue pushing way down inside the shoe - a huge aggravation! It always required sitting down and using two hands to put them on. I sent them back. I'll stick with my Hokas (even Hokas require an insole replacement) and whatever else I can slip on while I'm standing up on my way out the door!
Amazing fit!
I can’t comment on customer service. I read reviews and ordered a size 9 when my normal is 8 1/2x. I LOVE them! I have a wide foot and these don’t bother either foot I’ve had a bunionectomy on. The negative reviews seem a bit harsh because all shoes fit differently. If these don’t work for you return and move on. I purchased the flat I ocean blue as my first Rothy. I’ll be ordering more.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. These shoes cut into the heels creating scars and they stink to high heaven. The hype and reviews you read are all from paid PR. They are defective and Angela at customer service says she can do nothing about it. I bought 5 pairs! She told me to recycle them. Do not buy!!!
This company is horrible
This company is horrible. I bought some men’s shoes and at first, they were great. After 1 week they got a little dirty. No problem because they are washable. These shoes are made from a petroleum based recycled plastic and dirt will be attracted. They are impossible to Clean. Customer serve is horrible. Don’t waste your money on these over priced paper weights.
Not Comfortable
I think for the amount of money we're paying, a lining should be put in the front so the toes aren't scraping on the canvas. I have cheaper shoes with built in toe liners so I can wear them without socks.... Isn't that the point with flats? Not comfortable!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Slow shipping and no apologies about it. No discounts or help to expedite shipping is offered. For this high price point, service should be much better.
This company is shameful!
This company is shameful. They use false advertising on the website to say when your order will arrive in a date range. It also says shoes ship from the warehouse same day or next day. I based my shipping choice on this information and paid extra for Standard Shipping because I needed them in time for a trip. After three days with no shipping confirmation, I web chatted and called them to say that my shoes could no longer arrive in time for my trip based on the shipping I chose. I asked if I could change to expedited shipping to get them before I left. They said "No" and also, "No" I cannot cancel my order.
Great! So you left me high and dry and don't even care? Don't give them your business they do not care about their customers at all.

Bad fit, not comfortable, poor value for price
Bought Flats after admiring them on someone and being drawn in by the manufacturer mission. Was on a chat with a representative on the website and was told to size up for better fit.
I was disappointed by the fit ( too large), total lack of arch support and even darker color than advertised. Wore them without and with arch support. Gave me blisters on each occasion. Feet got tired. Not comfortable.
For the price totally not worth it. I’d expect a large percentage charity donation to make them at least worth the expense. Just advertising recycling does not do it for me since there are a lot of other recycling business out there.

Wish I had read the reviews ahead of time… Rothy’s is a terrible company. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes during their sale event. I received one. After a few days I contacted them to see when the next one would be arriving. They then informed me the other pair is on back order and will not be filled. Ever. They never contacted me to tell me this. They then offered me. Gift card. And when I wanted a return had to escalate it to the management team for approval. I spent over an hour via text chat and then talking to a person and still don’t have the shoes or a refund and will need to follow up in 24-48 hours. Never again. This company is terrible.
Easily breaks and absorbs smells
I thought I was the only one with this opinion...but reading this, I had a common experience (for context, I never give reviews, I just would have wanted to know this before purchasing).
I bought a pair and within three wears, the sole peeled off the bottom of the shoe. They sent a replacement (and it arrived quickly) but I've had problems with them too. I didn't even bother reaching out because I don't want a third pair of broken shoes haha.
Maybe TMI but they also smell SO BAD SO QUICKLY. I don't typically have problems with this so it's weird to me. I tried washing them and it didn't help.
If they were 40$, I would give them three stars. For 150$? I wish I could give zero stars.
Buyer beware: shoddy shoes, high price
Echoing the stories told here: Rothy’s has a quality control problem and unresponsive customer service. Buyer beware because you could end up with a pair of $165 shoes that start to disintegrate after a couple of months of infrequent wear. I went from being thrilled about the style and fit to being horribly disappointed. Got a pair of black loafers, loved them, wore them lightly (mostly in the house over the last couple of months — looking forward to wearing them out and about once the weather got warm). I’ve probably worn them 30 times — both the uppers and soles still look new — EXCEPT I looked down a couple of weeks ago and noticed a hole in the side. Not in a place that gets any wear or pressure on it — just random, on the outer edge about halfway up my foot. When I googled this problem I found that it is actually a known problem — seems to be a manufacturing defect. Even though I’ve had the shoes for longer than the 30 day return period, I contacted Rothy’s. I spoke to Hillary and a supervisor named Liam and they were completely unwilling to consider an exchange. (I don’t fault them — reviews across the internet make it clear this is how the company operates). You would think that a company founded on word-of-mouth marketing would want to be sure that they stand behind their products. Nope! I don’t know about you, but I can’t afford a pair of $165 shoes that I can only wear a few times. It’s such a shame because I already had other colors in mind to order next. Now instead of me being an evangelist for Rothy’s as cute, must-have shoes, I will be telling everyone I possibly can not to waste their money. I don’t think that “most” Rothy’s shoes are likely defective, but when the ones a given customer purchases are, the company needs to make it right, because word-of-mouth works both ways. Utter fail from Rothy’s. I plan to follow up with a letter to their head of marketing Elie Donahue to be sure that company leadership knows what is happening with the brand.
I received a medical professional…
I received a medical professional discount so I ordered 3 pairs of different shoes. I was surprised to find that 2 pairs were really not suited to my feet. They fit, they just didn't feel right. I returned the shoes, but they also returned the discount. I contacted their customer service to see if the discount could be applied to the shoes I was keeping but they said no, it's one time only, and the computer applied the discount to the pair I didn't like and could not be transferred. There's no way- truly. They advertise they support medical professionals but like, really its very restrictive. Customer service told me the next time I got a discount code from them, only buy one pair of shoes in that order. Weird! Telling me not to try and buy more at one time??? These people are weird. The one pair was good, but they may also have bad shoes...

Shoes developed holes in toe and sides in less than 3 months only being worn 1-2 times a week. Company unwilling to provide replacement or refund. Least durable shoes I’ve ever owned that cost more than $20.
Unfortunate b/c I liked the look and were reasonable comfortable.
I ordered a pair of ROthy's flats on April 30
I ordered a pair of ROthy's flats on April 30. The website says 3-7 business days for free delivery. As of May 16, no shoes. UPS tracker shows that the package has been stuck at a UPS station since May 7. Customer service reps responded to my queries by ignoring that the shoes were stuck and assuring me they were "in transit." I asked what their policy was -- for example, send a new pair fed ex along w a return form in the event the delinquent pair ever showed up, at which point we were disconnected and i received a notice of refund, and return form. I would have thought Rothy's would want me to have the shoes. Surprisingly poor service for shoes w such a good reputation. Rothy's could learn from Saks and Neimans.

Do not bother purchasing from Rothys. My daughters 165.00 shoes got a hole in the in less than to years! There summer shoes so you can only wear them half the year! Called, e mailed pictures. Clearly they can see the hole. Said it’s wear and tear and won’t do anything about it! Seriously 165.00 pair of shoes and you’ll do nothing!!! They clearly don’t care about their customers! We will never purchase from them again! And will tell everyone we know not yo bother!!! Save your money!!!
Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Ordered a pair of shoes for a work event with no communication from Rothy’s for several days. I was looking forward to receiving my shoes when suddenly I get an email saying the item was out of stock and my order was canceled. First of all, why allow a customer to buy a product if it is out of stock? Suddenly, why does it take several days to get this notification? Now I’m without the shoes in time for my event. Since I used a promo code, I could not use it again to order a new pair. I emailed asking for assistance, twice. No response. Finally, I have to go to the chat where their “brand ambassador” just tells me she will request a new code for me, but that I am going to have to wait. Seriously? What a disorganized company and negative experience. And absolutely no apology for the poor service or any attempt to make things right for the customer. I will probably just buy my shoes somewhere else.
The shoes are very cute and…
The shoes are very cute and comfortable. I have 3 pairs, 1 point and 2 round toes. I’m sad to say that all of mine have developed holes where my pinky toe rubs on one side and on the point pair the holes are also near my big toe area. I purchased them in 2018-2020 and the holes started showing within the first 2 years. So in all they last probably a normal amount of time with daily wear.
Not worth it
I was excited to find a durable/sustainable work shoe and Rothy’s seemed wonderful, ordered 2 pairs they were cute and fit well but wore holes in the top in less than 3 months. Customer service was not helpful and claimed it to be “normal wear and tear”. Especially for the price would not recommend, very disappointing.
